This has been one fantastical half-season of ABC’s Once Upon a Time, and tonight’s winter finale is sure to keep us “hooked” until it returns in January.
So far, the second season of the drama has introduced us to new characters, new lands and new challenges for the goodie goods and the baddie bads — what more could fans ask for?
A lot, actually. Even though genies limit their masters to three wishes, here are my seven wishes for tonight’s episode, entitled “Queen of Hearts”:
1. There will be an intense race to Rumpelstiltskin’s prison cell.
When last we left our fairytale friends, Snow White (Ginnifer Goodwin) and Emma Swan (Jennifer Morrison), along with Mulan (Jamie Chung) and Princess Aurora (Sarah Bolger), headed to the cell where Snow and Charming (Josh Dallas) imprisoned Rumpelstiltskin/Mr. Gold (Robert Carlyle).
Mr. Gold relayed the message to Snow and Emma,...

Once Upon a Time Photo Preview: Sebastian Stan Guest Stars as the Mad Hatter in Episode 17
Mary Margaret will be arrested in the upcoming March 18 episode of Once Upon a Time, but that's just the start of her trouble. In the March 25 episode, titled "Hat Trick", Mary Margaret will actually go missing. And she's not the only one in danger. While Emma is searching for Mary Margaret, she'll be "kidnapped by a man whose affinity for hats has him teetering on the edge of madness."
Sebastian Stan (from Captain America and Gossip Girl) will be making a guest appearance in the March 25 episode as the Mad Hatter. In fact, ABC says that we'll be leaving the fairytale world as we know it. Apparently the Evil Queen convinces a man who is skilled with magic to work for her and he travels to Wonderland to steal something from the Queen of Hearts.

Supernatural Review, Season 7, Episode 7: “The Mentalists”
Written by Ben Acker & Ben Blacker
Directed by Mike Rohl
Airs Fridays at 9pm (Et) on the CW
This week, on Supernatural: The Universe just won’t let Sam and Dean quit each other, Ellen makes her voice heard, and pretenders shouldn’t play with Ouija boards.
Supernatural has been on a bit of a run, smartly balancing horror and comedy, and that trend continues this week. However, “The Mentalists” succeeds where most of the other episodes this season have failed, with its emotion and look at the Sam and Dean relationship. It also manages to succeed despite the absence of Bobby; Jim Beaver has long been one of the strongest assets to the series, and it’s easy for episodes without him to feel somehow lacking. It’s not a particularly standout episode, but it’s one that feels increasingly solid upon further reflection.
