Producer Guest Dies
Award-winning movie producer Don Guest has died, age 75.
He passed away on 23 April in Tours, France. He had recently suffered a fall, but the specific cause of death has yet to be specified.
Guest, who started out as an in-demand production manager, began producing films in the 1970s, and was behind movies including Paris, Texas, the winner of the Palme d'Or award for best film at the 1984 Cannes Film Festival.
His other producing credits include 1986's At Close Range and Shadow of China in 1990.
He is survived by his wife, three children and three grandchildren.
