- Tenor saxophonist, better known as 'Bill' Holman. Studied at the Westlake College in California before joining the orchestra of Charlie Barnet for three years and Stan Kenton for another four years. Has also worked as an arranger and composed a theme song for Shelly Manne's Blackhawk band ("A Gem from Tiffany"). In 1991, he scored Natalie Cole's famous album "Unforgettable".
- He was drafted at the later end of World War II and served in the U.S. Navy from 1944 to 1946. Through the Navy, he studied mechanical engineering at the University of Colorado and then studied at UCLA.
- Graduated from Orange High School in Santa Ana, California where he played the tenor saxophone and formed a band.
