- SpousesJoan Collins(March 11, 1972 - May 6, 1983) (divorced, 1 child)Anita Sobia(September 7, 1958 - February 1972) (divorced, 3 children)
- Father of Katyana Kass and Robert Kass.
- Although they'd divorced after eleven years of marriage, Kass and Joan Collins remained close, and she was with him when he died of cancer, three years later, at the age of 50.
- In 1968, The Beatles hired Kass to run Apple Records for them. During his tenure, many of Apple's various other divisions lost staggering sums of money, but the record division under Kass (which not only had the Beatles, but also Badfinger, Mary Hopkin, James Taylor, and others) was a tremendous success, earning millions of pounds for the company and offsetting all of the other loses. After Kass was fired by Allen Klein, who was brought in by John Lennon to "save" Apple Corps in '69, the record division quickly nosedived. Apple limped along mostly as a label for the solo records from The Beatles, until it ceased being anything much more than an accounting house in 1975...at which time Kass was already established and successful in motion pictures.
- Ex-stepfather of Tara Newley Arkle and Alexander Newley.
