- Georges Brossard was born on February 11, 1940 in La Prairie, Québec, Canada. He was an actor, known for The Blue Butterfly (2004), The Hidden Fortress (2001) and Le coeur au poing (1998). He was married to Suzanne. He died on June 26, 2019 in Saint-Mathieu-de-Beloeil, Québec, Canada.

- Because of his work for the Insectarium and on TV, he received honorary doctorates in sciences from UQTR and McGill.
- Son of Brossard city founder Georges-Henri Brossard, he was a notary public and amateur entomologist. He had collected around 250 000 specimens in his private collection. This collection was part of the Montréal Insectarium he founded and that opened on 7 February 1990. He helped found others afterwards.
