Born in Virginia Beach, Virginia, Robin Hartl moved frequently as a
child, but spent her high school and college years in Eau Claire,
Wisconsin. Hartl earned a real estate degree and spent two years
selling real estate in the Eau Claire area. After moving to
Minneapolis, she worked in the commercial insurance business for eight
years.
She pursued her childhood dream in 1991 when she began a career in
acting and modeling. She was active in community theater, local
commercials, and industrial videos. She was hired by
Hometime (1992) in July
1992 to begin production of the 1993 season.
Hartl enjoys traveling, cross-country skiing, and biking. She shares
her home with several pets and is active with animal welfare issues.
She also donates many hours to community work. In 2001, Hartl was a
recipient of the Jaycee's Ten Outstanding Young Americans
award.
