- Leslie Bridgewater was born on August 31, 1893 in Halesowen, Worcestershire, England, UK. Leslie was a composer, known for The Beloved Vagabond (1936), Against the Wind (1948) and Train of Events (1949). Leslie died on March 16, 1975 in Kowloon Tong, Hong Kong.

He composed incidental film music and also led a harp septet and the Leslie Bridgewater Quintet (in which he played piano). His 'serious' compositions include a String Quartet and a Piano Concerto, premiered on the radio in February 1947.
