- Robert Hakim was born on December 19, 1907 in Alexandria, Egypt. He was a producer, known for Belle de Jour (1967), Purple Noon (1960) and Les bonnes femmes (1960). He died on February 9, 1992 in Paris, France.

- Egyptian-born producer. With brother Raymond Hakim co-founded Paris Film Production in 1934. Robert was later briefly successful in Hollywood as co-producer of The Southerner (1945), then returned to France in the early '50s to produce several key films, including Casque d'Or (1952), The Adultress (1953) and Lovers of Paris (1957).
