- José Herring (born December 31st 1967) is an American composer of film, streaming media and television scores. A prolific musician, he has worked in a number of genres, including Sci-Fi thriller (Ghostmaker), horror (Rugaru, Neighborhood Watch), comedy (Soul Talkin') as well as documentaries (No Time for Tears, Listen to the Hands of Our People).
Prolific on the independent film scene, José Herring has scored over two dozen films, one TV series, 2 documentaries and a commercial spot that have played on NBC Universal Networks, HBO, PBS, National Geographic Television, as well as foreign and domestic distribution.
Born in Puerto Rico and raised in Arizona, José studied music at The Julliard School of Music in New York City. "Because of my diverse background music to me is a well of unlimited possibilities.
