Really good episode. Superman and Lois just has much much better writing than The Flash. Like it's not written by kids. The recast was a little bit jarring but it wasn't a huge part of the episode. The fight scene was actually incredible. I don't know if the budget has massively increased or what but it has to be one of the best looking TV fight scenes in recent memory. I like that this show feels "premium" when compared to something like The Flash. S&L always has great cinematography and Tom Cavanagh did a great job with this episode. I would personally say that last season was a little bit rocky but I have high hopes for this one. I think it kinda is a weight off the shoulders that they actually separated this show from the "Arrowverse" last season; as much as I hated it at the time. Overall great start to the season, and much better than I actually expected. - DirectorElizabeth HenstridgeStarsTyler HoechlinElizabeth TullochAlex GarfinClark and Chrissy notice a small crack in Lois' game face; Sarah and Jordan have an awkward encounter; Lana receives a panicked phone call.6/10
Just a decent, alright episode. Kinda boring with all the "teenage" and school shit since I don't really care. There wasn't an actual "fight scene". Some interesting "developments" and good scenes but overall just a mid episode. - DirectorGregory SmithStarsTyler HoechlinElizabeth TullochAlex GarfinLois and Chrissy pursue a new lead in the Mannheim investigation against Clark's wishes; Jonathan, Jordan, and Nat attempt at a kind gesture is complicated by an unexpected obstacle; Lana, Sarah, and Kyle adjust to their own new normal.8.25/10
Very good ep. Mature themes handled in a good way and some good storylines. The fight sequence was good, and also the weird dream sequence didn't look too bad at all (apart from the 1 shot of lois standing there). - DirectorStewart HendlerStarsTyler HoechlinElizabeth TullochAlex GarfinLois interrupts an intense conversation between Clark and John Henry; Kyle tries to run interference between Sarah and Lana; Jonathan has a heated discussion with Candice's dad.9.25/10
The diner scene near the end of the episode was beast. Some engaging stuff this week. - DirectorDavid RamseyStarsTyler HoechlinElizabeth TullochAlex GarfinClark and General Lane are both having a hard time giving Lois room to make her own decisions; Lana and Sarah have a run-in with an old friend at the diner; Natalie has a surprise visitor.7/10
Great fight scene. The rest of the episode had some good directing and cinematography, but was a bit boring. I will say that the set design and overall budget is so good when compared to something like The Flash. They're doing filming outside often, and the sets all look really good. - DirectorDiana ValentineStarsTyler HoechlinElizabeth TullochAlex GarfinClark finds himself in uncharted territory; Lois bonds with a new friend; Superman pays Bruno Mannheim a surprise visit; Lana puts Sarah in charge while she's away at a meeting with Chrissy.6/10
Pretty mid episode. - DirectorAlvaro RonStarsTyler HoechlinElizabeth TullochAlex GarfinLois and Clark dig deeper on Bruno Mannheim, starting with his connections to Hob's Bay Medical Center; Jonathan and Jordan panic at home over Lois' dire diagnosis; Matteo comes to Smallville to meet John Henry.6.75/10
Alright. Some pretty stupid stuff in this ep. - DirectorGregory SmithStarsTyler HoechlinElizabeth TullochAlex GarfinClark and Chrissy try to pique Lois' interest in investigating Bruno, while Jordan inadvertently threatens Jon's standing with the fire department.7.25/10
Decent episode. First half was pretty boring ngl. Maybe I'm just in a bad mood but I wasn't really paying attention for the first 25 minutes. It did get tense towards the end and that's good. I liked the brotherly spat, and the VFX looked fine as always. - DirectorStephen MaierStarsTyler HoechlinElizabeth TullochAlex GarfinSuperman and John Henry clash over how to handle Bruno Mannheim; Lois worries over upcoming treatments and confides in Lana about her early courtship with Clark.7/10
Got some nice moments. The fight scene looked good. - DirectorElaine MongeonStarsTyler HoechlinElizabeth TullochAlex GarfinLois interviews Peia in the hope of unearthing the truth about an old case; Clarke struggles to spend quality time with the boys; Jonathan and Jordan find themselves at a party where tensions between Sarah and Jordan come to a head.7/10
It was decent. I really liked the moment at the end with Kyle and Clark. Other than that it was a pretty competent episode with some shaky CG for the car flip, but everything else looked fine. - DirectorJai JamisonStarsTyler HoechlinElizabeth TullochAlex GarfinWhile Lois undergoes lifesaving surgery, Peia's powers run out of control.
