Kim Petras (born 27 August 1992) is a German singer and songwriter based in Los Angeles. Between 2016 and 2020, she released music as an independent artist under her own imprint, BunHead Records, before signing with Amigo and Republic Records in 2021.
Kim Petras was born in the city of Cologne. Her mother is a choreographer and artist, her father is an architect and her older sister is also a singer. While she was assigned male at birth, her parents said that from the age of two Petras knew she was a girl. In 2006, Petras, then aged 13, appeared on a German television current affairs show in which she discussed her medical gender transition. At age 14, Petras appeared in a documentary and a talk show, in a push to get permission for early sex reassignment surgery at age 16, before the minimum age of 18 in Germany. These appearances resulted in international media coverage of her transition, touting her as the "world's youngest transsexual".
In September 2007, she was a model for a German chain of hair salons. Petras was evaluated by the head of the psychiatric unit at Frankfurt Hospital, Dr Bernd Meyenburg, and approved for gender confirmation surgery at 16 years old; Petras announced, in November 2008, that the surgery was completed. The Daily Telegraph claimed Petras was the youngest person in the world to have had that surgery at the time. About her surgery, she stated "I was asked if I feel like a woman now - but the truth is I have always felt like a woman - I just ended up in the wrong body".
In an interview with BuzzFeed, Petras said the first song she ever wrote was "about this dude in second grade who didn't like me back".[13]
Petras began recording music as a teenager, releasing her debut extended play One Piece of Tape in 2011. She independently released her debut international single in 2017 Kim Petras: I Don't Want It at All (2017), in the music video she appears together with Paris Hilton, forming a duo of explosive blondes. The song was followed by Billboard-charting singles Kim Petras: Heart to Break (2018), in the music video she is a princess and Julio Marcelino is the prince. Following her early success, Petras released a collection of digital singles which would later comprise her unofficial body of work known as Era 1. Petras released her debut album Clarity, on 28 June 2019. The record was preceded with a nine-week-long promotional campaign, during which Petras released one single per week with an accompanying visual lyric video. Clarity received acclaim from music critics, reached number seven on the Heatseekers Chart and number 26 on the Independent Albums chart. Following this, Petras released her second studio album, Turn Off the Light in October 2019. In 2020, Petras saw further success with her songs Kim Petras: Malibu (At Home Edition) (2020) accompanied by a very summery music video featuring big names like Paris Hilton who repeats with Kim and others like Demi Lovato, Charli XCX, the sisters Jessie J and AJ Michalka, Nikita Dragun and many others.
In 2021 Petras signed with Republic Records and released the 7-track EP Slut Pop in 2022.
On 30 July 2022, Petras seemingly confirmed via Twitter that the album titled Problématique had been scrapped. On 2 August 2022, many songs believed to be on the album leaked online.
Petras is a pop singer who also makes electronic dance music, dance-pop, electropop and bubblegum pop. She credits the late 1990s and early 2000s pop scene, as well as 1980s Italo disco, as the primary basis for her sound. Petras' inspirations include Katy Perry, Cher, Lady Gaga, Beyoncé, Britney Spears, Christina Aguilera, Kylie Minogue, Madonna and the Spice Girls, as well as Boy George, Debbie Harry, Queen, Freddie Mercury, Judy Garland, Baby E, Lil Aaron, Liz Y2K., and Kesha.- Actor

Alex Lifeson is best known as the broadly-skilled guitarist for the rock group Rush, which also features drummer Neil Peart and bassist Geddy Lee. Rush is the most successful Canadian music group in history, and is the third most prolific seller of consecutive (American) Gold and Platinum Records and videos, behind only the Beatles and the Rolling Stones. Lifeson's ability to pull double-duty as both a melodic rhythm-guitar player and a searing soloist has earned him a reputation similar to that of his bandmates. All three share the distinction of being among the most highly influential virtuosos in their crafts. Alex has a passion for studio production, and is the only member of Rush to compose and produce a television theme (Andromeda (2000)). But his live performances are where his spontaneous side really shows. During live performances, Alex deftly switches from rhythm guitar to soloing, while simultaneously triggering his own pre-recorded accompaniments. Being the soul of spontaneity in the band, Alex is the member of Rush who most frequently contributes comedy to the show. This side of Alex can be seen during the performances of "La Villa Strangiato" on two of Rush's concert videos, Rush in Rio (2003) and Rush: A Show of Hands (1989), and to an even greater degree on the documentary "The Boys In Brazil" (2003), part of the bonus material included with Rush in Rio (2003). Alex's prowess can be heard on a few non-Rush recordings, primarily his solo album, entitled simply "Victor" (1996), and the soundtrack album for South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut (1999). After their longest break from recording and touring, a highly successful 2002 tour brought Rush back to the United States, Canada, and Mexico, to the great anticipation of fans. Rush ended their 2002 tour with their first-ever shows in Brazil, where they played to 125,000 fans in three nights. The final performance of the 2002 tour was captured on DVD as Rush in Rio (2003), which was certified double-platinum within weeks of its release. Alex has fostered several younger groups, such as The Dexters, who he often guests with during their live performances at The Orbit Room, a Toronto club that Alex owns in part.- Actress

Bonnie Ebsen was born on 27 August 1951 in Los Angeles, California, USA. She is an actress, known for Black Magic Woman (1991), Barnaby Jones (1973) and The Fall Guy (1981). She has been married to Bruce Collins Jackson since 22 March 1980.- One of those wonderfully busy character actors whose face is familiar if not his name, mild-mannered actor Byron Foulger began performing with community theater, and stock and repertory companies after graduating from the University of Utah. He met his future wife, character actress Dorothy Adams, in one of these companies. The marriage lasted nearly five decades and ended only with his death.
Making his Broadway debut in a 1920 production of "Medea" that featured Moroni Olsen as Jason (of the Argonauts), and went on to appear in several other Olsen Broadway productions and in close succession (including "The Trial of Joan of Arc," "Mr. Faust" and "Candida"). While touring the country with Olsen's stock company, he ended up at the Pasadena Playhouse where he both acted and directed. Thereafter he and wife Dorothy decided to settle in Los Angeles.
Together the acting couple tried to stake a claim for themselves in 30s and 40s Hollywood films. Both succeeded, appearing in hundreds of film parts, both together and apart, albeit in small and often unbilled bits. A man of meek, nervous countenance, Foulger's short stature and squinty stare could be used for playing both humble and shady fellows. In the 1940s, the actor became a part of Preston Sturges' company of players, appearing in five of his classic films -- The Great McGinty (1940), Sullivan's Travels (1941), The Palm Beach Story (1942), The Miracle of Morgan's Creek (1943) and The Great Moment (1944).
Although predominantly employed as an owlish storekeeper, mortician, professor, or bank teller, his better parts had darker intentions. He was exceptional as weaselly, mealy-mouthed, whining henchmen who inevitably showed their yellow streak by the film's end.
The character actor eased into TV roles in the 1950s and '60s, displaying a comedy side in many folksy, rural sitcoms. His final regular TV role was as train conductor Wendell Gibbs in the final years of the Petticoat Junction (1963) series. The father of actress Rachel Ames, Foulger died of a heart ailment on April 4, 1970, coincidentally the same day the final new episode of Petticoat Junction (1963) was broadcast. . - Cainan Wiebe was born on 27 August 1995 in British Columbia, Canada. He is best known for his appearances as Dean Bates on the ABC sitcom Roseanne (1988-1997; 2018), for his role as Jason Baldridge in the award-winning CBS courtroom drama The Trials of Rosie O'Neill (1990-92), for his portrayal of Norman Schmeltzer on the hit NBC comedy Saved by the Bell (1989-1993), and as the lead singer and primary songwriter of the bands Drop 6 (1996-2001) and Somis (2002 -2006)
Donah was born in Fullerton, California as the result of a romantic interlude occurring the night of the Valencia High School Christmas Dance of 1967. His mother, Zandra Darlene Hubalck, and father, David Allen Donah, were both still high school students who were compelled by the ethos of the time to marry in order to legitimize his birth. After their divorce, just a few years later, Donah and his younger sister went to live with their maternal grandparents for a time. Eventually, Donah's mother remarried and brought the children to live with her and their new stepfather in Norco, California, where Donah spent the remainder of his childhood.
Donah describes his early life as somewhat lonely and withdrawn. He was bullied at school for being overweight and his parents struggled financially which added a significant amount of instability at home. As an escape, he spent a lot of time immersed in fantasy. Whether in books, in films, or on television, he came to love the idea of getting lost in a reality other than his own and imagining himself as the heroes or villains of the stories he loved. In high school he found a rare respite from the shame of being overweight in playing football, where his girth could at times be seen as an asset. It was also during this time that he realized the potential that physical training offered in transforming his physique and losing the excess weight that had burdened him for so long. A torn ACL during his junior year, however, ended his high school football days and, unable to continue team training as an elective, forced him to select an alternate course. At his mother's suggestion, he chose a theater class. It was in that class that Donah first performed in front of an audience and developed a sincere love of doing so. He poured himself into the study of theater, sought training and opportunity wherever he could find it, and was soon regularly appearing in regional theatrical productions, earning local acclaim and awards.
At age 18, Donah packed his sparse belongings and, with a small amount of savings he had accumulated, moved to Los Angeles. He rented the lowest cost single room he could find and began waiting tables to pay the bills. He had some headshots taken and began looking for an agent, while auditioning for small theater roles as often as possible. After having little to no luck for almost a year, Donah was preparing to return to his hometown when a friend arranged a meeting for him with an agent who agreed to take him on.
Within just a few months he began having some success, initially in commercials, appearing in multiple national and regional ads, and then, in television, where he would go on to play roles on many of the preeminent shows of their time, often at the height of their popularity. In 1994, as part of his recurring role on the Roseanne show, Donah appeared in an episode titled, "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" which was viewed by one of the largest viewing audiences for a sitcom ever at that point, with over 30 million viewers tuning in.
In 1996, Donah became the lead singer, and one of the founding members, of the rock band, Drop 6. The group quickly gained a loyal following, began performing to increasingly larger audiences and, on December 31, 1999, headlined the Y2K New Year's Eve Bash at the world-famous Whisky A Go Go on the Sunset Strip. The band went on to garner additional accolades for their live performances including an infamous outdoor show on June 28 2001 in which Drop 6 partially shut down Sunset Blvd. to perform an impromptu concert to a large group of Stone Temple Pilots fans waiting outside the Roxy Theater. With a 30-foot flatbed truck, the band commandeered Sunset Blvd as their stage and performed to the cheering crowd until law enforcement arrived and forced them to leave.
By the end of 2001, unfortunately, the members of Drop 6 began to struggle with artistic differences that resulted in the group's eventual dissolution. Donah and other core members, however, would go on to form a second band, Somis, a harder-edged rock group that embodied the more aggressive, guitar heavy sound of the mid 2000's. Donah also continued to appear regularly in television, film, commercials, and music videos, as well as writing, recording, and performing with Somis. Among the roles he portrayed were the cheating ex-husband in the music video for Sara Evan's chart-topping ballad, "Cheatin" (2005), Mike Fallon on the NBC drama Las Vegas (2003-2008), and host of the international food and culture show, BlendIn TV (2009-2012), which became a viral phenomenon in 2009 and beyond. In 2012, however, Donah's 4-year-old son was diagnosed as having ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder). In response, Donah largely withdrew from public life in order to dedicate more of his time to the care and treatment of his son. In 2021, however, Donah released a music video featuring his son, as well as his daughter and wife. Titled "Chase's Mom", the project was a collaboration with his son who was then age 13 and considering film making as a vocation. The video was a parody of the 2003 pop hit, "Stacy's Mom" by Fountains of Wayne reimagined from the perspective of a middle-aged suburban husband and father.- Producer

A consummate character actor whose deep Southern drawl (courtesy of a Georgia birth and South Carolina upbringing) made him a highly sought-after personality. Howell began his career on Broadway in "Make A Million." Hollywood took note of his accent and tried to make the best use of it, from a minor role in Splendor in the Grass (1961) to the Preacher in Grand Theft Auto.
Equally at home on the small screen, Howell was a familiar face on television throughout the 1970's and 80's. A few of his guest spots included The Andy Griffith Show, Green Acres, Here Come the Brides, Columbo, JAG, The Fall Guy, Hunter, Webster, Happy Days and Scarecrow & Mrs. King.
His career followed in the vein of other famous character actors like John Carradine, Harry Dean Stanton, Pat Hingle and Woody Strode (his co-star in Kingdom of the Spiders). No matter the movie, Howell acted as if it was a plum role. From big-budget films like Far And Away and Geronimo: An American Legend to cult classics (Humanoids From the Deep, Kingdom of the Spiders) to low-budget flicks (Star Hunter, Alien Species), Howell made himself at home. Even the exploitation industry found its uses for Howell, giving some respectability to titles like Slaughter's Big Rip-Off, Bikini Drive-In, Vice Girls and Bikini Hoe-Down.
Though known mostly for his acting skills, Howell did try his hand at the other side of the camera. He wrote screenplays for Click: The Calendar Girl Killer, One Block Away and B.O.R.N. and also three episodes of "The Rookies." He was also an associate producer for B.O.R.N.- Writer

Author, playwright and composer Ira Levin decided on a career of a writer at the age of 15. Based in Queens, New York, he wrote and produced training films for Uncle Sam before moving into television, penning scripts for such anthology series as Lights Out (1946) and The United States Steel Hour (1953). He made a bright theatre debut at the age of 25 with an adaptation of Mac Hyman's "No Time for Sergeants" (1955). He went on to write several plays, including the longest-running Broadway mystery to date, "Deathtrap" (1978), and several popular novels, including "A Kiss Before Dying", and other plays including "Critics Choice" and "Interlock" and the Broadway stage score and libretto for "Drat the Cat!". Joining ASCAP in 1965, he wrote the popular gospel song "He Touched Me" with his chief musical collaborator Milton Schafer.- Actor

Jake Steed was born on 27 August 1970 in the USA. He is an actor and director.- Alongside Ben Turpin, diminutive Scots-born Jimmy Finlayson was, arguably, the most instantly recognisable of the many clowns of silent screen slapstick who made their living as comic foil to stars like Laurel & Hardy, or Harold Lloyd. The perpetually exasperated, squinting, bald-pated master of the 'double-take and fade' with the walrus (fake) moustache began his working life as an apprentice in his father's iron foundry. Not finding this much to his liking he decided on a mercantile career and enrolled at Edinburgh University. There, he befriended the actor John Clyde, who, before long, talked him out of business and into acting. So, Jimmy quit university and found a job as small part character player with the Theatre Royal in Edinburgh. Soon after, he began to work in comedy with a local repertory company and in music hall, appearing in plays written by Harry Lauder's brother - and fellow Scotsman - Alec.
A year later (in 1911), Jimmy crossed the Atlantic to appear on Broadway in the West End cast of "Bunty Pulls the Strings", followed in 1912 by "The Great Game". Buoyed by success, he decided to stay in America and embarked on a nationwide tour in vaudeville, again accompanied by Alec Lauder. Ending up in California after four years on the road, Jimmy decided to settle in Hollywood. He was joined there by his younger brother Bob who eventually became a camera technician. In 1916, Jimmy was given a few minor roles at L-KO, but it was not until 1920 that he signed a three-year contract with Mack Sennett. It is by no means certain that Finlayson was ever one of the original Keystone Kops, though he certainly donned police uniform for several of his two-reelers and appeared as a Kop in both Stout Hearts and Willing Hands (1931) and Hollywood Cavalcade (1939). In several of his early films, he was also co-starred with Ben Turpin, invariably playing the part of the villain or straight man to Turpin's cross-eyed antics.
Jimmy's prospects improved when he joined Hal Roach at Culver City in 1923. He started off as the antagonist in several of Stan Laurel's early solo efforts, but Roach -- recognising his potential -- attempted to elevate him to first billing. Stan Laurel turned director for three short films with Jimmy as the nominal lead: Yes, Yes, Nanette (1925), Chasing the Chaser (1925) and Should Husbands Pay? (1926). Since these failed to propel Finlayson into the first comedic echelon, he was instead briefly touted as one third of a starring trio alongside Laurel and Oliver Hardy. However, this idea was quickly abandoned, and, by 1928, Jimmy had comfortably settled into his niche as antagonist or mainstay comic support. By this time he had rather perfected his inimitable mannerisms: the long double-take, the squint, one-eyed stare and raised eyebrow, usually followed by a palpable state of near-apoplexy. Much of the joy in anarchic comedies like Big Business (1929) is derived precisely in the anticipation of the 'civilised', well-ordered violence which is about to take place when Laurel & Hardy square off against Finlayson.
Jimmy appeared in some of the best two-reelers Roach made at MGM, and was subsequently involved as an integral part in most of Laurel & Hardy's feature films, standing out in Pardon Us (1931), Our Relations (1936) , and, above all, as the perfidious Mickey Finn in Way Out West (1937). He also appeared opposite other leading comics, including Charley Chase in, among others, Hasty Marriage (1931) and His Silent Racket (1933) - on occasion even without wearing his famous whiskers. It is now generally acknowledged that another of Jimmy's screen mannerisms -- his drawn-out, frustration-borne exclamation "d'ohhhhh" -- famously inspired Dan Castellaneta's Homer Simpson, uttering his suitably shortened trademark, "d'oh".
With the era of madcap comedy drawing to a close, Jimmy Finlayson continued on in movie bit parts and walk-ons, often with credits like 'loafer' or 'Scottish Farmer with Mustache'. Illness brought about his retirement in 1951. He died two years later from a heart attack at his home in Hollywood. - Janet MacLachlan was born on 27 August 1933 in New York City, New York, USA. Paul Reubens was born Paul Rubenfeld on August 27, 1952 in Peekskill, New York, to Judy (Rosen), a teacher, and Milton Rubenfeld, a car salesman who had flown for the air forces of the U.S., U.K., and Israel, becoming one of the latter country's pioneering pilots. Paul grew up in Sarasota, Florida, where his parents owned a lamp store. During winters, The Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus called Sarasota home, and young Paul counted such big-top families as the Wallendas and the Zacchinis among his neighbors. When he was 11-years-old, he joined the local Asolo Theater, and during the next six years, he appeared in a variety of plays. After graduating from Sarasota High School in 1970, he attended Boston University for one year before deciding to seek his fortune as Paul Reubens in Hollywood, where he enrolled as an acting major at the California Institute of the Arts and accepted a string of pay-the-rent jobs ranging from pizza chef to Fuller Brush salesman.
In the mid 1970s, his acting career grew slowly and steadily with small roles in theater productions, gigs at local comedy clubs and four guest appearances on The Gong Show (1976). During this time of education/employment, he joined an improvisational comedy troupe called The Groundlings. The popular gang of yuksters, whose roster has included Conan O'Brien, Lisa Kudrow, the late Phil Hartman, Jon Lovitz, and Julia Sweeney, wrung laughs from audiences with skits starring scads of imaginative, self-created characters. Among Reubens's contributions to this comedic community were a philandering husband named Moses Feldman, an Indian chief named Jay Longtoe, and, the character he became best known for, Pee-Wee Herman, who debuted in 1978.
Pee-Wee was a funny man-child of indeterminate age and sexuality who created a sarcastic enthusiasm for the popular culture of the '50s and '60s. The geeky character's wardrobe consisted of a gray suit, a white short-sleeved shirt accessorized with a red clip-on bow tie, and white patent-leather loafers. He wore his jet-black hair military short with a defiant tuft in front, and he accentuated his lily-white complexion with pink cheeks and red lipstick. Reubens drew inspiration for Pee-Wee's geeky behavior from a youth he had attended summer camp with, and derived his creation's boyish voice from a character he played as a child actor. Pee-Wee appeared for only 10 minutes of The Groundlings show, but he nonetheless built up a considerable following and turned out to be a star of the '80s and early '90s. The Pee-Wee Herman Show (1981), ran for five sellout months at the Los Angeles's Roxy nightclub, and HBO taped the performance and aired it as a special.
Now a genuine comedy-circuit star, he became a frequent guest of David Letterman and a favorite at Caroline's in New York. In 1984, he sold out Carnegie Hall. He later auditioned for the cast of Saturday Night Live (1975), but when that didn't turn out as planned, he started writing a feature-length screenplay for Pee-Wee to star in, and asked friend Tim Burton to direct. Released to wildly divergent reviews, Pee-wee's Big Adventure (1985), followed its star cross-country in a madcap search for his beloved, stolen bike. The $7 million picture ended up grossing $45 million. That following year, CBS which had been losing children's audiences to cable programming, was interested in finding something to shore up its Saturday Morning lineup. The network company signed him to act/produce and to direct its live-action children's program called Pee-wee's Playhouse (1986). They doled out an eye-popping budget of $325,000 per episode - the same price as a prime- time sitcom. Reubens received complete creative control, albeit with three minor exceptions. During its five-year-run on CBS, he never appeared in general as himself. He even granted printed interviews in full Pee-Wee regalia.
The image of Pee-Wee was broken on July 26, 1991. On his summer vacation, Reubens was visiting his parents in Sarasota and sought escape from boredom by catching a showing of the X-rated film, Nurse Nancy. He fell victim to a police sting operation and was arrested for sex charges when detectives allegedly saw him playing with his private parts. He was released on $219 bail and nobody realized what had happened until somebody recognized him beneath his long hair and goatee. The media went berserk: 'Kids show star arrested for indecent exposure'. Because of his behavior, CBS dropped the Playhouse and related merchandise was released from its shelves. He agreed to pay a $50 fine plus $85 in court costs to Sarasota County, and he produced a 30 second public service message for the Partnership For Drug-Free America commercial. As part of the deal, the county sealed all legal papers relating to the actor's arrest and didn't leave Reubens with a criminal record. The scandal marked the near death of Pee-Wee Herman. Reubens appeared as his favorite character for the last time at that Autumn's MTV Music Video Awards. The enthusiastic reception was not surprising, as he had received 15 thousand supportive letters during his arrest. Regardless, he had recently made a promise not to play Pee-Wee anymore and used his arrest as an chance to portray other roles. A new feature length film by Netflix available beginning March 18, 2016 allowed Reubens to show Pee-Wee fans his character again in Pee-wee's Big Holiday (2016).
Reubens has landed a series of offbeat character roles. One year after he was taken into custody, he appeared in Burton's Batman Returns (1992) as the Penguin's unloving father, and as a vampire henchman in Buffy the Vampire Slayer (1992). Subsequent jobs have included a voice over for Tim Burton's The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993), a healthy stint as Andrew J. Lansing III on Murphy Brown (1988), and roles in the feature films, Dunston Checks In (1996), Matilda (1996), Buddy (1997) and Mystery Men (1999). He also signed to emcee a new game show based on the popular 'You Don't Know Jack' CD-ROM version.- Director
