- CreatorMichael WaldronStarsTom HiddlestonOwen WilsonSophia Di MartinoThe mercurial villain Loki resumes his role as the God of Mischief in a new series that takes place after the events of “Avengers: Endgame.”Series Overall ★ 8.7 ★
Like 'WandaVision', 'Loki's stylish and daring plot drives the MCU courageously forward into the unknown, fabulously developing its previously fringe characters along the way.
Season 1: ★★★★★
Best Episode: "Far All Time. Always" (S1, E6) - DirectorKate HerronStarsTom HiddlestonOwen WilsonGugu Mbatha-RawLoki, the God of Mischief, finds himself out of time and in an unusual place and forced - against his godly disposition - to cooperate with others.8.9
A fantastic start that covers so much ground for where this series, and indeed the entire MCU, is headed. We experience this episode in much the same way as our titular anti-hero - thrown in at the deep end with an authority we didn't know existed, trying all the while to comprehend just how real it all is. Love or hate their apparent belittling of the Infinity War as something that was 'meant to happen' - I'm a little split - there is no doubt that Marvel, like with 'WandaVision', are continuing to break the mould, and shock audiences with their courageous direction for this next phase of the MCU. - DirectorKate HerronStarsTom HiddlestonSophia Di MartinoOwen WilsonMobius puts Loki to work, but not everyone at TVA is thrilled about the God of Mischief's presence.9.0
An even better follow up to the premiere that takes the MCU deeper into the TVA rabbit hole. The bromance developing fluently between Loki and Mobius is a joy to watch, as is the series ability to bring a gleeful stupidity to the premise. Excited for the next! - DirectorKate HerronStarsTom HiddlestonSophia Di MartinoGugu Mbatha-RawLoki finds out The Variant's plan, but he has his own that will forever alter both their destinies.8.5
A slower episode that detours from the main plot line to instead focus on providing some depth to the introduction of Lady Loki. I'm still unconvinced on her as a character - I think the mystery was more intriguing than the reveal - but I have confidence in the MCU to pull it off. Where they go from here is unpredictable - setting it up nicely for next week. - DirectorKate HerronStarsTom HiddlestonSophia Di MartinoOwen WilsonFrayed nerves and paranoia infiltrate the TVA as Mobius and Hunter B-15 search for Loki and Sylvie.9.3
Thank Feige those timekeepers weren't the real deal. For a moment I felt so let down, before becoming so elated at the thickening of the plot. In a similarly fearless fashion to 'WandaVision', 'Loki' is driving the MCU forward in a courageous direction that will shock you out of your seat. It's gripping stuff, which has in a super short time elevated Sylvie and endeared us to her. I can't wait to see where its headed next. - DirectorKate HerronStarsTom HiddlestonSophia Di MartinoOwen WilsonLoki tries to escape The Void, a desolate purgatory where he meets variant versions of himself.9.2
An enticing penultimate hour that gorgeously sets up the series final reveals. Richard E. Grant's take on the character was insightful and enthralling to watch. Not many series could make a smoke monster (shout out 'Lost') seem like a genuine threat. Bring on the finale! - DirectorKate HerronStarsTom HiddlestonSophia Di MartinoOwen WilsonThe clock is ticking in the season finale which finds Loki and Sylvie on a date with destiny.9.4
A MCU altering finale that showcases the domino effect on the most magnificent of scales. It does not dissapoint. - DirectorBrad BaruhStarsTom HiddlestonStephen BroussardKevin R.
