While watching Killing Ariel (out this week on DVD from Mti Home Video), a certain Nat King Cole song came to mind, albeit with altered lyrics:
“So forgettable, that’s what you are
So forgettable though near or far…
“So forgettable in every way
And forever more, that’s how you’ll stay
That’s why, Killing Ariel, it’s incredible
That something so forgettable
Thinks that I am forgettable too.”
As for that last verse, I’m just assuming that’s what the filmmakers now think of me. And I don’t blame them—my parents don’t even like me. I recently just celebrated a birthday, and when I got home, there was a message from my mother in which she lamented and cursed the day that she gave birth to me while singing Cher’s “If I Could Turn Back Time.”
So, now you know the origin...
