- DirectorS. MahendarStarsSudeepPoonam SingarGurukiranDeva secretly loves his twin brother's wife Priya. He tries everything to separate the two and goes to the extent of killing his twin brother.“Vaali” is an important film in Sudeep’s career, where he shines in double role playing the characters of Deva, who is deaf and mute and his younger brother Shiva, showing the audience about his acting capabilities.
The film was remade from the 1999 Tamil film of the same name, hence the script does not change, and it is very good. The film excels in narration and storytelling which would keep the audience engaged. The flow of events are continious illustrating the excellent screenplay.
However, the film does have its own share of negatives like the songs are directly copied from the original Tamil version due to which there is no originality, which has dampened the musical appeal of the film. Additionally, the background scrore by Rajesh Ramanath fails to create any impact among the audience as it its pretty poor, and the dialogues are mediocre in comparison to the film’s other strengths.
Sudeep’s exceptional performance along with compelling narrative and strong screenplay, elavates the film. Despite its flaws in music and dialogues, it’s a good watch for any Kannada film enthusiast.

Verdict: Good - DirectorAnup BhandariStarsSudeepNirup BhandariNeetha AshokAlmost half a century ago, a remote village in the middle of a tropical rainforest starts witnessing a series of unexplainable events which they attribute to the supernatural."Vikrant Rona" disappoints on multiple fronts, offering a lackluster narrative that feels like a rehashed version of Anup Bhandari's first film, "Rangitaranga" Despite Sudeep's efforts, the film suffers from subpar acting and weak dialogues by the supporting cast. Bhandari's direction lacks grip, resulting in a screenplay that fails to engage the audience effectively.
The storytelling, narration, and songs all fall flat, leaving the audience to long for depth in the film. Even the background score by Ajaneesh Lokanath fails to revive the film, in fact it is ridiculous making it tiring for the audience.
One of the film's most significant weakness lies in its character development which is irritating and poorly executed. Sudeep's character, feels underdeveloped, which will raise questions about the necessity of a star of his caliber in this film.
"Vikrant Rona" is a missed oppurtunity, and its flaws overshadow any qualities it might possess. The audience will wonder about the purpose of its creation. Unless you are an unwavering Sudeep fan, this film offers nothing for you to watch.
