- Attended Mountview Theatre School, London 1976 and played small roles in UK Television including "The Dick Emery Show" and "The Squad". Formed UK punk rock band "The Cadets" in 1977 (Zoom Records), then segued into production design and construction (European and World Tours for Simple Minds, Japan, XTC, Imagination). Art director on many influential music videos made in UK (1883-85) including George Michael, Joan Armatrading, Big Country, Tears For Fears. Director of music videos for Bob Dylan, Aretha Franklin, Eurythmics, and concert films for Bill Wyman, Ringo Starr, Big Country. Wrote and directed debut feature Murder Story (1989) starring Christopher Lee and Alexis Denisof. - Changed his birth name from Mark McClure Cowley while working as a circus clown. On being told to perform under "something Italian", he picked the name Innocenti because it was the name of the company that manufactured the iconic Lambretta scooter and because of Visconti's 1976 film 'L'Innocente'.
