A comedy for
Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In (1967), one of his best one-liners was a simple sketch between the gruff-voiced dirty old man Tyrone (
Arte Johnson), who asks the homely spinster Gladys Ormpby (
Ruth Buzzi), "Do you believe in the hereafter?" "Yes," she says. To which he leeringly replies, "Then you know what I'm here after." Gladys then proceeds to bop Tyrone over the head with her handbag.
