- Was a member of The Gentrys, who had a hit in 1965 with "Keep On Dancin'".
- Made a guest appearance on [tt0227972!] in March of 2003. It was his first appearance on WWE programming since WrestleMania IX (1993).
- When the Hart Foundation severed ties with him, Hart managed The Fabulous Rougeau Brothers, which engaged in a feud with his former team.
- On the July 12, 1986, episode of WWF on MSG Network (1973), he won a battle royal by hiding under the ring the entire time and waiting until the last two competitors, Greg Valentine and The Junkyard Dog, had eliminated each other.
- Several of the themes he composed for WCW wrestlers were blatantly based on existing songs (e.g., Elix Skipper had a theme based directly on DMX's "Party Up (In Here)"). As a result, on TV Tropes, he is the former Trope Namer for Suspiciously Similar Song, which was originally called The Jimmy Hart Version.
