On 21 September 1974 Horst Beck died unexpectedly during the rehearsals for a television play in Hamburg. He was only 61 years old.
He already impersonated his first role in a movie in 1933 for "Reifende Jugend".
In the 60s he acted not only in movies but also for television.
He continued his career after World War II not only at the theater but also in movies and TV productions.
