Voyo Goric was born in 1940 in Gacko, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Yugoslavia as Vojislav Govedarica. Before Voyo came to the United States, he worked in his home land as a life guard during the day and as a night club bouncer at nights. In America, he worked as a body guard which lead him to become friends with Sylvester Stallone. Later, Stallone chose him for a role in Rambo: First like Part 2. He often plays big, tough military men or thugs.
He is known for his work on Rambo: First Blood Part II (1985), Lionheart (1990) and Universal Soldier (1992).

In 1981, Goric emigrated to the United States and arrived in LA, where he got a job as a bodyguard, and then became friends with Sylvester Stallone, who later gave him a the role as Yushin in Rambo 2 in 1985.
Before getting into acting, he lived in Belgrade, and earned a living as a lifeguard on the beach and a bouncer at nightclubs.
