Travis Fimmel was born near Echuca, Victoria, Australia, to Jennie, a recreation officer for the disabled, and Chris, a cattle farmer. He was raised on a 5500-acre farm located between Melbourne and Sydney. Until the age of seventeen, his life was spent at school and working on the family farm, morning and night-something he continues to relish on his trips back home.
After high school, higher education called and he was accepted to Melbourne University. It was not long until his intense curiosity led him to begin his global adventures.
While bar-tending in London, giving away almost as much beer as he sold, he met his would-be manager, David Seltzer. David saw a spark in Travis and suggested he move to the United States to become an actor and nurture his talent. Easily enticed by the arts, it was not long before Travis made the move to Los Angeles, and within a week began studying with renowned acting coach Ivana Chubbuck. The teaching veteran, in addition to Travis, has mentored Jake Gyllenhaal, Eva Mendes, Halle Berry, Brad Pitt and Charlize Theron.
Years of struggling and hard work continue to pay off and Travis has chalked up starring roles in several projects including Rocky Point (with Lauren Holly), Southern Comfort (with Madeleine Stowe and Eric Roberts), Restraint (with True Blood's Stephen Moyer), Ivory (with Martin Landau and Peter Stomare), Surfer Dude (with Matthew McConaughey and Woody Harrelson), and AE's The Beast (with Patrick Swayze). He is best known for his roles as Ragnar Lothbrok in Vikings (2013), and Anduin Lothar in Warcraft (2016).
Production has taken Travis all over the world but, between roles, he travels back to his family's farm as much as possible. Travis is quick to point out that it is his love for Australian Rules (AKA "No" Rules) Football, the countryside, his two older brothers, and a hard working lifestyle that keeps his feet firmly planted on the ground.- Actor

Jonathan Rhys Meyers was born Jonathan Michael Meyers on July 27, 1977, in Dublin, Ireland, to Mary Geraldine (Meyers) and John O'Keeffe, a musician. He and his family moved to County Cork, Ireland, when the actor was nearly a year old, and then, at the age of 3, his father left the family, leaving his mother to care for Jonny and his 3 younger brothers alone.
Rhys Meyers grew up with a tumultuous childhood and being permanently expelled from school at age 16. Happy to be out of school, he began spending time in a local pool hall where he was discovered by Hubbard Casting. The casting agents were talent-spotting for the David Puttnam production of War of the Buttons (1994), and asked Rhys Meyers to appear for an audition. After three days of auditions, however, he did not get the role, and Rhys Meyers gave up on his acting aspirations. Soon afterward, he received a call to audition for a national ad campaign for Knorr Soup, and though embarrassed by the attention from the ad, he soon found himself considered for a major film. His movie acting debut was a very small role in the film A Man of No Importance (1994), where his simple cast credit is as "First Young Man". His first lead role was in the film The Disappearance of Finbar (1996). During a 6-month postponement in production, he returned home to Cork and there received a call about the film Michael Collins (1996). He traveled to Dublin to meet with director Neil Jordan and successfully won the role of Collins' assassin. Jordan wrote about his meeting with the actor, "I have found someone to play Collins' killer. Jonathan Rees-Myers (sic), from County Cork, apparently, who looks like a young Tom Cruise. [He] Comes into the casting session with alarming certainty. Obviously gifted".
Rhys Meyers continued working constantly from that point and appeared in such films as The Maker (1997), Telling Lies in America (1997), and The Tribe (1998). Going on to film The Governess (1998), B. Monkey (1998), Titus (1999) and Ride with the Devil (1999), he has received critical acclaim for several performances, most notably as "Brian Slade" in Velvet Goldmine (1998), as "Steerpike" in the British mini-series Gormenghast (2000), and as a sympathetic football coach in Bend It Like Beckham (2002). Rhys Meyers is also a talented singer and musician, having performed his own vocals in Velvet Goldmine (1998) and appearing on the film's soundtrack. Rhys Meyers still resides in County Cork, Ireland.- Jordan Patrick Smith was born in 1989 in Scotland, UK. He is an actor, known for Unbroken (2014), Lovecraft Country (2020) and The Ruins (2008).
- Georgia Hirst was born on 26 December 1994. She is an actress, known for Vikings (2013), Ravers (2018) and Five Dates (2020).
- Born and raised in a small town southwest of Copenhagen, Alex Høgh Andersen, is currently starring as a series regular in the History Channel drama, Vikings (2013). Andersen made his debut in the season 4 mid-season finale and has now been positioned as a lead. He takes on the role of 'Ivar the Boneless,' the son of Ragnar Lothbrok's (Travis Fimmel), who is more dangerous than he appears. His character, along with Ragnar's other offspring, have been featured as children but will now make the transition to adulthood as part of the time jump in the series.
Andersen found his love for acting while studying drama at a school for young children between the age of 7 and 19. It was there that he learned the basics of acting including the discipline, focus, and teamwork it takes to succeed in the business. Andersen participated in many musical oriented plays and was fortunate to gain a lot of experience due to the many big parts he was responsible for. As his peers began auditioning for film roles, he realized around age 17 the difference between acting roles in front of an audience and in front of a camera. This translated into Andersen's work and he began auditioning and continued on to study Film and Media Studies at the University of Copenhagen. Andersen has appeared in numerous television and film projects in Denmark, and Vikings now marks his Hollywood debut.
When he is not acting, Andersen enjoys spending much of his time focusing on photography. He considers himself a visual minded person and continues to learn more and more about cameras, partly because of his experience shooting and directing short films. Andersen's also gives back what time he does have to charities such as Unicef, Care Denmark, and Kræftensbekæmpelse (Fighting Cancer). He very much relates to Fighting Cancer, as his mother was diagnosed with breast cancer 7 years ago. - Actor

John Kavanagh is one of Ireland's underrated character actors. Little detail is given on him, yet he has appeared in many well-known films and television series alongside a variety of actors.
Kavanagh began his career with the Irish comedy, Paddy (1970), where he played the small role of "Willie Egan". That same year, he played another small role in the World War II film, The McKenzie Break (1970), which is about a P.O.W. camp in Scotland, whose prisoners are preparing an escape.
The next twelve years brought Kavanagh no new films, though he continued to act on stage. Finally, he decided to return to screen acting with the theatrical film, The Ballroom of Romance (1982), which put him in a romance with accomplished actress Brenda Fricker. The film was followed up with the small film, Attracta (1983), and the made-for-television movie, The Country Girls (1983), starring Sam Neill.
Kavanagh's next theatrical film was one of the most famous films of his career: the Irish film Cal (1984), starring Helen Mirren and John Lynch. The film was about a young member of the IRA (Lynch) who is seeking to get out of the organization. He meets the widow of one of the IRA's victims (Mirren) and begins a love affair.
Moving on from this film, Kavanagh acted in a number of films and television series. He participated in the action film, The Joyriders (1999), the crime drama, Bellman and True (1987), the independent film, In the Border Country (1991), and the thriller, The Fantasist (1986), among others. Kavanagh's career picked up considerably in the mid-nineties. He acted alongside such classic actors as Mia Farrow and Jim Broadbent in the John Irvin film, Widows' Peak (1994). Kavanagh then guest-starred in the Sharpe series (starring Sean Bean and Hugh Fraser), where he played the holy man "Father Michael Curtis". That same year, he acted in the most talked about epic of its time: Mel Gibson's Braveheart (1995). Starring Gibson, Angus Macfadyen and Brendan Gleeson, Kavanagh acted as one of the nobles who routinely changed sides from Scotland to England in the Scottish wars of independence. The film won Best Picture and Best Director, and was a smash hit. After this fantastic success, Kavanagh acted in Some Mother's Son (1996), a prison film which was written by Jim Sheridan, and reunited with Brenda Fricker in Pete's Meteor (1998). He continued to act in other films throughout the nineties and, as the new millennium dawned, Kavanagh continued on to new projects. After a number of smaller films, Kavanagh acted in another historical epic, the mighty Oliver Stone film, Alexander (2004), starring Colin Farrell, Val Kilmer and Anthony Hopkins. Kavanagh played the role of "Parmenion", the old general who questions Alexander's actions. After a plot to kill the young leader is foiled, Parmenion is accused of being the mastermind behind it and is murdered. While the film was a triumph overseas, its domestic budget was a fraction of the budget, and it received negative reviews for a number of different reasons. After this, Kavanagh acted in Brian De Palma's murder film, The Black Dahlia (2006), which failed at the box office.
Kavanagh has rebounded with the successful television series, The Tudors (2007). Starring fellow Alexander (2004) cast member Jonathan Rhys Meyers, the series plays out the story of England's turmoil in the time of Henry the Eighth and his life as he breaks from the Catholic Church.- Marco Ilsø was born on 29 September 1994 in Denmark. An imposing figure (standing at 6'3") with intense, penetrating eyes and possessed of a larger-than-life personality, the actor George Raymond Stevenson began life as one of three sons, born in County Antrim, Northern Ireland, to a British pilot in the Royal Air Force. Raised near Newcastle in England after the family relocated, he initially studied art and worked for some time as an interior designer. However, after seeing a play with John Malkovich at the West End, Stevenson became inspired to study drama at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School. By the time of his graduation in 1993, he had already made his debut on the stage at the Barbican Theatre in London in the plays Temptation and Revenger's Tragedy.
He made his first recurring screen appearances in the TV crime drama Band of Gold (1995) (acting alongside his future wife Ruth Gemmell) and as DI Tony Baynham in the BBC procedural police series City Central (1998), which was briefly touted as a rival to The Bill (1984). Though Stevenson first attracted international attention as a dependable Knight of the Round Table in the motion picture King Arthur (2004), it was his charismatic performance as the rascally, hedonistic soldier Titus Pullo in HBO's historical series Rome (2005) which truly put him on the map.
More vigorous or pugnacious warrior roles soon came his way, beginning with a starring turn as the titular anti-hero vigilante Frank Castle in the ultra-violent Punisher: War Zone (2008), for which Stevenson put himself through strenuous martial arts and weapons training under the direction of U.S. Force Reconnaissance (FORECON) Marines. Among his subsequent gallery of colourful characters were the powerful Asgardian warrior Volstagg in Marvel's Thor (2011), Thor: The Dark World (2013), and Thor: Ragnarok (2017); the relentless enforcer Redridge in The Book of Eli (2010); an Irish mobster challenging the Cleveland Mafia for control of the city's criminal underworld in Kill the Irishman (2011); Porthos, one of the The Three Musketeers (2011); the much feared Blackbeard in Starz's excellent swashbuckling Black Sails (2014), and the enigmatic Anglo-Saxon missionary and explorer Othere in Vikings (2013).
Stevenson reserved one of the most compelling performances for the strangely sympathetic Russian gangster Isaak Sirko, chief antagonist in season seven of Dexter (2006), overshadowing even that of the star Michael C. Hall (definitely no mean feat!). Add to that another acting standout as the obsessed, revenge-driven Commander Jack Swinburne in the German-produced World War II drama series Das Boot (2018).
Having first joined the Star Wars universe as a voice actor (the Mandalorian Gar Saxon in Star Wars: The Clone Wars (2008)), Stevenson was later cast in the villainous role of dark Force user Baylan Skoll doing battle with the indomitable Ahsoka (2023) Tano (Rosario Dawson), complete with orange/red lightsaber. Stevenson said in a 2020 interview that he had drawn much of his inspiration from veteran tough guys like Lee Marvin and Gene Hackman: "Never a bad performance, and brave and fearless within that caliber. It was never the young, hot leading man; it was men who I could identify with."
Tragically, this supremely accomplished and charismatic actor died in Italy on 21 May 2023 while filming Cassino in Ischia, in which he was cast as a fading movie action hero attempting to revive his career. At the time of his passing he was just 58.- Frida Gustavsson was born on 6 June 1993 in Stockholm, Sweden. She is an actress, known for Vikings: Valhalla (2022), The Witcher (2019) and Tigers (2020). Byrne was the eldest of six children born to a family in Dublin, Ireland. His father was a cooper and his mother a hospital worker. He was raised Catholic and educated by the Irish Christian Brothers. He spent five years of his childhood in a seminary training to be a Catholic priest. He later said, "I spent five years in the seminary and I suppose it was assumed that you had a vocation. I have realized subsequently that I didn't have one at all. I don't believe in God. But I did believe at the time in this notion that you were being called." He attended University College Dublin, where he studied archaeology and linguistics, and became proficient in Irish. He played football (soccer) in Dublin with the Stella Maris Football Club.
Byrne worked in archaeology after he left UCD but maintained his love of the Irish language, eventually writing Draíocht (Magic), the first drama in Irish on Ireland's national Irish television station, TG4, in 1996.
He discovered his acting ability as a young adult. Before that he worked at several occupations: archaeologist, cook, bullfighter, schoolteacher of Spanish. He began acting when he was 29 - at first on stage at the Focus Theatre and the Abbey Theatre in Dublin, later joining the Royal Court Theatre and the Royal National Theatre in London.
Byrne came to prominence in the final season of the Irish television show The Riordans, later starring in the spin-off series, Bracken. He made his film debut in 1981 as Lord Uther Pendragon in John Boorman's King Arthur epic, Excalibur.
Byrne was featured as therapist Dr. Paul Weston in the critically acclaimed HBO series In Treatment (2008).
In his return to theater in 2008, he appeared as King Arthur in Lerner and Loewe's Camelot with the New York Philharmonic, which was featured in a PBS broadcast in the Live From Lincoln Center series in May of 2008.
Byrne did not visit America until he was 37. In 1988, Byrne married actress Ellen Barkin with whom he has two children. The couple separated amicably in 1993 and divorced in 1999. Byrne resides in Brooklyn, New York.
In November 2004, Byrne was appointed a UNICEF Ireland Ambassador.
In 2007 Byrne was presented with the first of the newly created Volta awards at the 5th Jameson Dublin International Film Festival. This was for lifetime achievement in acting. He also received the Honorary Patronage of the University Philosophical Society, of Trinity College, Dublin, on February 20, 2007. Television and film actor. Pentathlon Champion. Father. Werewolf... Born in Scarborough, Ontario and raised in a farm town northeast of Toronto, Kris' driven spirit has garnered success in many areas of his life. Kris knew he wanted to be an actor early on, however acting wasn't a widely-supported career choice in his family. Instead of pursuing it right away, Kris opted to attend Montreal's Concordia University School of Business to study international commerce. While continuing his education, Kris also competed in sports, as he was a strong athlete throughout grammar and high school. Quickly, he excelled as an athlete, becoming a member of the Canadian National Pentathlon Team and achieving silver medals from both the Pan American and Pan Pacific Pentathlon Championships for riding and fencing. Although Kris was an extremely talented athlete, both his financial situation and his interests lead him into the acting world.
In 1994, Holden-Ried joined a small agency in Montreal in the hopes of making some money, so he could continue his education. His first audition that came up was for the title/leading role in "Young Ivanhoe," a 12th century dramatic, children's period piece TV movie. Kris had the skills, the look, and luckily, as it turns out, the talent. He landed this first audition and has been working as an actor ever since.
Kris currently stars as 'Dyson,' in the Syfy series Lost Girl, where he portrays a very likable werewolf-shifter, working in the human world as a police detective. You can also see Kris as Quint in the fourth Underworld installment, Underworld Awakening, and The Returned.
Viewers may also know Kris as 'William Compton,' on Showtime's former hit series, The Tudors, (2007,) as he has been working nonstop for nearly two decades. Other credits include multi-episode arcs on Degrassi: The Next Generation, M.V.P. and The Bridge. His film credits also include K-19: The Widowmaker, Gossip, amongst others. To improve his craft, Holden-Ried has trained with Uta Hagen's Master Class Scene Study, and with Janine Manatis of the Actor's Studio NY and the National Film Acting School.
When Kris isn't acting, he enjoys adventure, traveling, and being outdoors. Some of his interests include sailing, scuba diving, surfing, and yoga, with one of his favorite films being Gandhi. If he could work with anyone, it would be some of the great, classic directors, such as Scorcese, Scott and Spielberg, as Kris would love to transition behind the camera one day. Kris lives in Toronto with his son and his Black Labrador, Hopper.- Diarmaid Murtagh was born on 28 July 1982 in Kingscourt, County Cavan, Ireland. Pollyanna McIntosh grew up in Portugal and Colombia before returning to her birthplace of Scotland, where she first began performing, on stage, at The Edinburgh Festival. At 16, she left for London and soon became involved in indie filmmaking (her first paid gig was as a stoner in Irvine Welsh's The Acid House (1998)) and theatre, both as an actress and director. A move to Los Angeles in 2004 brought on more theatre, including a production of "The Woolgatherer", in which she directed Anne Dudek (a regular on Mad Men (2007)/Big Love (2006)) and David Dayan Fisher (a regular on 24 (2001)/NCIS (2003)) to great reviews. She then landed her first US movie role as the manipulative, born-again Christian, "Stacy", in Headspace (2005). It was as the wild "Thumper Wint" in the comedy, Sex and Death 101 (2007) (Simon Baker/Winona Ryder), by Heathers (1988) writer Daniel Waters, that the critics began to take note of her talent, citing a unique blend of powerful sexuality and irreverent humor. Working in both LA and London, Exam (2009) was next, BAFTA-nominated as Outstanding British Debut and winner of Best Independent at the Santa Barbara Film Fest, the film's critics noted Pollyanna's performance was "smart, sassy and sexy in equal parts....the emotional center of the film" praised her capacity to find the "emotional vulnerability" of her seemingly tough and ambitious character. GQ simply stated "stunning Pollyanna McIntosh is an enormously talented actress". Como Quien No Quiere La Cosa (2013) (As if you Don't Like it!), is a hilarious South American farce in which she plays Brit comedian Trevor Lock's disgruntled wife. Shot in Peru, she speaks Spanish throughout. In Burke and Hare (2010), directed by John Landis, she plays Isla Fisher's bestie with Simon Pegg, Andy Serkis, Jessica Hynes, Tom Wilkinson and Tim Curry. Her demanding turn as the lead in Lucky McKee's The Woman (2011) made shock waves at Sundance 2011, brought rave reviews and topped the New York Times readers' favorite movies poll. For her performance, she was awarded three Best Actress awards, including Total Film's Frightfest Award and Fright Meter's. As the female lead in the BBC political comedy, Bob Servant Independent (2013), starring Brian Cox, she played the professionally critical "Phillippa Edwards", a very different sort of scary. In festival darling, Love Eternal (2013), she plays the female lead as a suicidal grieving mother. In the raucous Filth (2013), she played opposite James McAvoy and Jamie Bell, in the adaptation of Irvine Welsh's balls-out novel as the lusty Size Queen. Two successful British thrillers that see Pollyanna go from vulnerable to kick ass are The Blood Lands (2014), (known in the USA as The Bloodlands) and Let Us Prey also starring Game of Thrones' Liam Cunningham. In Sundance TV's Hap and Leonard also starring James Purefoy, Michael Kenneth Williams and Christina Hendricks, Pollyanna is nothing but kick ass as the neon-clad psycho killer, Angel. In US indy comedies Prevertere and The Famous Joe Project Pollyanna played it characteristically unsafe once again. Possibly her strangest role yet has been as Bobby in Ding Dong, teaming up once again with Lucky McKee for the 2014 anthology film Tales of Halloween. Pollyanna will next be seen in Blood on Wheels as the vicious biker gang leader Trigga. The film is produced by James Franco.- Actor

Ivan Kaye is internationally best known for his role as King Aelle in Vikings (2013). In 2022 he took a leading role in the Irish comedy movie Apocalypse Clown (2023). Notable recent work also includes StudioCanal's action film Gunpowder Milkshake (2021) and the Disney+ series Wedding Season (2022).
A remarkably versatile actor, Ivan Kaye already had a successful stage career in London's West End in dramatic and musical theatre before starting his work in television and film in his early thirties.
Born on 1st July 1961 in Northampton, Ivan Kaye recreated TV adverts at the age of two years and performed TV shows with his friends throughout his childhood. After a key experience at age eight, he joined a youth theatre group and took over organizational responsibility in his early teens. His parents were social workers who insisted that he should earn a university degree to give him additional options if his plans for an acting career didn't develop as anticipated, but during his academic education, he used every opportunity to perform in plays.
Hence Ivan Kaye managed to beat the odds and succeeded as a professional actor without a privileged background, any connections to influential players in the entertainment industry, or formal education at drama school.
Starting with theatre and musical performances, he made his stage debut at Sadler's Wells in 1980 in 'Charlie and the Chocolate Factory' as Willie Wonka, appearing throughout the 1980s with the National Theatre in 'The Changeling', 'Ghetto' and 'The Magic Olympic Games', as well as West End performances in 'The Rocky Horror Show' at the Piccadilly Theatre as Eddie and Dr. Scott, 'Serious Money' at Wyndham's and 'A View From the Bridge' at Bristol Old Vic, transferring to the Strand. His most recent theatre appearance was in the role of Tom Kettle in Jez Butterworth's critically acclaimed West End play 'The Ferryman' in 2017/2018 before its transfer to Broadway.
In 1992 he already had his own TV show at the age of thirty: He played the leading role in the name part of detective drama Sam Saturday (1992) and has since been seen as Reuben Starkadder in Cold Comfort Farm (1995), a duplicitous spouse in Bad Girls (1999), an initially questionable doctor in EastEnders (1985) and dim farm-hand Bryan in sitcom The Green Green Grass (2005).
More recently, he has appeared in less than sympathetic mode in productions that have reached an international audience and been dubbed into several languages like Assassination Games (2011) as well as period pieces The Borgias (2011) and Vikings (2013) (on his Twitter page he describes himself as "Villain for Hire"), but also in more lovable parts in crime drama shows like The Coroner (2015) and Sister Boniface Mysteries (2022) and in the mini-series The Woman in White (2018).
Since 2018 he has also put more focus on feature films for the big screen in several genres (comedy, action, and period drama) and has, once again, proven his passion for acting by starring in several comedy short films.
Being a household name at home and having co-starred with Hollywood actors in multiple films, Ivan Kaye's larger-than-life on-screen version of King Aelle of Northumbria has finally earned him worldwide fame. His career received another boost from 2017 onward when he first made a prestigious theatre comeback in 2017-18 and then joined several international film and series projects in 2018-2021 (e.g. Amazon's series pilot for an adaptation of Stephen King's The Dark Tower (2020), the female-led action thriller Gunpowder Milkshake (2021) and Disney+ series Wedding Season (2022)). Since 2022 he has returned to leading parts with a role in the Irish comedy feature Apocalypse Clown (2023).
Due to his enormous versatility, Ivan Kaye has been featured in a wide array of roles encompassing lead and main parts as well as antagonists, outright villains, and comical characters. Another one of his "superpowers" as an actor is to turn even underwritten side parts into memorable characters by infusing them with a vibrancy that leaves a mark in the minds of the audience.
As a founder and director of Comedy Ink Productions together with actor/writer Douglas McFerran (born May 1958) he has produced and acted as a lead in short comedic offerings such as the mini-series Brilliant! (2007) and short film Sherlock Holmes Confidential (2013). The latest release of his company is his solo short film Acter (2020). Two horror shorts produced together with Douglas McFerran are still in post-production.
Ivan Kaye has a reputation for being especially kind and appreciative towards his fans on social media and in person. He is a supporter of the Hounslow Urban Farm (where 'Green Green Grass' was partially filmed) and, with several other actors, the Justice for Andrew campaign, seeking justice for the murder of a young Liverpudlian.
He has two adult daughters and lives in London.- Ann Skelly was born in Wexford, Ireland. She is an actress, known for The Nevers (2021), Death and Nightingales (2018) and Rose Plays Julie (2019).

Greg Orvis was raised on a barrier island, in a small beach town about 20 miles south of Cape Kennedy, Florida by his maternal Grandparents, Pauline and Schuyler "Sky" Orvis Jr. It was they who instilled in him his sense of integrity, and originality, with their primary directive being "Don't just do what everyone else is doing just because everyone else is doing it; do what you know is right." Orvis' grandfather had distinguished himself by crossing the Atlantic at his own expense to volunteer for the French army in 1939, two years before the U.S. joined the Second World War, returning home a local hero, and consequently was elected to the Connecticut State legislature, although he didn't run for office; local residents penciled him in on the ballot.
At the age of eight, trusting Orvis' self-taught swimming ability, his grandparents permitted him to go alone to the lifeguard-less beach and swim in the ocean whenever he pleased, which was often; this in the county with the largest waves in the entire state of Forida, and the second largest waves on the entire east-coast of the USA.
Growing up with grandparents could have been idyllic had Orvis' grandfather not been slowly dying from cigarette-related illnesses, but seeing first-hand from his youth the horror his grandfather's addiction caused resolved Orvis to make health a primary focus of his life.
While living in Miami beach where he surfed, practiced Yoga daily and swam about 230 miles a year alone in the ocean in practically any conditions, Oliver Stone discovered Orvis' talents and cast him as a day-player with an unscripted role in his football epic, Any Given Sunday (1999). Though Stone initially hired Orvis for only 4 days, he was so satisfied with his work ethic that he kept him on set for the duration of principal filming--4 months--allowing him to ad lib in scenes with Al Pacino and Jamie Foxx and execute an advanced Yoga scene.
Oliver Stone, was so satisfied with the novice actor that he cast him again in an unscripted role in Alexander (2004) and he became one of only three American actors on the film's "all-European cast"; this time working with Féodor Atkine, Erol Sander and Colin Farrell, with whom he he'd an unscripted speaking scene.
Orvis took his cue to move to Switzerland shortly after the Iraq war because he'd always wanted to live in a land without war, and because he wanted to get in touch with his Swiss roots; his paternal Grandfather, with whom he wasn't well acquainted, was Swiss.
In 2007 Peter Coyote, grateful for Orvis' efforts to get his memoir "Sleeping Where I Fall"--the definitive chronicle of the American 60's counterculture--published in European languages, referred him to his first theatrical agency, in London. (He'd wanted a German friend to be able to read his favorite non-fiction and because she didn't speak English he tried to get it published in German). But after he turned down the role of 'Ronald Niedermann' in Stieg Larsson's The Girl Who Played with Fire (2009) and The Girl Who Kicked the Hornet's Nest (2009), his London agent dropped him--even though he'd procured the casting for himself without assistance from his agent and, refusing to do the job "under the table", showed good faith by referring his agency to the client once he was under consideration.
In 2012 he performed in his first lead-supporting role, in the ZDF (German Public Television) TV-movie Schlangen im Paradies (2013) ("Snakes In Paradise"), playing a villain in a cast of some of the biggest names in German television. Its ironic that Orvis' lead-supporting debut is in a German movie, performing in German, because when he moved to Switzerland, he didn't speak the language. But he brought the goods and went above and beyond by scripting a surfing scene--because he convinced the director that, because his character owns a surf-shop and the action takes place in Cornwall, the English capital of surfing, surfing visuals would increase the production value.
2012 was also a monumental year for Orvis because he realized his longtime goal to read all 37 William Shakespeare plays in original (Old-English) dialect.- Actor

Andre Eriksen's George Santos Resume
Andre Eriksen's monologue "why?" performed at Royal Albert Hall in 1985 is said to have brought Soviet Leader Mikhail Gorbachev to tears and inspired the initiation of the peace talks that ended the cold war. In the early 90s, Andre developed a unique way to communicate with animals through sound and motion performance. He traveled with the Uzbek theatre company "Ichki Olov" for four years in the Amazon jungle where they lived off the earth and performed the play "AhkAh HA babaklah" for a large group of black spider monkeys and a giant river otter. Video recordings of these plays now serve as the backbone of interspecies communication studies around the world. The theatre company dissolved in '94, and Andre isolated himself in the Himalayas for years. Here he practiced Buddhism and wrote the masterpiece "Reflections of a wounded teardrop" The mysterious short film was never publicly released, and its contents remains unseen. Eriksen stars and directs himself in the film that features none other than the Dalai Lama himself as the evil antagonist "Hon Eps Egel" who is trying to lure Eriksen's character to buy an overpriced 1991 Toyota Corolla and steals his sleeping bag during a 24-hour trip to Copenhagen.
As an activist Andre ran with the bulls in Pamplona. The bulls took him in as one of their own and during the event Andre rammed and injured several participants in the name of his herd.
"Accipit ingenium ad cognoscendum ingenium." The quote was forged by pope John Paul the second and translates: It takes a genius to know a genius. The expression came to life when the Vatican was looking for someone to restore Michelangelo's work in the Sistine Chapel, a task deemed impossible. Eriksen was commissioned and chose to use crayons for the task. "You must understand the chemical complexity of your tools", said Eriksen while applying his advanced technique of rubbing any substance between his thumb and long finger while squinting with a distant stare. The technique proved itself to be accurate and the result of the restoration is considered perfect and expected to last forever.
Early Days As a child Andre was raised deep in the jungle by wolves with the assistance of a clumsy bear and an empathetic panther. When a mean tiger gets it in for him, they all decide it's time for Andre to find his way back to the humans. In the 80s, Andre was a drifter and made his way to the outskirts of a small town called Hope, Washington. Here he was arrested by a sadistic Police officer, subjecting him to the same kind of torture he suffered as a prisoner of war in Vietnam. Andre escapes to the woods on a motorcycle. He loses control and his violent rage triggers a huge deadly manhunt. During this incident Andre had long hair and he would wear a red band around his forehead to keep hair out of his face. If you wish to work with Andre, please write any inquiries on a large piece of paper and set it on fire. If interested, Andre will find you.
