A native of Del Rio, Texas, Tex grew up on the family ranch, where he
learned to be a real cowboy. Tex is semi-retired now, and raises
Quarter Horses on his ranch near Wickenburg, Arizona, but he still
finds time to make appearances at film festivals, benefits and
nostalgia concerts whenever possible. Tex has at least two CDs
available, "Song of the Saddle" and "Rodeo Cowboy". He is known as the
"Rhinstone Ranger" and claims to be the last 'Lone Ranger', but ran
into problems (as did even
Clayton Moore) from the owners of the Lone Ranger
trademark.
