Composer, violinist and educator, educated at first by his father and then the Imperial School at St. Petersburg with Auer. He made his violin debut at Berlin in 1907, followed by a tour of Europe. His American debut was with the Boston Symphony in 1911. Thereafter, he joined the faculty at the Curtis Institute in 1929 and became a director there in 1941. Conflicting sources give his date of birth as April 9th or April 21st, but because he was born in Russia prior to the 1917 Revolution, both dates can be considered as correct; one date is in the Old Style Calendar (pre-1917) while the other is within the New Style Calendar adopted with the revolution in 1917. His first wife was famed soprano Alma Gluck, one of the first sopranos to make best-selling recordings. He was the half-brother of author Marcia Davenport, the grandfather of Stephanie Zimbalist, and the father of Efrem Zimbalist Jr..- Actor

Tall, portly built German born actor (and talented violinist) who notched up over 100 film appearances, predominantly in German-language productions. He will forever be remembered by Western audiences as the bombastic megalomaniac "Auric Goldfinger" trying to kill Sean Connery and irradiate the vast US gold reserves within Fort Knox in the spectacular "James Bond" film Goldfinger (1964). However, due to Fröbe's thick German accent, his voice was actually dubbed by English actor, Michael Collins.
While commonly perceived as cold hearted & humourless from his Goldfinger (1964) portrayal, quite to the contrary, Fröbe was a jovial man and a wonderful comedic performer. His light hearted talents can be best viewed in The Ballad of Berlin (1948), Der Tag vor der Hochzeit (1952), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (1968), and Those Magnificent Men in Their Flying Machines or How I Flew from London to Paris in 25 Hours 11 Minutes (1965). Fröbe also portrayed dogged detective Kriminalkommissar Kras/Lohmann pursuing the evil Dr. Mabuse in The 1,000 Eyes of Dr. Mabuse (1960), The Return of Dr. Mabuse (1961) and The Terror of Doctor Mabuse (1962).- Talent Agent

Gerik Leron Gooch is passionate about filmmaking and the arts. Born on June 24, 1978, in Wilmington, Delaware, he became a leader in both vocal and instrumental music at school. As an actor, he received standing ovations for his performances on stage in several plays, including Guys and Dolls, Anything Goes, Into the Woods, and Rebel Without a Cause. His voice acting was featured prominently in a regional radio commercial for DART (Delaware Authority for Regional Transit) and he also appeared as a print model for Blue Cross Blue Shield. He always enjoyed movies and began making his own video projects for classes at Concord High School, shooting on the analog video formats of the time and editing in camera. But it wasn't until the advent of digital video that he would truly become a cinephile. He began researching cinema, learning about the great directors & films of the past and present, while building a large DVD collection for his home theater. Seeing the wealth of behind-the-scenes material available on DVD, he was inspired to learn even more and become a part of the industry he had come to admire. He decided to formally study Filmmaking at University of North Carolina School of the Arts where he went on to direct the award-winning short films Fragile (2011), Model Airplane (2011), and Trustworthy (2013). His continuing desire is to creatively tell stories in a variety of forms and genres.- Actor

Tug Coker is known for Now We're Talking (2016) and The Office (2005).- Sekou Laidlow's artistry is a fusion of craft, creativity, and commitment. Known for bringing nuance, depth, and specificity to character portrayals, this son of Baltimore is driven by the power of storytelling to transform. He is particularly drawn to roles that call for a conflicted emotional journey and characters who overcome extraordinary odds.
Laidlow guest stars as Bobby Purcell in The Resident on FOX on November 8th, 2022. His craftsmanship can also be seen in his recurring guest star role as Leon Payne in the NBC TV Series Ordinary Joe opposite James Wolk and Charlie Barnett (Eric Payne). He is a recurring guest star in the upcoming ABC mini-series, Women of the Movement as Crosby Smith, the uncle of Emmett Till, opposite Glynn Turman. He plays Harrison Carter in the BET+ episodic Kingdom Business and will appear in Black Adam, a Warner Brothers feature starring Dwayne "the Rock" Johnson; both 2022 releases.
Laidlow appeared in the romantic comedy, Better Off Single, starring Aaron Tveit, and was supporting lead actor in The Mend opposite Josh Lucas and Austin Pendleton. His Juilliard classmate, Michael Urie, sought him out to direct him in the comedic web series, What's Your Emergency?
On Broadway, Sekou has been directed by two-time Tony Award winner Joe Montello in Airline Highway and again for the smash hit, Boys in the Band. One of Sekou's great joys was to originate the role of Homer in Suzan Lori Parks' epic, Father Comes Home from the Wars, which won both the Pulitzer Prize and the Kennedy Prize for Drama.
Even at Juilliard, Laidlow was a standout. He was the first student ever to be asked to render a monologue for the School's commencement ceremony -- performing in front of virtuosos James Earl Jones, South African playwright Athol Fugard and songstress Nancy Wilson -- all honorary degree recipients that year.
When not on the stage or on the screen, Laidlow empowers others to share their stories. Through his self-produced podcast, Let Me Introduce Myself, in an intimate, one-on-one- format, Laidlow and co-host Maxime Paul challenge the myths of Black manhood. Sekou creates a welcoming environment for men to share everything from their healing journeys to their wildest dreams. Laidlow serves proudly on the Board of Directors of Beautiful Ventures, a creative start-up focused on narrative change and social entrepreneurship. Michael Philip Jagger was born in Dartford, Kent on 26th July 1943. When he was 4 he met Keith Richards until they went into secondary schools and lost touch. But one day in 1960 they accidentally met on the Dartford train line and both realized that they had an interest in rock n roll combined with blues. Between 1960 and 1962 The Rolling Stones formed. It was comprised of Mick on lead vocal and harmonica, Keith Richards on guitar, Bill Wyman on bass, Charlie Watts on drums and Brian Jones on guitar.
In 1964 they released their first album "The Rolling Stones". Eventually in 1965 they had their first number 1 hit in the UK with "The Last Time" which was followed by "I can't get no Satisfaction". Throughout 1966-1969 they toured the world with many great hits like "Let's Spend the night together" (1967) and "Sympathy for the Devil" (1968). But in 1969 Brian Jones committed suicide and Mick and Keith Richards were blamed for his death. But this fusion blew over and they got another guitarist to replace Brian in Mick Taylor. They released the album "Let it Bleed" (1969) with the track "Honky Tonk Woman". After they completed a North American tour Jagger finally went to star in Performance (1970) as the retired rock star Turner. The film was released in August 1970 with Mick starring opposite James Fox and Mick even had his first solo hit which was the soundtrack to the film "Memo from Turner".
In 1971 The Rolling Stones came back with the album "Sticky Fingers" which would be the most popular album they ever made. From this album there were songs like "Wild Horses" and "Brown Sugar" and were major hits all over the world. While this was happening Bianca Jagger gave birth to Jaggers daughter Jade Jagger. Throughout the 70s The Rolling Stones made thousands of live performances and achieved endless record sales with hits like "Angie" (1973), "It's Only Rock and Roll" (1974), "Hot Stuff" (1976) and "Respectable" (1978). In 1974 Ronnie Wood had replaced Mick Taylor on guitar and Keith Richards and Ronnie Wood both played lead guitar. In 1980 Jagger divorced Bianca Jagger and went on to record and release "Emotional Rescue" with The Rolling Stones and it was a platinum album. In 1981 "Tattoo You" was released and the group went on a major world tour, their first in three years, which filled stadiums in the US and arenas in Europe. After the tour ended in 1982 Jagger was starting to like other music. In 1983 The Rolling Stones recorded the album "Undercover" at the Compass Point in Nassau. But recording sessions didn't go well as during this time Mick and Keith Richard were having arguments about the kind of music the group should be playing. Even though the album was a success it seemed like The Rolling Stones were now going over the edge.
In May 1984 Mick recorded "State of Shock" with The Jacksons which led Mick wanting to try out a solo career. So in September he recorded his first solo album with guests like Pete Townshend and Jeff Beck. Shortly before the album was released The Rolling Stones decided to record their first album under a new Sony records contract. Keith Richards didn't approve of the solo efforts - he wanted Mick to stick to The Rolling Stones. In July 1985 Jagger made his first solo live appearance at the Live Aid benefit concert in Philadelphia. The Rolling Stones were going to perform but decided not to as things weren't going well for them at the time. During 1986 Mick worked on his second solo album "Primitive Cool" which he hoped would be a success but this was not to be. However, his 1988 tour proved to be a success, selling out in Japan.
But Mick accepted the fact that the only way to carry on with success was to get back with The Rolling Stones so in January 1989 he and Keith Richards reformed and they wrote songs for what was to be the "Steel Wheels" album. After the album was released The Rolling Stones went on a major worldwide tour with special concerts at London's Wembley Stadium. Sadly though in 1992 bassist of The Rolling Stones Bill Wyman announced his departure from the group which was to be the following year. Even though The Rolling Stones were upset to see him leave they accepted the fact that he'd been in there too long and they had to let go. Jagger released some more solo material during this time but it wasn't such a success. In 1994 The Rolling Stones released the album "Voodoo Lounge" and they went back on tour. The first The Rolling Stones project without Bill Wyman. The tour was the biggest tour in rock history raising over 300 million. As this tour was a success they returned yet again in 1997 with the "Bridges to Babylon" album and tour which lasted for two years which was combined with the "No Security" live album and tour. After the tour was finished Jagger's marriage was on the line as he had another child from a secret love affair. Soon after this was found out the marriage between him and Jerry Hall had ended. Since then Jagger's been a film producer and a solo artist. He has produced the film Enigma (2001) and has recorded his 2001 album "Goddess in the Doorway" - another commercial flop. But never fear because just recently the Stones announced a 40th Anniversary tour and that it will start in September, 2002.- Composer

Wynton Marsalis is widely recognized as the pre-eminent jazz artist of our time. He is hailed not only as a performer on the trumpet, but also as a music educator and a promoter of the history and culture of jazz. Marsalis is also an established artist in performing trumpet in works of classical music, and he is a leader in civic matters.
Wynton Marsalis was born into a musical family in the city of New Orleans, the birthplace of jazz. Marsalis's father was a pianist and music teacher. Some of Wynton's brothers have become notable musicians in their own right, specifically Branford Marsalis on saxophone, Delfeayo Marsalis on trombone, and Jason Marsalis on drums. Wynton was a precocious student of music in his youth. He eventually attended the Juilliard School. Later he joined the band of the renowned jazz artist Art Blakey.
Marsalis spent ten years touring continuously with his band. He has virtually single-handedly revived the public's interest in jazz, which to many had become a lost art form. In addition to performing, Marsalis also focuses strongly on education by giving lectures and workshops to students on musicianship.
Wynton Marsalis created the PBS TV series Marsalis on Music (1995), as well as the National Public Radio 26-week series "Making the Music" in that same year. Marsalis played a major role in developing Ken Burns's TV mini-series Jazz (2001). These efforts played a significant role in helping to bring jazz forward in the public's mind.
Marsalis has been criticized by some for discounting the value of jazz forms that have emerged after 1965. Marsalis has countered by stating that attempts at a musical fusion of jazz with other pop forms yields a mixture of sounds that are simply not true jazz.
Wynton Marsalis has made major efforts to help revive and restore his home city of New Orleans following the disaster of hurricane Katrina, including organizing the benefit concert "Higher Ground" at Lincoln Center in New York City. Marsalis has promoted human rights for the people of Burma and their imprisoned leader Aung San Suu Kyi. The Secretary-General of the United Nations has declared Marsalis to be a U.N. Messenger of Peace.
Marsalis has won numerous awards including nine Grammys, two of them for his recordings of classical works for trumpet by Haydn, Mozart and Handel. He is the first jazz artist to win a Pulitzer Prize, given for composing his oratorio "Blood on the Fields". Wynton Marsalis now serves as the Artistic Director of Jazz at Lincoln Center's Rose Hall in New York City.- Actress

In his early career as the 4-year-old "World's Youngest Ordained Minister," Pentecostal preacher Hugh Marjoe Ross Gortner became a 'Miracle Child' extraordinaire. Born in Long Beach, California, the young tyke, who ministered the gospel from memory and performed faith healings, drew capacity crowds as he barnstormed throughout the Bible Belt. The son of Vernon Robert Gortner, an evangelical minister who preached at revivals, it was his mother Marge who pushed and introduced Marjoe to the world as a boy preacher, and it the primary reason for his success. At age 16, however, Marjoe grew acutely disillusioned with what he considered a horrible deception, eventually withdrawing from the scene.
Unbeknownst to his father and other ministers, Marjoe agreed to let a film crew follow him throughout his final 1971 national tour of revival meetings before leaving "the business." The fascinating Oscar-winning documentary Marjoe (1972) that resulted, based on his life as a fake evangelist, introduced the public to a new and profoundly hypnotic performer. Prior to filming the documentary, Marjoe displayed his musical talents. As prolific musician, he could play the drums, saxophone, organ, guitar, accordion and piano and performed with a Los Angeles rock band. On the strength of the documentary's critical success, he managed to record a 1973 solo album for RCA, "Bad, But Not Evil." Feeling a strong compulsion to act, Marjoe's talents for drawing an audience and public speaking were quickly put to use. Handed potent roles in the TV projects The Marcus-Nelson Murders (1973) and The Gun and the Pulpit (1974), roles that capitalized on his magnetism and off-center flamboyance, the extremely positive reviews he received helped catapult him into 1970's films.
Unfortunately, most of Marjoe's cinematic efforts went on to earn harsh critical reviews. Following a featured psychotic role in the all-star disaster film Earthquake (1974), Marjoe went on to star in a few wild-eyed roles -- as a Billy the Kid type outlaw in the romantic crime drama Bobbie Jo and the Outlaw (1976), a man framed as a drug smuggler in the action crime film Acapulco Gold (1976), a hunter being attacked by giant killer wasps in the horror opus The Food of the Gods (1976), a cocky cowboy in the motorcycle action film Viva Knievel! (1977), a robot-battling intergalactic outlaw in the space action flick Starcrash (1978) and a vicious, hostage-taking drug dealer in the drama When You Comin' Back, Red Ryder? (1979). Because of such poor box office receipts for these film, Marjoe's quest for top film stardom never materialized.
The tall (6'2"), tousle-haired Marjoe did thrive, however, as an offbeat guest on a number of popular TV shows, including "Barnaby Jones," "Nakia," "Medical Center," "Police Story," "Fantasy Island," "The A-Team," "Matt Houston," "Airwolf" and "T.J. Hooker." During the 1986-1987 season, Marjoe had the somewhat close-to-home role of Vince Karlotti, a villainous charlatan who posed as a psychic medium in the nighttime soap opera series Falcon Crest (1981).
Marjoe stumbled through some more films in the 80s, but even with his undeniable charm and charisma, he couldn't rise above the poor material offered in such movies as Mausoleum (1983), Jungle Warriors (1984), Hellhole (1985), The Survivalist (1987), American Ninja 3: Blood Hunt (1989) and Feuer, Eis & Dynamit (1990). He ended his career in the featured role of a preacher in the biography of Wild Bill Hickock entitled Wild Bill (1995) starring Jeff Bridges.
Before retiring in 2010, the man who blew the whistle on evangelism produced Celebrity Sports Invitational charity golf tournaments and ski events for charitable purposes. Briefly married (1978-1979) to second wife Candy Clark, his co-star in When You Comin' Back, Red Ryder? (1979), Marjoe waited four decades before attempting to marry again in 2019, this time to set decorator Susan Magestro.- Music Artist
