- Born in Stockton, California, and raised in Carmichael, a suburb of Sacramento, Robert was a professional musician, playing keyboards and singing with the bands Euphoria, Shanghai, Zazz, Mind Over Matter, Urgency and others before moving to Los Angeles in 1993. He came to Hollywood to fullfill a lifelong dream of working in the movie business and has concentrated on the technical side of on-set dialogue recording while continuing to pursue his ambitions as a film composer. Starting in 1995, as the cableman on the (unreleased) family film Amanda, shot in Montana, Rob has gone on to work as a boom operator and sound mixer on over 100 "shows", including television, commercials, shorts and feature films.
