The Devil's Hour is returning to Prime Video for two more seasons. The UK thriller was previously billed as a six-episode series, but there's more story to tell. Filming on seasons two and three will begin in early 2023.
Starring Jessica Raine, Peter Capaldi, Nikesh Patel, Phil Dunster, Meera Syal, and Benjamin Chivers, the series follows a social worker named Lucy Chambers (Raine) who wakes every night at the same time with terrifying visions. Lucy, her son, and her mother are all haunted and she is drawn into the hunt for a serial killer.

One of Amazon Prime’s most recent releases, The Devil’s Hour premiered on 28th October, and is a twisty, high-concept thriller that will keep you guessing all the way through its six episodes.
The series is written by Tom Moran, and comes from the team behind Sherlock and Dracula, including former Doctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat. The plot centres on a troubled woman who wakes up every night at 3.33am – the so-called devil’s hour – and sees terrifying visions, which get her caught up in a series of brutal murders and a disappearance from many years ago.
The show boasts an impressive lineup of acting talent – so let’s meet the cast of The Devil’s Hour:
Peter Capaldi as Gideon Shepherd
Capaldi plays the reclusive Gideon, an apparently murderous obsessive on a mission, and a mysterious, enigmatic figure. We’ve recently rounded up Peter Capaldi’s best roles, but...

Warning: contains Major spoilers for The Devil’s Hour finale.
To say that The Devil’s Hour packed a lot in to its six-hour story would be an understatement. There was a serial killer thriller, a ghostly horror, a child abduction mystery, a love story, a gangland crime tale and a family drama… all wrapped up in existential Nietzschean philosophy. By the end, it was a little of Life After Life plus a little of The Time Traveler’s Wife plus a little of Quantum Leap plus a little of Marcella plus a lot of other ideas given not quite enough room to breathe. As a result some viewers could well be left thinking… what?
With major spoilers (please don’t read on until you’ve watched it all) for the finale and everything that came before, here’s our best attempt to break down just what went on, what we know, and...

I’m always scandalised when someone allows their kid to play the creepy weirdo on TV. I imagine the character prep they do at home. When you go to work today, sweetie, I want you to act like you’ve seen a ghost who’s told you not to tell anyone. I want you to stare unblinkingly into the sky like it’s whispering secrets. Today, I want you to wee on a bully’s rucksack when the director tells you to, but at real school, handle your problems with words. Do you tell your son he’s playing the freak? Do you tell him that if he’s deranged enough, adults will dress as him for Halloween for decades to come?
The haunting thriller The Devil’s Hour (Amazon Prime Video) stars just such a child actor (Benjamin Chivers), though it’s too soon to say if his Isaac will...

For horror fans, Halloween isn’t just a holiday – it’s a state of mind. While most studios, networks and streaming platforms are fine with dropping most of their new horror content in the month of October, that’s just not enough to satisfy our jones for new tales of terror. I recently listed some of the new and upcoming horror movies to keep watch for – both this month and the weeks and months to follow – and it’s about time we did the same for TV series as well.
October brought us some excellent new and returning horror shows to networks and streamers, from a new season of Chucky to some chilling premieres like Interview with the Vampire, and there are still plenty more rolling out in the coming weeks. But right now, I’m going to focus on six new horror series that are coming your way soon...

Are you ready for "a big ball of wibbly wobbly, time wimey stuff" that has very little to do with "Doctor Who," other than the fact that it happens to star Peter Capaldi, the Twelfth Doctor? If so, look no further than "The Devil's Hour," which perp-walks Capaldi in a red prison jumpsuit for all the world — or at least Prime Video viewers — to see. You don't have to be a subscriber to Prime Video to watch the trailer for "The Devil's Hour," but that's where this new six-episode series will be streaming.
"The Devil's Hour" sees Capaldi sitting across an interrogation room table from Jessica Raine, who plays a woman named Lucy Chambers, with a link to one of several victims that Capaldi's character, Gideon, is suspected of killing. The series is created by Tom Moran, but there's one other "Doctor Who" connection with it in that Steven Moffat...
