Edmund DiGiulio, who developed the Steadicam, worked closely with Stanley Kubrick and was one of the motion picture industry's most influential technological innovators, has died. He was 76. DiGiulio died Friday at his home in Malibu after a long battle with congestive heart disease. He was a multiple Academy Award winner, including the Gordon E. Sawyer Lifetime Achievement Oscar in 2001, and also won an Emmy.
