Dermot Healy was born on July 18, 1947 in Finnea, County Westmeath, Ireland. He was an actor and writer, known for The Guard (2011), Prison Door (2015) and I Could Read the Sky (1999). He was married to Helen. He died on June 29, 2014 in Ballyconnell, Sligo, Ireland.
When he nearly completed his degree in college, he dropped out and went back to London for the second time at the age of 18. He then worked as a security guard.
At the age of 15, he went to London to work in varies of shops and bars.
