After a 15-year wait, one of the biggest-selling music stars is finally ready for her comeback: Shania Twain will return this September with her anticipated follow-up to 2002’s Up!, she announced Tuesday. The Grammy-winning singer will also release the album’s lead single, “Life’s About to Get Good,” in June.
Earlier this year, Twain took EW behind the scenes of her new record; she revealed that she drew upon years of stored-up musical ideas that she collected on various recording devices.
“I’m forever backing things up,” she said. “So if it’s a rainy day or I’m bored,...

When bands change their line-up, speculation of huge rifts and clashes often goes into overdrive. Tackling speculation of their own group's troubles head on, Editors have created a documentary ahead of the release of their fourth studio album.
The Huffington Post UK can exclusively bring you the half hour doc, which explains how they came to the decision to part ways with guitarist Chris Urbanowicz in April 2012, in the video above.
Vocalist Tom Smith reveals: "When it went wrong with Chris my gut was to pull the shows and take time to see how we got on with this. But it's a democracy and my opinion was out voted and I'm glad it was."
The group now consists of frontman Tom Smith, Russell Leetch, Ed Lay, Justin Lockey and Elliott Williams.
The Birmingham-based band, who originally formed in 2002 and already have two number one albums under their belt, have now...

“When you don’t know where you’re going, any road will take you there,” Dawes lead singer Taylor Goldsmith sings on the Southern California band’s bouncy “From A Window Seat,” the first single from the Jacquire King-produced “Stories Don’t End,” out April 9. [More after the jump...] The song, which chronicles a frequent flier’s first-person account as he views the country from 35,000 feet, has a train-like chugging, persistent beat, punctuated by a striking guitar solo during an instrumental bridge. The story takes some interesting twists as the protagonist at first is observing his fellow passengers and the flight attendants, whose motioning...

On their 2006 debut, Robbers And Cowards (and to a lesser extent on 2008’s Loyalty To Loyalty), Cold War Kids scratched out a sort of rag-and-bone sophistication, turning scavenged bits of clattering indie-rock, needling blues riffs, and Nathan Willett’s soulful howl into something raw and romantic. If Robbers And Cowards were a person, the new Mine Is Yours would be staring down at it disdainfully from a penthouse window. Described by Willett as “richer and classier,” the group’s third effort lolls in the lap of studio-gloss luxury provided by Kings Of Leon producer Jacquire King, seemingly aspiring ...

Kings of Leon's new album Come Around Sundown represents a big turning point for the band, as it is their first release since they broke out in gigantic fashion with the single "Use Somebody" (from their 2008 album Only by the Night). Produced by Angelo Petraglia and Jacquire King (the same team behind Only by the Night), the new album continues the trend the band began on their previous effort. It's full of lush production and massive hooks with full-throated choruses and singalong melodies. If you liked Only by the Night, you'll probably love Come Around Sundown.
But what have the critics said about Only by the Night, which will no doubt be one of the most written-about albums of 2010? Last week, MTV News' own James Montgomery weighed in on the record, and he was mostly nonplussed. "Come Around Sundown is the Kings playing it safe, laying up close to the hole and settling for par,...

Norah Jones has put out an artwork which will be featured in the front cover of her new album titled "The Fall". Appearing alongside a St. Bernard, she is captured donning a white strapless long dress and black top hat.
A follow-up to Jones' second album "Not Too Late", "The Fall" is plotted to be made available for purchase across United States on November 17. This record will witness her "experimenting with different sounds and a new set of collaborators, including Jacquire King, a noted producer and engineer who has worked with Kings of Leon, Tom Waits and Modest Mouse among others."
"I knew I wanted to try some different things on this album," Jones commented on the new direction she takes for the new album. "I'd been playing with the same musicians for a long time. We're all still friendly and I hope we play together again, but it felt...
