Seamus Kelly was born in 1912 in Dublin, Ireland.
He was a drama critic for "The Irish Times," beginning in 1949, using the pseudonym "Quidnunc." He took a sabbatical from his regular career to play Flask in "Moby Dick" (1956). He continued as "The Irish Times" drama critic for three decades.
He died on June 10, 1979 in Dublin.
