Ranking the Men of Charmed: Season 1

by Incredible_Brightness • Created 10 years ago • Modified 10 years ago
It's pretty clear the show was really there for the dating and the romance and the ridiculous relationships. So... let's all get shallow (like that'll be hard) and rank the guys that stand out. And not just the ones that became romantic interests. (We're going by my standards here and I'd like to think I have a pretty good eye.)

Update: My original opinions can change at any time. Also, I hate IMDb's system of rearranging names/numbers (it won't let me just change the number, press enter, and move that person / movie up to the slot I typed in), so I've decided that I will make a separate list for every single season. Provided that I actually sit through them all.

Not listed: Prue's boss at the auction house. He's nice but, I'm trying to steer clear of men who have no IMDb.com photo or headshot.

Here's what I mean when I talk about Leo below. He needs some of Andy's "damn it, I'm in this relationship too!" kind of thing.

Allen Cutler was born on 15 October 1975 in Whittier, California, USA. He is an actor, known for Justified (2010), Cold Case (2003) and Charmed (1998).
Doug (Episode 12) - Okay, I don't care what anyone thinks of my tastes. I like a hunky, big, hot, dopey guy who would probably let you have your way with anything you asked for. Beautiful push-over, nice guy, sweet and wears heart on sleeve. This guy is perfect for me! (And he's kind of like this in most of the roles I've seen him in. And his body is AMAZING!) (I know it seems like I took notches away from Leo for the same thing but I had a crush on this guy years before I saw this show.)

I'm a COP! Yes, you are. I don't know how it works, but this guy's "I don't know what's going on but if you need a search warrant or a guy to say something out of place and doofily witty, I'm always here" really works for him. I mean, the guy's a mountain of beef without one discernible trace of jock stigma.

Weatherly married internist Dr. Bojana Jankovic on September 30, 2009. The couple live in Los Angeles with their two children, a daughter Olivia, and a son Liam.
Brendan the Warlock Priest (Episode 18). No opinion, he's just really, REALLY hot.

I'm waiting for the episode where I fall in love with Leo, but... it hasn't happened yet. He's always had a great butt but I'm starting to think this was a bad role for the actor. He's too wooden.

"Doctor" (Episode 6) - I'm logging this guy in because he went on to play the lead in that terrible movie about the people who gorilla-filmed that "documentary" about how weird Disney World is, Escape from Tomorrow. I hated it and I hated his character in it... but I had the major hots for him. (What? I like kind of like sleazy, weasely guys.)
  • Billy Jayne

Billy (Episode 13) - He's changed a little bit since the 80's but he's still pretty hot. If you saw him in Just One of the Guys (1985), you probably wished all your friends had a little brother like him! That movie is on Netflix (Watch Instant) right now! Watch it and wait for his shirtless scene. It's incredible.

He made his film debut in the indie classic, I Shot Andy Warhol. He continues to work in the business and is married with one child.
Clay (Episode 12) - Well, he's definitely the best guy for Phoebe. That the show will probably ever give her. Unfortunately... he has absolutely no personality. He's insanely hot though. With more time on the show, who knows what could develop?
  • Tim Herzog

    9. Tim Herzog

    • Actor
    The Animal (2001)
Tim Herzog is known for The Animal (2001), The Joe Schmo Show (2003) and The Bold and the Beautiful (1987).

Laurence Beck (Episode 13) - I always had a little thing for him when he was on Scrubs. He didn't get a lot of screentime but he had a way of making you miss him when he wasn't around.
  • Brad Greenquist

    11. Brad Greenquist

His first feature film, The Bedroom Window, put him on the map, and he has been working steadily ever since in films, television and on the live stage. Mr. Greenquist lives in Santa Monica, California.

That's the narrative. For the interesting stuff, look to the trivia section below...
I know he played the creepy-ass zombie in Pet Sematary. I know he's always creepy... But, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't thinking of what it would be like to kiss him in all those shots when he got in his victims' faces and they kind of were thinking he was going to try and... you know the rest. He's very smooth. And his hair is sexy.
  • Matthew Ashford

    12. Matthew Ashford

    • Actor
    • Producer
    • Writer
    Days of Our Lives (1987–2024)
Matthew Nile Ashford was born on January 29, 1960, in the town of Davenport, Iowa. He is the third youngest [youngest boy] of eight kids. He has four brothers and 3 sisters, and in descending order their names are: Dave [6/4], Jeff [6/4], Phil [10/1], Teresa [4/16], Randy [8/9], Matt [1/29], Susie [3/13], and Sally [9/16]. When he was 12 years old, his sisters took him to auditions for a local play, and it was there that he was bitten by the acting bug. A year later, the family moved to Fairfax, VA, where Matthew attended Hayfield High and continued to involve himself in local theatre as well as school productions. After graduation, Matthew attended the highly accredited North Carolina School of the Arts in Winston-Salem. During the summer months, he and a friend worked as street performers in Myrtle Beach, SC doing mime, magic, juggling, improv. Eventually, he joined the Ragamuffin Magic & Mime Company where he earned his first professional paycheck. Soon after graduating from NC School of the Arts, in 1982, with a B.F.A. in Theatre, he followed his star to New York City; it was full of opportunities, and it was still only a train ride from mom. Matthew was not in town long before he was put under contract by ABC and cast as Drew Ralston on One Life to Live (1968) (1982-83). Sadly, Drew was killed in a flower shop on the eve of his wedding. After his year on OLTL, Matt toured with a troupe performing "Member of the Wedding," which soon led to his second soap, Search for Tomorrow (1951). Matt played Cagney McCleary, with brothers David Forsyth and 'Jeff Meek', from 1983 until the show was canceled in December of 1986. Matt quickly made the role of "Jack" his own and won several awards for his portrayal of the popular Days' character including Soap Opera Digest's Best Villain in 1989, a Super Couple (1991) and Best Wedding (1992) award with Melissa Reeves, as well as the Best Comedic Performance award in 1992. Strangely, the birth of Matthew and Christina's daughter Grace seemed to coincide with the birth of Jack's television daughter, Abigail. Little Grace was born on June 15, 1992. Matt left Days of Our Lives (1965) within the following year, in September of 1993, after six years as Jack Deveraux. He remains the only true "Jack" in the hearts of many. In 1997, he and his wife Grace had a second child -- a daughter Emma. During his time off from the soaps, Matt took the opportunity to get involved with live theatre again. He joined the prestigious Interact Theatre Company, headed by former co-star Marilyn McIntyre (ex-Jo Days). He remains active in the troupe, despite his daytime schedule.
When we get to guys like this, I know I'm going to have to explain who they were. This was Roger, Prue's nasty boss who took her ideas and her promotion in the first episode. As forgettable the moment you saw him as he is now.
  • Billy Wirth

    13. Billy Wirth

    • Actor
    • Producer
    • Director
    The Lost Boys (1987)
Wirth attended Collegiate Prep School in Manhattan and Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. Discovered by photographer Bruce Weber while at Brown University, he started modeling in New York City in the mid 80s for such magazines as Seventeen, GQ, Interview, and teen magazines. While at Brown he did his first Diet Pepsi Commercial before moving on to television and movies. His first television show was The Equalizer and moved to LA to start an acting career. His first movie was Seven Minutes In Heaven. Fifteen years later he is fine tuning his craft and has moved on to being behind the camera. Besides acting, he is also serious about writing, directing, and his artwork is showing in many California galleries. Having completed a Short Film, Kismet, in 1999, he moved on to his first full length Independent film, MacArthur Park, for which he was the writer, director and producer. The film was screened at the Sundance Film Festival 2001 (Grand Prize nominee), Taos Talking Picture Festival (Land Grant nominee), and Seattle International Film Festival 2001 as part of the Black Experience in Films. In the early 1990s Billy fronted a rock band in LA called Dust N'Bones. He works off and on with a band called "The Cronies" and they are still in the working stage of a new acoustic CD with music written by Wirth and Steven Costentino. Billy seems to have found his calling behind the scenes of movie making and at the present time is working on a documentary that combines the plight of the homeless, one of Billy's long time interests, and behind the making of MacArthur Park. He changed management in 2007 by going with John Crosby Management of LA and will be working with manager looking for acting and directing projects. He has also opened his own online Art Gallery and completed a new film The Drone Virus, plus a feature for director Andrew Wagner called The Talent Given Us.
Episode 10: Matthew the Salem Warlock guy. I know he was in The Lost Boys but that hair really doesn't do it for me. And his character was boring.

Josh - I'm a huge fan of this guy... but he's utterly unrecognizable as a blond. Looks terrible.
