- German-Dutch ballet dancer and screen actress, on the stage from 1925. Trained in diction by Ilka Grüning. Played ingénues in a few films of the 1930's. Emigrated to the U.S. after 1934 to evade Nazi persecution. Did not perform again from that point.
- She emigrated to the USA where she lived as Ery Grünfeld and died in Chappaqua at the age of 96.
- She was the daughter of the Dutch composer and pianist Coenraad V. Bos.
- Ery Bos had only a short film career but she took part in a dozen movies at all within three years.
- She established herself as a star in the cinema of the Weimar Republic, but was forced to flee following the takeover of the Nazi Party due to her Jewish background.
