- Has two PhDs and teaches American Sign Language. Dr. Delora was a professor at New York University teaching ASL 1 & 2 as well as conversational ASL.
- Is deaf: 100% loss in right hear and over 90% left ear. But speaks perfectly, uses sign language and still sings as well as signs to music.
- Began volunteering with the Special Olympics in 1972 and was recently awarded a gold, bronze & silver medal to honor her 30 years with the organization.
- Won silver and gold medals in Judo in Jr. Olympics.
- Jennifer's first play written was in second grade and it toured the entire school district. The second play she wrote played Off-Off-Broadway in 2000 with the Women's Theatre Festival.
- Toured with the The Go-Go's on their 25th Anniversary tour and was named the honorary fifth "Go-Go". Jennifer's line from Robot Holocaust (1987) is considered one of the worst film quotes of all time: "If we wake up dead, we'll know who to blame!" - "Queen Nyla" (Jennifer Delora) to a companion who wants to rest before going on with a dangerous journey, in Robot Holocaust (1987) (1986 video). She also won Razzie's for her roles in her first four films.
- Once lived on the Statue of Liberty island.
- Travels with her hearing dog - Angel, an American Eskimo miniature. Participated in Pageants since her early teens: Miss Catskill Area teen, Miss Teen Ulster County and many more including Miss America preliminaries in Ulster County, Miss Manhattan and also was Miss Murry Hill for a big pageant in New York City. Has garnered a lot of attention and prestigious placings and award for her photography. Jennifer has been a celebrity judge at many pageants including "Miss Deaf America" and is available for Pageant coaching (all ages), directing, hosting, entertaining and talent development.
- She has been writing scripts for consideration. With a variation from low budget horror to MOW to higher budget films with deep story lines and including deaf or disabled characters her scripts are getting noticed by some great people. Ann-Margret calls her an 'inspiration'. (May 2006)

- Jennifer relocated from NY to LA, and continued to travel for shows and concerts. She appeared at Dark Delicacies to promote the re-release of Frankenhooker - had a great turn out and a lot of fans were able to add to their collections. Her comic "Jennifer Delora - Nothing But Smoke & Mirrors" completed part 2. All items are on sale via online, auctions or by contacting Dr. Delora. (January 2007)
- Rides in the annual fall "Love Ride" (established by Jay Leno and attended by thousands of riders raising money for charity). Other celebrities who ride and have attended are Ann-Margret, Kris Kristofferson, Peter Fonda, Jay Leno, Larry Hagman and ZZ Top. Was the was first person to sign the Star-Spangled Banner and announcements as well as sign for the musical talent at the Love Ride and Lorenzo Lamas' "Ride for Life", where she signs the opening ceremonies and celebrity introductions.
- Runs theatre company "L.A. Bridges Theatre Co. of the Deaf" and the award-winning "AccessDeaf consulting" and had an all deaf youth choir which appeared in the movie "Breaking Through".
- First person to sign a service at St. Patrick's Cathedral in New York City.
- Dances as a Schuhplattler since 1970 (Tillsoner Die Bergvagabunden/Kingston Die Bergvagabunden)in her spare time. Now with the Die Gemuitlichen Schuhplattlers out of the Phoenix Club in Anaheim, CA.
- Second woman in Miss America History to be de-crowned - from 1986 Miss Ulster County/Miss New York state - only two years after Vanessa Williams. Her crown, trophy, contestant number and awards for winning the Talent competition (by performing a rousing song and dance to a show tunes compilation) and Miss Congeniality awards - still adorn her trophy case.
- Was NYS Swimming Champion for Jr. Olympics with gold, silver & bronze medal. Still cliff dives and swims competitively.
- Can sign two one verse of a song with one hand while signing a completely different verse with the other at the same time. Is double jointed. Was a cheerleader in High School and won many local, regional, state and national awards including the individual Spirit Award. Was invited back to her high school alma mater to discuss her films & the making of films and special effects for a film class there. Something she dreamed about doing while attending Kingston High School some 30+ years ago.
- This year Jennifer is continuing work on her books as well as consulting and appearing in various projects for stage, TV & film. She was the consultant brought in by the State of California & the production company, to help cast and supervise the award winning & very successful production of the State's DDTP (Deaf & Disabled Telephone Project) which features print & TV ads including actors of various disabilities. From billboards to magazine ads to TV ads & brochures, she appeared as a model but her work as a consultant & advisor with the production was the key to a successful campaign. She'll be heading toward her 30th High School reunion and began her membership and working with Deaf Women in Film to work within this creatively rich community to bring productions of all sorts by Deaf filmmakers, actors, writers, producers, directors - to create rich experiences in entertainment surrounded by many other talented & well known & unknown, new & upcoming as well as famous & new artists coming together to create projects for the general public. - Jennifer continues to travel approximately 2 weekends a month as a Celebrity Guest at numerous conventions across the United States: Hollywood Collectibles, from NY to NJ, from California, Kentucky, Ohio, Chicago and everywhere in between. Attending these great film festivals and conventions signing autographs, selling her photos, DVD's and posters etc, is a great way to keep in touch with her fans and to continue to bring them new items, updated & re-released versions of her films, comic book, artwork & autographed photos including film set photographs. - Currently traveling the celebrity autograph circuit and is available for work in all areas of TV/Movies & Stage. She's also a producer and award-winning Technical Advisor for films/TV etc., involving Deaf & Hard of Hearing plots, characters & actors. (August 2006)
- 2008-2009: Jennifer still travels for autograph conventions, concerts, lectures, workshops & Guest Artist positions as actor, director, writer & producer. New inventory items are added regularly. "This year Bad Girls Dormitory", Jennifer's first film, was re-released and a film crew added interviews & extras with Jennifer answering fan questions and giving details about the behind the scenes of the making of the film. The comic "Jennifer Delora: Nothing but Smoke & Mirrors" is almost complete. The final selection is added and the book in it's entirety is available to the general public beginning in 2009. Jennifer also traveled to Salt Lake City to perform a Fireside show which included a concert of ASL music. She also performed at various other functions and is working with various directors and film companies on several of her scripts to be in development. Production will begin sometime in 2009 continuing through 2010 & on going. Jennifer continues to ride her motorcycle & can be seen riding with other celebrities on casual rides from the Rock Store and also participating in charity rides. She has done several trips including one to Mexico joining other celebrities in riding to raise money for various charities. Often they also include Jennifer in her various fund-raising events - by having her perform her ASL concerts. By this time Jennifer appears in many books on Film - the Psychotronic Video Guide, Who's Who in Films, and so many more as well as Bare Facts by Craig Hosada. She also had the honor of being the subject of artist Michael Calandra's great talent for his one of a kind "Sexy Witch" artwork. Calandra is known world-wide for his beautiful artwork showing strong, sexy "Femme Fatales". (January 2008)
