- Øivind Johnssen was born on May 26, 1922 in Oslo, Norway. He was an actor and writer, known for It Happened One Night (1958), Kasserer Jensen (1954) and Trine (1952). He died on February 1, 2005 in Oslo, Norway.
- From 1959 he was a very popular sports commentator in Radio and TV, and for many years he was a regular commentator from the celebrations on the national day in Oslo.
- As an actor he played opposite the famous Swedish actor & director Victor Sjöström in Arthur Millers play: Death of a Salesman, at the theater in Trondheim. (1950).
