- Anson Dyer was born on July 18, 1876 in Brighton, Sussex, England, UK. He was a director and writer, known for Peter's Picture Poems (1917), Dollars in Surrey (1921) and Three Little Pigs (1918). He died on February 22, 1962 in Cheltenham, Gloucestershire, England, UK.
- Pioneer British animator, trained at the Brighton School of Art, specialising in industrial design. His evident skills led to employment with the British Colonial and Kinematograph Company, subsequently producing children's cartoons for Hepworth and Walton in the 1920's. He created the cartoon character 'Bobby the Scout'. Dyer formed Analysis Films in 1939, supplying material for the Ministry of Information.
