- Was an accomplished golfer.
- Played Joe Morgan in Dale Easton's The Drunkard when it debuted in Topeka, Kansas in 1960.
- Attended Santa Monica City College majoring in theater arts. He was also on the diving team.
- Was considered for the role of John F. Kennedy in PT 109 (1963).
- Starred opposite Jackie Coogan in The American Dream at the Civic Playhouse in 1962. The play also featured Margaret Hamilton and Alice Reinheart.
- After leaving Hollywood he taught theater at Topeka West High School, in Topeka, Kansas. He was also in charge of English curriculum.
