A young man returns to Kashmir after his father's disappearance to confront his uncle, whom he suspects of playing a role in his father's fate.
    DirectorVishal BhardwajStarsShahid KapoorTabuShraddha Kapoor
Vishal Bharadwaj's final film on Shakespeare's trilogy ends on an epic note. Filled with brilliant, and I mean brilliant, performance, stunning visuals, poetic writing, memorable scenes(Lal chowk, all scenes of Tabu and Shahid and climax),music and direction, this film makes a must watch.Thank you Vishal sir for adapting 'Hamlet' and 'To be or not to be' in a very smart way. Shahid and Tabu......I have no words for you performance.
    My Rating:- 5/5
  • Ronit Roy, Rahul Bhat, Vineet Kumar Singh, and Girish Kulkarni in Ugly (2013)

The case of a missing girl takes us through a journey of human greed and brushes upon the egos and repressed emotions of the characters.
    DirectorAnurag KashyapStarsRahul BhatRonit RoyTejaswini Kolhapure
For me this year ended on a very good note and thanks to Anurag Kashyap for that. Ugly is a one of his best work till date. Strong on its story line, this film keep us seized and end on a very shocking note which leaves a strong message. The actors don't act but instead live their characters. Kashyap's movies scores good in technical part and in Ugly, the writing, camerawork, editing, sound and background score grabs our attention constantly.
    My Rating:- 4.75/5
  • Randeep Hooda and Alia Bhatt in Highway (2014)

Right before her wedding, a young woman finds herself abducted and held for ransom. As the initial days pass, she begins to develop a strange bond with her kidnapper.
    DirectorImtiaz AliStarsAlia BhattRandeep HoodaDurgesh Kumar
This man gets better and better with his each successive film. Who would have imagined that "Alia Bhatt", one film old(that too not so good),would play such a complex character so easily and effectively that people would shed their tears. Imtiaz Ali must have....which results to his best work till date. This film talk about the journey of these two characters, who carry their scars of past, and discover themselves and each other. I felt like,I, was travelling with them, experiencing the beautiful visual and in parallel the soothing music going on and on. Extremely strong in direction, performances, immortal music, visual, sound and editing, this film stays with you for a longer time....
    My Rating:- 4.5/5
  • Kangana Ranaut in Queen (2013)

    4. Queen

    8.1 (70K)
A Delhi girl from a traditional family sets out on a solo honeymoon after her marriage gets cancelled.
    DirectorVikas BahlStarsKangana RanautRajkummar RaoLisa Haydon
Make way here comes the Queen. You can't hate her, you can't comment or criticize her, you can't find mistakes in her, you just can love her because she's Kangana a.k.a Queen. What can I say about this film, there is a constant smile on my face when I talk or write about this movie. Vikas Bhal's beautiful film on self-discovery wins everybody's heart without a doubt and so does his main character 'Rani'. Memorable scenes, dialouges, direction, music and Kangana makes this film worth a watch
    My Rating:- 4.25/5
  • Sanjay Mishra in Ankhon Dekhi (2013)

    5. Ankhon Dekhi

    20131h 47m
    7.9 (13K)
After a distressing incident, a Delhi man vows to believe only what he can see, but his new ideals soon take his life in extreme directions.
    DirectorRajat KapoorStarsSanjay MishraSeema PahwaRajat Kapoor
"I would only believe, what I will see.." This is the concept of Rajat Kapoor's film. Using this very interesting concept, Rajat makes a very mature and clean film. Just like 'Rani' from Queen, 'Babuji' from this film wins our heart by his nature and actions. Very rare in hindi cinema, we see a pure and clean film and Ankhon Dehki is one of them. This is a film which is not to be told but to be experienced...
    My Rating:- 4/5
  • Aamir Khan and Anushka Sharma in PK (2014)

    6. PK

    20142h 33mNot Rated
    8.1 (211K)
An alien on Earth loses the only device he can use to communicate with his spaceship. His innocent nature and child-like questions force the country to evaluate the impact of religious views on people.
    DirectorRajkumar HiraniStarsAamir KhanAnushka SharmaSanjay Dutt
Everyone in this country gets excited when Rajkumar Hirani's film releases, because he deals with strong subject in a humorous and mature way, which wins hearts of every age group. P.K is also one such movie. A satire on 'God and Godmen', P.K wins your heart in the very first entertaining half. But the film gets dragged a bit in second half, the film making level of Hirani also comes down a little. But it is Aamir Khan, who is the true winner. As the film progresses he not only show that he is very good actor but shows those talents and capabilities which no one would have expected from him. For me its his carrier best performance. You never get bored while watching this movie but somehow I felt that message is conveyed properly but it is not as effective as OMG. But still P.K is a must watch
    My rating:-3.5/5

What a cast this film has.....So, when you have such a brilliant cast what do you expect, brilliant performance. But that's it....only the performance stays with you for a longer time, yes but the film has beautiful camera work, some good writing and a good climax for a very simple story line, rest all stands ordinary
