One Life to Live

Renee Goldsberry was born in San Jose, California, and raised in both Houston, Texas, and Detroit, Michigan. She graduated from Carnegie-Mellon University with a bachelors degree in acting, and went on to attend graduate school at the University of Southern California, where she received her masters in vocal jazz performance.

She has worked in numerous Broadway plays, including a production of Disney's "The Lion King" in 2003 (as "Nala"). She also appears in the daytime drama One Life to Live (1968) as the determined lawyer Evangeline Williamson.

Tuc Watkins was born on 2 September 1966 in Kansas City, Missouri, USA. He is an actor and producer, known for The Mummy (1999), One Life to Live (1968) and The Good Shepherd (2006).

Ilene Kristen was born on 30 July 1952 in Brooklyn, New York, USA. She is an actress and producer, known for One Life to Live (1968), Ryan's Hope (1975) and Desperately Seeking Susan (1985).

Erika Slezak was born on 5 August 1946 in Hollywood, California, USA. She is an actress, known for One Life to Live (1968), One Life to Live (2013) and Next Stop, Christmas (2021). She has been married to Brian Davies since 4 August 1978. They have two children. She was previously married to R. Daniel Mooney.

Sherri Saum was born on 1 October 1974 in Dayton, Ohio, USA. She is an actress and director, known for Sunset Beach (1997), Law & Order: Criminal Intent (2001) and Finding Home (2003).

Thorsten moved to the US in 1985 on a track (decathlon) scholarship to the United States International University in San Diego. Although Thorsten majored in physical education (and minored in drama), a serious motorcycle accident forced him to choose a different direction. He played soccer for a while, but ultimately changed his major to drama and received his Bachelor's Degree in fine arts. After a rugby tour through Europe, Kaye enrolled in graduate school at Wayne State University in Detroit, where he earned his master's degree in theater and theater history.

Although he fondly remembers his first professional role as that of the "Wicked Witch of the West" when he was 17 years old in England, Thorsten portrayed some of the most memorable characters in classical theater, from Macbeth to Mark Antony, while a member of the Hilberry Repertory Theatre Company in Detroit. Thorsten then moved to Los Angeles, where he garnered roles in various television projects, including the CBS mini-series: Sidney Sheldon's "Nothing Lasts Forever", before moving to New York to accept the role of Professer Patrick Thornhart on the ABC-TV daytime drama "One Life to Live."

After leaving "One life to Live," Thorsten starred in the 2000 film "Shark Attack 2." Later in 2000, Thorsten returned to daytime television as Dr. Ian Thornhart (Patrick's older brother) on the ABC-TV drama "Port Charles." In 2004, he accepted the role of the mysterious Zach Slater on ABC-TV's "All My Children."

Thorsten is the author of two books: "From Timber Ridge to Daymer Gardens: A Journey in Words," co-written with the late Dorothy Bridges, and "A Solid Wheel of Colored Ribbons," a book of children's poems with illustrations by Tami Evans Foster (to be published in the spring of 2009).

When not working, Thorsten enjoys music, literature, riding American motorcycles, hockey (following the Detroit Red Wings), and football (he is a Miami Dolphins fan).

Susan Haskell was born on 10 June 1968 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. She is an actress, known for One Life to Live (1968), The Good Shepherd (2006) and JAG (1995). She is married to Thorsten Kaye. They have two children.

Melissa Fumero is an American actress. From the age of ten, she aspired to become an actress and attended New York University, from which she received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Drama. She made her professional debut in 2004, recurring as Adriana Cramer in the soap opera One Life to Live. Following several minor roles, Fumero had her first main role in the Fox (later NBC) comedy series Brooklyn Nine-Nine as Amy Santiago, a role she played from 2013 to 2021. Since this breakthrough, Fumero has voiced Melissa Tarleton in the critically acclaimed animated series M.O.D.O.K. (2021) and is set to star in Netflix's upcoming series Blockbuster. She is married to actor and former model David Fumero, with whom she has two sons.

Kassie Wesley DePaiva was born on 21 March 1961 in Morganfield, Kentucky, USA. She is an actress and producer, known for One Life to Live (1968), Evil Dead II (1987) and General Hospital (1963). She has been married to James DePaiva since 31 May 1996. They have one child. She was previously married to Richard C. Hankins.

Roger Howarth was born on 13 September 1968 in Westchester County, New York, USA. He is an actor, known for General Hospital (1963), The Flash (2014) and One Life to Live (1968). He has been married to Cari Stahler since 1992. They have two children.

Born in Inglewood, California, Michael was raised and educated in both the US and Ireland - the homeland of his parents - and double majored in English and History at UCLA. He traveled through Europe, parts of Africa and India, supporting himself as a bartender and in various construction jobs. All the while he photographed, wrote, and chronicled his experiences. It was probably the best education anyone could have had - and almost certainly influenced his work later as an actor and award-winning writer-director.

His first major series role was on "Days of Our Lives"; he got the part of Tanner Scofield when he was 25, and this began a long relationship with Daytime. Michael was also named one of People's "50 Most Beautiful", appeared in several primetime television movies, and things began to click for his career as an actor. But he put everything on hold when his mother was diagnosed with ovarian cancer two years later in 1993, and returned to Los Angeles to care for her until her death in 1994.

Michael returned to acting with Fox's VR-5 as Duncan, and followed up with an intriguing turn as identical twin brothers in legendary showrunner Stephen J. Cannell's "Two", for which he wrote the episodes "AD" and the series finale, "The Reckoning". His appearance on the iconic series "Ally McBeal", as nude model Glen, was almost as memorable as the Dancing Baby. The episode went on to win an Emmy, and Michael continued to play the role on both "Ally McBeal" and sister show, "The Practice" - both brainchildren of series producer David Kelley.

In 1997 he landed a role on Damon Wayans' 413 Hope Street with Jesse L. Martin and Richard Roundtree. Easton played Nick Carrington, a former drug addict and counselor at an inner-city crisis center. The show tackled topics including the struggles of drug addiction and recovery, homelessness, racism, hate crimes, HIV and AIDS, social justice, income inequality, and disproportionate Black conviction and incarceration. Easton later described the experience as one of the most creatively and personally rewarding of his career.

After a Gemini-nominated turn as the detective David Hume in Showtime's "Total Recall 2070", Michael returned to Daytime with ABC's "Port Charles", a spinoff of "General Hospital" - with a decidedly more supernatural bent - and the start of an extraordinary run playing an unprecedented five characters within the overall "General Hospital" universe.

Michael helped shape and create the now-iconic Caleb Morley - a vampire, rockstar, and bad boy the viewers loved. The character was wildly popular with viewers and was arguably a forerunner to later vampire protagonists in "Angel", "True Blood", "The Vampire Diaries", and even "Twilight". When "Port Charles" ended, Michael began work as John McBain on "One Life to Live" in 2003 - a role he played for the next nine years - and later carried over to "General Hospital". Currently he plays Dr. Hamilton Finn, an infectious disease specialist and epidemiologist. His performance as the character battled addiction and subsequent struggle in withdrawal and recovery earned him a Daytime Emmy nomination in 2018.

His 2011 graphic novel trilogy "Soul Stealer" was a critical success and praised by Aint It Cool News as "Graphic Novel of the Year". Michael's story, combined with artist Christopher Shy's masterful visualizations, made for a stunning partnership of words and pictures. Michael had also struck a friendship with Peter Straub - who had been a dedicated "One Life to Live" viewer. The author visited the set in New York and left a gift in Michael's mailbox - a copy of his novel "Koko". It was a novel Michael's mother had loved, and in that way things have of coming full circle, Michael later collaborated with Straub, writing the terrifying novel "The Green Woman" for DC Comics.

A proud member of the Writers Guild of America, Michael also adapted and wrote the screenplay for "Daedelus is Dead", a short film based on an unfinished script by Doors legend Jim Morrison. The film has screened at more than a dozen major film festivals and was bought by The Sundance Channel. His feature detailing the life of actor Montgomery Clift is being produced by Relativity Media, while another screenplay about Ella Fitzgerald is in development with Norman Lear.

Michael penned the gritty novel "Credence", published by Blackwatch Comcs - a company he formed and co-owns with Christopher Shy and Emmalee Pearson. In 2015, he also wrote and directed short films "Dreamliner" and the award-winning "Ultraviolent" - both starring his friend and former OLTL castmate Trevor St. John. In 2020 he teamed up again with St. John, and former co-stars Sherri Saum and Rebecca Budig on the short film About a Girl, written by Budig and directed by Easton. The film won the Outstanding Achievement Award in the 2020 Best Shorts Film Festival, praising the "Deft direction, beautiful craft, and achingly authentic performance by Budig."

John-Paul was raised in the main filming location town of the 1958 sci-fi flick "The Blob." He spent a great deal of time during his childhood and young adult years performing magic tricks and playing the drums for almost anyone that would watch or listen. Him and his bunny rabbit could be spotted on any weekend day at a kids birthday party, and the drum set would appear the evenings at a coffee shop or banquet venue. With no other dreams or abilities to consider, and fueled by his love for Rush, he moved to center city Philadelphia after high school to study jazz performance at The University of the Arts. During his second year enrolled he learned about his love for films and realized Manhattan was only about 100 miles away where he could toss his luck at acting.

Almost immediately after landing in NYC John-Paul began booking gigs of all sorts. Student films, print ads, extra work (union card!), small venue theatre shows, infomercials, even a romance novel cover, all while paying the rent via mainly waiting tables at The Russian Tea Room. After calling his basement 1 bedroom in Astoria, Queens home for about a year he auditioned for ABC's "One Life to Live"..........five times. Then they chose him. He played "Rex Balsom" on that show for 10 years non-stop until the network canceled it in 2011.

John-Paul has lived in Los Angeles since 2012 and spends much of his time reading novels, exercising, golfing, and hosting the occasional poker game. He can often be found running the paved roads of Beverly Hills or doing his best to keep up with maintaining friendships.

Farah LeeAllen Fath was born in Lexington, Kentucky on May 1st, 1984. When she was only five, she decided to start a career in show-business. After finding success as a child model, she turned her attention to acting and at the age of 15 nabbed her first audition for the role of Mimi Lockhart on Days of our Lives. She would continue in the role for almost 8 years until 2007 when she moved to New York and took a part on One Life to Live (a part that was written specifically for her). After One Life to Live was canceled in 2011, Farah moved back to Los Angeles.

David Fumero was born on 29 December 1972 in Havana, Cuba. He is an actor, known for One Life to Live (1968), Power (2014) and Trio (2010). He has been married to Melissa Fumero since 9 December 2007. They have two children.

Robin Vee Strasser was born on May 7, 1945 in New York City. the daughter of Martin and Anne Strasser. She attended and graduated from the High School of Performing Arts, and later attended the Yale School of Drama on a full scholarship. She is a founding member of the American Conservatory Theatre, and began her extensive daytime career in 1967. She is best known for her role as Dorian Lord on the soap opera One Life to Live (1968), and as 300-year-old witch Hecuba on the soap opera Passions (1999). She announced in late 1999 that she will leave her Emmy-winning role of Dorian Lord in January 2000, in order to devote her energies to promoting women's health issues, namely menopause awareness.

Tika Sumpter was born in New York and graduated from Marymount Manhattan College. Sumpter began her career as model, before she landed the role of "Layla Williamson" in ABC's daytime soap opera, One Life to Live (1968) (2005-2010, 2011).

After she left the soap, Sumpter won a recurring role in the CW series, Gossip Girl (2007), and appeared in the BET sitcom, The Game (2006). After supporting roles in the films, Stomp the Yard 2: Homecoming (2010), Salt (2010), What's Your Number? (2011) and Think Like a Man (2012), she was cast alongside Jordin Sparks and Whitney Houston in the 2012 musical film, Sparkle (2012). In 2013, she was cast as vixen "Candace Young" in the OWN drama series, The Haves and the Have Nots (2013).

Trevor St. John was born on 3 September 1971 in Spokane, Washington, USA. He is an actor and writer, known for The Bourne Ultimatum (2007), Containment (2016) and Crimson Tide (1995). He has been married to Sara St. John since 2000. They have one child.

Trish Van Devere is an American actress best-known for her comedic turn in Carl Reiner's cult classic, Where's Poppa? (1970), in support of George Segal and Ruth Gordon, and for being the wife and widow and frequent co-star of legendary actor, George C. Scott. Born Patricia Louise Dressel on March 9, 1941 in Tenafly, New Jersey, she first made her mark, professionally, on the soap opera, One Life to Live (1968). She met Scott when they co-starred (along with his then-wife Colleen Dewhurst) in the neo-noir, The Last Run (1971). Scott eventually shed Dewhurst (for the second time) and married Van Devere in 1972. She co-starred with him in Mike Nichols' thriller, The Day of the Dolphin (1973), which was not a success, and The Savage Is Loose (1974), a flop, directed by Scott, that was barely released. During the rest of the decade, they co-starred in the TV movie, Beauty and the Beast (1976), Movie Movie (1978), and The Changeling (1980) (1980), a period that coincided with the decline of Scott's stardom and critical reputation. After 1980, when the two appeared on Broadway in a calamitous flop, she continued to appear in less prestigious movies and on TV until 1994.

Van Devere became a stage actress under the tutelage of Scott. She made her Broadway debut in 1975 in a revival of Eugene O'Neill's "All God's Chillun Got Wings", directed by her husband. She also co-starred with him on the Great White Way in "Sly Fox", a retelling of Ben Jonson's "Volpone", that was a great hit. In 1980, they co-starred for the final time on Broadway in the mystery-romance, "Tricks of the Trade", which closed on opening night.

Robert S. Woods was born on 13 March 1948 in Maywood, California, USA. He is an actor, known for One Life to Live (1968), All My Children (1970) and Days of Our Lives (1965). He has been married to Loyita Chapel since 1985. They have two children.

Hillary B. Smith was born on 25 May 1957 in Boston, Massachusetts, USA. She is an actress and producer, known for Venice the Series (2009), One Life to Live (1968) and Fumbling Thru the Pieces (2011). She has been married to Phillip 'Nip' Smith since 1983. They have two children.

Born and raised in Fairbanks, Alaska, David's first on-screen role was a series of commercials for Airborne where he starred as Sebastian, a Fabio-esque romance novel hero, in 2008. He began as a series regular on the ABC sudser "One Life to Live" in 2009.

Since his stint in daytime drama, David has played recurring characters on "The Good Fight" (CBS), "Insatiable" (Netflix), "Constantine" (NBC), and "Deception" (NBC). He recently guest starred opposite Neil Patrick Harris in the Netflix comedy "Uncoupled".

He voiced Deputy Bell in the scripted podcast western "Powder Burns" - which starred John Wesley Shipp as the titular blind sheriff, with Robert Vaughn and Edward Asner. David created, wrote, and executive produced the 7-episode series (available on Youtube).

David served as guest faculty at his alma mater Baldwin-Wallace University during the pandemic. He is also a vocal advocate and public speaker for the Alzheimer's Association.
