Brad Slaight is a graduate of Central Michigan University who taught
high school in Michigan before moving to Los Angeles to pursue a
professional career in show business. In addition to appearing on TV
and in films, Brad is also a standup comedian and has performed at
colleges, clubs, and corporate events throughout the country. He is
also a world-renowned playwright and his many plays have been produced
extensively throughout the United States and dozens of foreign
countries.
Co-created with comedian and actor Bill Kirchenbauer: The "The Diabetes
Duo" Captain Glucose and Meter Boy, two well meaning diabetes
superheroes whose mission it is to Educate - To Enlighten - To
Entertain people with diabetes of all ages.
Drove out to California with his brother, Craig Slaight. Craig is now
the head of the Young Conservatory at the American Conservatory Theater
in San Francisco.
His company is called "Bitter is Better Productions".
Once weighed 300 pounds and lost 150 pounds. He says he is now "half
the man I used to be".
Roommates in college (Central Michigan University) with actor Terry O'Quinn.
