The Walking Dead: Season 6 Best to Worst
Season 6 has a few great episodes (mostly in 6B), but its pacing and mediocre storytelling (particularly in 6A) places it as one of the show's weaker seasons.

Best
Perfectly paced, perfectly acted, and perfectly written. This episode was a true gem that didn't get the appreciation it deserved - DirectorGreg NicoteroStarsAndrew LincolnNorman ReedusSteven YeunDaryl, Abraham and Sasha face-off against the Saviors. Back at Alexandria, Rick and his group make their way through the herd.10/10
A very exciting, dramatic, and even kinda heartbreaking rebound from a mostly lackluster first half of a season - DirectorBilly GierhartStarsAndrew LincolnNorman ReedusSteven YeunCarol and Maggie must fight for their lives after being taken by a group of Saviors.10/10
Focuses less on action and gore and more on the character development of both our leads and our antagonists. And it is glorious. - DirectorGreg NicoteroStarsAndrew LincolnNorman ReedusSteven YeunRick leads a surprise attack against the Saviors with the joint forces of Alexandria and the Hilltop. As two group members end up captured, Tara and Heath leave on a two-week supply run.9/10
Has a slow start, but ultimately pays off with tense buildup and an action packed payoff. - DirectorJennifer LynchStarsAndrew LincolnNorman ReedusSteven YeunWhile Rick and his group lure the herd away, Carol and Morgan lead a line of defense against the Wolves when Alexandria comes under attack.9/10
The action heavy episodes are usually very entertaining and this episode is no exception. - DirectorKari SkoglandStarsAndrew LincolnNorman ReedusSteven YeunWeeks after the walker invasion, Rick and Daryl cross paths with Jesus, a mysterious man with many secrets. Meanwhile, Michonne helps Spencer find closure, as Carl recovers from his injury.9/10
Introduces a new character in a solid way and is a refreshing change of pace for the season - DirectorJeffrey F. JanuaryStarsAndrew LincolnNorman ReedusLauren CohanWounded after being separated from Abraham and Sasha, Daryl finds himself captive of three survivors on the run.8/10
A bit of a filler episode, but it has the excuse of having a solid plot and some good character interactions. - DirectorMichael E. SatrazemisStarsAndrew LincolnNorman ReedusSteven YeunJesus takes Rick and the group to the Hilltop Colony, a peaceful community overshadowed by the power of the Saviors.8/10
Slow at times, but in the end, it's solid foreshadowing for the upcoming conflict against the Saviors. - DirectorAlrick RileyStarsAndrew LincolnNorman ReedusSteven YeunWith medicine running low, Denise goes on a supply with Daryl and Rosita. Meanwhile, Eugene tries to prove himself to Abraham.7.5/10
Its ending and death is infuriating, but is still a decent episode as a whole because it delves more into the character of Denise. - DirectorMichael E. SatrazemisStarsAndrew LincolnNorman ReedusSteven YeunWith the walls down, Alexandria finds itself swarmed by walkers. Meanwhile, Daryl, Abraham and Sasha come face-to-face with a new danger.7/10
Sure. It's filler and it barely progresses the plot. But it was at least mildly enjoyable. - DirectorGreg NicoteroStarsAndrew LincolnNorman ReedusSteven YeunMorgan continues his search for Carol. Meanwhile, Rick and the group travel to the Hilltop with an ailing Maggie, leading to a daunting and life-changing confrontation.7/10
Yeah. Despite its *beep* cliffhanger, I actually don't think this is the worst episode like a lot of people. Its pacing was off and it didn't need to have an extended runtime, but its decent enough buildup for a really intense debut of our new villain. But like everyone, that cliffhanger pissed me off. - DirectorMichael SlovisStarsAndrew LincolnNorman ReedusSteven YeunWith half of the herd out of control, Glenn and Michonne lead Nicholas and their group back to Alexandria, as Rick crosses paths with the surviving members of the Wolves.7/10
Has its moments, but is mostly an overall meh episode with a fake out death that I think everyone in the world called *beep* on - DirectorDavid BoydStarsAndrew LincolnNorman ReedusSteven YeunGlenn and Enid make their way back to Alexandria. Meanwhile, Spencer puts his life at risk, as the herd finds its way inside the safe-zone.6.5/10
Mostly just filler. That's all I can really say about it. - DirectorGreg NicoteroStarsAndrew LincolnNorman ReedusSteven YeunRick and the group come up with a plan to lure a massive herd of walkers away from Alexandria, while flashbacks show the events following Pete's death, including Rick's reunion with Morgan.6/10
A very weak start to a season with a meandering pace and the introduction of a very uninteresting story line. - DirectorMichael E. SatrazemisStarsAndrew LincolnNorman ReedusSteven YeunRick and Morgan set out in the search for Carol. Meanwhile, Daryl and Rosita track down Dwight, as Glenn and Michonne fall into a trap.6/10
The Carol vs. Saviors scene was awesome, but as a whole, it just felt like they were separating members of the group just for the hell of it and they didn't do a very good job of disguising it. - DirectorAvi YouabianStarsAndrew LincolnNorman ReedusLauren CohanDeanna begins to question her leadership. Meanwhile, Maggie shares a secret with Aaron while searching for Glenn, as the herd approaches the safe-zone.5/10
Worst
Hands down one of the most boring hours of television I've ever seen. There was not a single moment of this episode where I was invested. People say Start to Finish and Last Day on Earth were the worst episodes and to them I say, "Dude. Did you even watch Now?"
