Previously announced deals include Spain (Flins y Penicuals), Italy (Adler Entertainment), Cis (Voxell), Switzerland (Filmcoopi), Israel (Red Cape Distribution), Taiwan (CaiChang), and Middle East (Selim Ramio & Co), with Scandinavia in negotiation.
The warm-hearted adventure with CGI-animated animals is set in an unusual school where the children receive a magical animal as a companion. When Ida moves to a new town with her mother, she is not at all thrilled by the prospect. But...

BERLIN -- MFG Baden-Wuerttemberg, the southern German state's funding institution, announced the recipients of the latest round of subsidies, with "Four Minutes" director Chris Kraus and Frankfurt-based animation house Scopas Medien AG being among the recipients.
Kraus' "Poll" -- his highly anticipated follow-up to "Four Minutes", which won the German film award last year -- will receive 200,000 euros ($310,000). The drama, set on the eve of World War I, already received 450,000 euros ($700,000) in January from local funding body Medienboard Berlin-Brandenburg.
Alexandra Kordes and Meike Kordes are producing the film, which was planned to go into production this year, but has recently been pushed back to 2009.
Animated kids feature "The Sandman and the Lost Sand of Dreams" -- based on the popular puppet show for children, which was a regular treat for kids in East and West Germany, with two distinct yet similar versions produced in each country from 1959-90 -- was given 200,000 euros ($310,000) in funding.
