To further stir the pot, a conservative watchdog group finds out & threatens Shirley & the kids if they do perform. After trying to speak to the conservatives the once-undecided Shirley is angered by their narrow-mindedness and decides that yes, the family will perform at the rally, after all. But once there Keith discovers Tina does not want the group to sing their pop songs but instead warble ditties from a feminist songbook. Keith quits the gig, but will Shirley talk him into going on, just the same? This episode marks the first (and only) time the group performs their smash hit "I Think I Love You".
