Anime I have watched
I started becoming a fan of anime back in early 2019, but the only anime I watched before becoming a bigger fan of it was Pokémon, specifically Sun & Moon. Anyway, since many before me have made their lists of anime that they have watched, here's MY list of anime that I have watched.

- StarsTesshô GendaNoriko OharaKazuyuki SogabeA demonic race from a planet 14,000 lightyears away called Boazan (Bozania in the Philippine dub) headed by Prince Heinel (Zardos in the Philippine dub) arrived on Earth to start an invasion to fulfill their emperor's ambition of universal conquest. Standing on their way is a group of heroic warriors piloting a a giant ultra-magnetic robot called Voltes V. It was a long and bitter struggle that took the heroes from Earth to Boazan.I first heard of this anime, because my parents—both of whom are Filipino—used to watch it when they were kids; and I watched the first episode at my cousin's house. Who would've thought that this was a pop culture phenomenon in the Philippines? Interest in this show peaked for me when I found out in my teenage years that Voltes V didn't just have a fanbase in the Philippines, but the titular robot itself was a mascot of rebellion in the wake of the dictatorship of Filipino despot Ferdinand Marcos, back in the 1980s. And my interest in the series grew even more when I heard of its 2023 live-action adaptation, "Voltes V: Legacy". Thanks to this anime, its theme song, and the version used in "Voltes V: Legacy", now live rent-free in my head.

JacksonPhil LaMarrYuri LowenthalA Black samurai goes on a mission to avenge the wrongful death of his father in a futuristic feudal Japan. My first time learning about Afro Samurai was back in 2018, when I watched an episode of "Death Battle" where Samurai Jack's opponent would be the titular protagonist from this anime. And my interest in this series peaked when I found out that Samuel L. Jackson, one of the highest grossing actors in all of Hollywood, lent his voice to both him and Ninja Ninja. Ron Perlman as Justice is no slouch, either. At the same time, I was brainstorming a potential fighting game, and Afro himself was one of the many guest characters I had in mind (Said fighting game (my first top secret project) being a weapon-based fighting game with mythical creatures as its cast). I always get this anime involved whenever it's Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
- DirectorFuminori KizakiStarsSamuel L. JacksonLucy LiuMark HamillWhen his father's body is stolen from its grave, Afro takes up his sword again to tear through an army of deadly foes led by a sadistic leader.Continuing from above, it amazes me that Afro Samurai is one of the few anime that has a handful of celebrities in its voice cast. It's surprising that Lucy Liu, who voices Viper from Kung Fu Panda, would voice Sio, who is the sister of Jinno, a character voiced by Yuri Lowenthal, who's known for voicing Sasuke Uchiha from Naruto. Not just that, Kotaro's voice actor is Zachary Gordon, who many people will recognize today as Tighnari from Genshin Impact. I am a bit miffed that the fanbase for this anime is mostly dormant, and I really wish we got more of this franchise…
- StarsDavid VincentMatthew MercerDaisuke OnoThe story of the Joestar family, who are possessed with intense psychic strength, and the adventures each member encounters throughout their lives. This is sole series that made me an anime fan. Like many JoJo fans out there, I started quoting it, watching memes of it, and listened to many songs that the series' Stands got their names from. The English dub is probably one of the best things to come out of this series, thanks to its all-star cast of actors. My favorite dubs would definitely have to be the ones from "Diamond is Unbreakable" and "Golden Wind". The latter's dub was what made me aspire to become a casting director. For the former, I adored Billy Kametz's portrayal of Josuke, and—like many dub fans—was beyond heartbroken and devastated to hear of his tragic death. The characters, soundtrack, and voice cast for this anime will always have a special place in my heart. Still need to watch Stone Ocean, though.
- StarsChikahiro KobayashiJonah ScottLara Jill MillerIn a world of anthropomorphic animals, a reclusive wolf's complicated relationship with a kindly rabbit is tested by a classmate's murder, a charismatic deer's influence, and his own burgeoning predatory instincts.I first caught wind of this anime when I heard comparisons between this and Zootopia, stating that it's "Zootopia but darker". I saw clips of the show and its English dub, gave the show a try, and I loved it. This was Jonah Scott's big breakout role in voice acting, since the first time I heard of him was in "JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind". Plus, who would've thought that Lara Jill Miller, who I first heard as Lambie from Doc McStuffins, would lend her talent to a mature series like this? I still need to get caught up on season 2 and the upcoming final season.
- StarsMichael CeraMary Elizabeth WinsteadSatya BhabhaScott Pilgrim meets the girl of his dreams, Ramona Flowers, only to find out her seven evil exes stand in the way of their love.I first heard of "Scott Pilgrim vs. the World" and its source material, even before I heard of this anime, but never really gotten into it. That was until I heard news about not just the show coming to fruition, but the fact that, one: it's a fully-fledged anime; and two: ninety-nine percent of the original actors from the film—such as Michael Cera, Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and Chris Evans—would be reprising their roles in the English dub. I got to watch it, and I had amazing things to say about this show. Although it's said that there aren't any plans to make a second season, despite the fact that they'll consider it, I really hope the story continues.
- CreatorKazuki NakashimaStarsSumire MorohoshiYoshimasa HosoyaGara TakashimaMorphed into a raccoon beastman, Michiru seeks refuge, and answers, with the aid of wolf beastman Shirou inside the special zone of Anima-City.I first heard of this anime thanks to looking at fan-art of its three main characters: Michiru Kagemori, Shirou Ogami, and Nazuna Hiwatashi. While slow at first, I still found this show to be quite endearing. The performances of Cherami Leigh as Michiru, Ben Diskin as Shirou, and Xanthe Huynh as Nazuna really help me hold this show in high regard. Michiru is even one of a handful of guest characters I have for brainstorming a fighting game (Said fighting game (my sixth top secret project) being one based on anthropomorphic animals).
- StarsMichael SinterniklaasNeil KaplanAdam SietzAn anthology of animated shorts from around the world celebrating the mythology of Star Wars through unique cultural perspectives.I mostly thought that a Star Wars anime would be impossible… until this show came into existence. I heard a lot of amazing things about its first and second seasons, despite the fact that the second season is mostly based on animation studios from other countries, not just Japan. I stopped being a Star Wars fan back when "The Rise of Skywalker" got a lot of flak, but I knew I had to watch this eventually due to the praise it got. To celebrate Star Wars Day 2024, I watched the first season and loved how each episode was animated by a different studio, had their own stories (albeit non-canon), and how their main characters were voiced by big-name celebrities. My favorite episode of the first season was the first one due to the lightsaber duel between the Ronin and the Sith Bandit Leader. And my favorite main protagonist is Lop, from the eighth episode; mainly for both Anna Cathcart's emotional voice performance and the fact that she's an adorable bunny girl (I'M NOT A FURRY I SWEAR). While I'm not a big Star Wars fan nowadays, I look forward to what a potential third season has in store.
