- Palle Huld was born on August 2, 1912 in Hellerup, Hovedstaden, Denmark. He was an actor and director, known for Olsen-banden ser rødt (1976), Min søsters børn vælter byen (1968) and De unge på 80 (1970). He was married to Edith Fleron. He died on November 26, 2010 in Copenhagen, Denmark.

- At the age of 15 in 1928 he won a competition in the newspaper "Politiken". The prize was a trip around the world at the centennial of author Jules Verne. He wrote a book : "Around the World in 44 Days with Palle" which became world famous. His story inspired a young cartoonist Hergé to create his famous character "Tintin".
