Amsterdam’s 13th annual Roze Filmdagen, or Pink Film Days, the city’s gay and lesbian film festival, has kicked off, showcasing a wide array of feature films, documentaries and shorts, with the aim of attracting as wide an audience as possible. Promoting the festival were two cleverly designed posters designed by Dutch artists Lernert Engelberts and Sander Plug from We Love Our Work (www.weloveourwork.com). The simple yet effective designs are based on two existing film posters. Two iconic movie couples were separated to form new ones: Humphrey Bogart embraces John Travolta, while Ingrid Bergman is displayed cheek to cheek with Olivia Newton-John.
As Bogart might quip at his new poster: “Here’s looking at you, kid”...
