The 11h episode of “Survivor 43” aired on Wednesday night and concluded with host Jeff Probst snuffing out the torch of Sami Layadi. The nineteen-year old from Las Vegas, Nevada was sent packing and became the fifth member of the jury. Did the tribe make the right decision by voting Sami out? And what were the dumbest, most shocking and most exciting moments of the last episode?

Top Moments of Episode 11:
1. Post Tribal Angst: Is there anything better than watching the initial reactions when the remaining castaways return to camp? Just something so unintentionally hilarious in my opinion, but I am sure that as they watch it unfold on screen, they are less jovial. Gaia is the equivalent of the Island of Misfit Toys at this point — but with chaos. Sami Layadi...

Wednesday’s 11th episode of “Survivor 43” marked a turning point in the game of Sami Layadi, one of the youngest players (at 19 years old) to ever seriously contend for the win. Unfortunately, his strategy of straddling the fence between two alliances caught up with him and the two sides combined for the easy vote this week to send him to the jury. Read on for his “Survivor 43” exit interview from the end of the episode.
Up until this point in the game, Sami had been expertly playing both sides of the game in a way that placed him on the right side of the vote each time. Last week we chose the wrong side in an attempt to blindside Karla Cruz Godoy, but the majority swayed against Noelle Lambert instead. Karla and Sami had worked closely in previous votes, so his vote burned a bridge with her while also showing...

Following last week’s elimination of Noelle Lambert from “Survivor 43,” only the Top 7 players remained in the running to win the 1 million grand prize. Of this group, three people still possessed immunity idols — Jesse Lopez, Karla Cruz Godoy and Cody Assenmacher — while the other four had nary an advantage to speak of — Owen Knight, Sami Layadi, Cassidy Clark and Mike Gabler. So whose torch did Jeff Probst snuff out at the conclusion of tribal council?

This week’s “Survivor 43” sneak peek video begins with Owen Knight returning to camp after Noelle Lambert‘s blindside, and he’s not a happy camper. After throwing his bag down onto the sand, he states in a private confessional, “This is not fun. This is terrible.” Owen then cackles wildly as he appears to spiral downward, sighing, “It’s like getting comical at this point.” Watch the video above.
Noelle is just the latest person he’d been close to on the island that ended up going home, and he was once again kept out of the loop by the other tribe members. “I keep finding myself as the closest person to the person who’s getting blindsided,” Owen notes, “and it’s depressing realizing that I’ve just been outfoxed for like the nine billionth time.”

After the elimination of Morriah Young from “Survivor 43,” the Baka tribe was at a noticeable numbers disadvantage compared to their competition. Thus, they went into the second episode with success on their minds, because another immunity loss would drop them to four tribe members, compared to six each for Coco and Vesi. So who won the second immunity challenge, and which castaway ended up having their torch snuffed by Jeff Probst?

Wednesday night on CBS, Jeff Probst officially lit the torch on the 43rd season of “Survivor.” Just like the last two cycles, this year’s crop of 18 contestants have been divided into three tribes and come from diverse backgrounds and walks of life. In Wednesday’s two-hour premiere, viewers met the new castaways and found out who had the unfortunate title of being the first person voted off the island.

The first episode of a new “Survivor” season can often feel like homework to longtime fans, as they’re introduced to 18 brand new personalities and multiple tribes within the span of an hour. That’s why Gold Derby is providing you with this handy dandy cheat sheet of the “Survivor 43” tribe designations and colors. Scroll down to see how the 18 castaways have been divided into the Baka (yellow), Coco (blue) and Vesi (red) tribes for this Fall 2022 installment. The show premieres Wednesday, September 21 on CBS.
First up, a quick reminder that “Survivor 43” filmed in early spring in the beautiful islands of Fiji (the show’s permanent home). And once again, there will be no theme/subtitle for the new cycle. Gone are the days of titles like “Survivor: Worlds Apart” or “Survivor: Edge of Extinction,” replaced instead by the number of the season. It’s likely this trend will continue for “Survivor 44,” “Survivor 45,” etc.

So this is where I want the beginning of the rest of my life to happen.” Watch the full clip below.
“I’m going to win. I just know it,” she asserts. “I’ve got the universe on my side, you know I’m super in tune with that energy and I feel like people overlook that so much. Like, how to manifest. People just see that as woo-woo, but I know that that’s where the true power lies.” Adding, “The fox is actually my spirit animal. It’s mischievous, it’s clever, I...
