- James Gale is known for Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation (1994), 3 Ninjas: High Noon at Mega Mountain (1998) and The Others (2000).
- During shooting for his scenes as 'Rothman' in "Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation," Mr. Gale was also appearing on stage as the title character in the Houston Shakespeare Festival's 1993 production of Henry V.
- 2005 "Barrymore Award" nominee for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Play for his performance in "Raw Boys" at Philadelphia's Wilma Theatre.
- Gale was the son of British journalist and magazine editor George Gale, and step-son of historian Maurice Cowling.
