- Charles M. Fries was born on August 6, 1952 and is the eldest of seven siblings. Fries is a graduate of Occidental College where he majored in Economics and Philosophy, graduating in 1974 with honors. After graduating from Georgetown Law School in 1977, Fries was employed at Fries Entertainment, Inc. from 1977 to 1992 as Senior Executive Vice President and a member of the Board of Directors. During Fries' tenure Fries Entertainment produced over 125 motion pictures and accumulated a library of 400 films which it distributed worldwide in all media. He is currently President and chief operating officer of Fries Film Group, Inc. ("FFG") a production / distribution company founded in June 1994. Among the completed pictures produced and / or distributed by FFG are: _Call of the Wild, The (1997)_ starring Rutgar Hauer; _For Hire (1998)_ starring Rob Lowe and Joe Mantegna; Wildflowers (1999) starring Daryl Hannah, Eric Roberts and Clea Du Vall; _Sinbad: Beyond the Veil of Mist (2000)_ an animated feature with the voice talents of Brendan Fraser and Leonard Nimoy; _New Adventures of Pinocchio, The (2000)_ starring Martin Landau and Udo Kier; _LAPD: To Protect and to Serve (2001) (TV)_ starring Dennis Hopper, Michael Madsen and Charles Durning; Time of Fear (2002) starring Nick Mancuso. Pictures in post production include: "Bandido" starring Carlos Gallardo, Angie Everhard, Matt Craven and Kim Coates; "Laguna" starring Joe Montegna, Emmanuel Seigner. Pictures in preproduction include _Alien Agent (2003)_ starring Mark Dacascos.
