- Gaye Delorme was born on March 20, 1947 in Thunder Bay, Ontario, Canada. He was a composer, known for Up in Smoke (1978), Things Are Tough All Over (1982) and Sleepwalkers (1992). He died on June 23, 2011 in Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
- [on performing with 'Crazy Horse', an acid-rock band in Toronto] The organ player had half of his organ missing, did every drug that was made. The lead singer was a glue sniffer, did 10 bags of glue per performance. The drummer shaved his head bald and ate leaves off trees because he had an acid experience with God. And the bass player was one of those dive-through-the-air rock and roller types.
- [on starting playing guitar in Vancouver in a liquor-free club] It was tea and cookies and lay on the floor, drop acid and listen to the band. Through that I started doing comedy with Tommy [Chong] in a strip club that had converted to a comedy club. But they didn't tell the clientele. I'm serious. They had signs on Main Street that said 'live topless entertainment'. So all these longshoremen would come up and the MC would have to explain. 'Okay, how many of yaz think think you're in a strip club?'
