The 90's produced not only one of the greatest decades of R&B music, but also some of the most memorable artists our generation has ever seen, including Grand Rapids, Michigan native, International, Multi-Platinum, Award-winning R&B Icon Adina Howard.
1995 was a milestone year for Adina. Signed to Mecca Don/EastWest records, she struck certified gold and platinum with her no holds barred debut album "Do You Wanna Ride?" and her #2 Billboard Hot 100 single "Freak Like Me". That year Adina Howard became a global household name.
Howard is revered as one of the early pioneers of sexual expressionism for women of color. Her mega-hits "Freak Like Me" and "T-shirt and Panties" were more than just chart-topping singles, they were anthems for the sexually liberated.
Adina was widely ridiculed for her bold lyrics and provocative image. Though she was ahead of her time, she would not be detoured from being comfortable with her stance, if a man can do it, she can too. Howard helped pave the way for future urban female recording artists to embrace their sensual side and creatively express it through their artistry, freely.
In 1996, she collaborated with Warren G for the Police Story 3: Super Cop soundtrack with the single "What's Love Got to Do with It" featuring a sample of the Tina Turner hit. The single was another hit for Adina, peaking at #2 on the UK charts.
While working on her second album, Howard worked with actor/comedian, Jamie Foxx on the provocatively titled song, "T-shirt and Panties". Being the risk taker that she is, Adina wanted to lead with the rousing song as her first single from her forthcoming album "Welcome to Fantasy Island", but it was too racy for radio and the label shied away from promoting it. However, it found a home on the soundtrack to the film "Woo" featuring Jada Pinkett Smith and eventually was included on her third album, "The Second Coming". It became an R&B classic in the years following, becoming one of Adina's signature songs to perform.
In 1997, she prepared for the release of her sophomore album, "Welcome to Fantasy Island". It garnered critical raves and a moderate hit with the lead single, "(Freak) And U Know It", but was shelved by Elektra Records in 1997 due to conflict of interest. The album was leaked to the internet a few years later and promotional copies sold for hundreds of dollars on eBay.
In 2004, Adina's third studio album "The Second Coming" was released. Hampered by label woes, the success of the album was left to fate. Then in 2007, her fourth studio album "Private Show" was finally released after multiple delays. Due to the limited budget, the label had to work with "Private Show" didn't receive the push needed to garner attention.
On January 2010, Adina enrolled in Culinary school, temporarily putting her singing career on hold to pursue her passion for cooking. While she was working towards her Associate's degree in Culinary arts, she worked as a line cook at a Triple-A Four Diamond Resort in Chandler, AZ. In August 2011, Adina officially added another title to her belt, chef.
Resuming her singing career in 2013, Adina released her new single "Switch" which was to be the lead single off her fifth studio album, The Switch Up. It received positive reviews and won "Best Dance/Club Single of the Year" at the 2013 UB Honors, which was voted on by the public.
Aside from singing and songwriting, Adina has appeared in independent films such as Casanova's Demise, Poke the Sleeping Bear (Winner of Best Short, 2008 Solstice Film Festival) and the Relaxer. As well as appeared in the stage plays "Man of God"," Do You Trust Your Best Friend" and the stage reading "For All My Girls".
With all she has accomplished and continues to set out to achieve, Adina continues to find time to hit the studio and create future classics. In August 2015, she independently released the upbeat single "Bad 4 Me". This contemporary urban doo-wop-inspired ditty was a departure from what made her a household name.
Adina Howard has evolved as a woman and an artist. All that she has left behind to become who she is today can be heard on her new album "Resurrection", released digitally, March 2018.
Her socially conscience lead single "Blasphemy" has the nostalgic cadence of Lift Every Voice/Black American National Anthem woven into the melody. This urban battle cry encourages one to wake up and recognize the God within. Blasphemy is the perfect showcase for her legions of angels to hear her deliver vocals that's music to their ears and an empowering message that will inspire their soul.- Actor

Atsuko Tanaka was born on 14 November 1962 in Gunma, Japan. She is an actress, known for Ghost in the Shell (1995), Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence (2004) and Ghost in the Shell 2.0 (2008).- Her maternal grandfather, Frank W. Woolworth, founded the department store chain of the same name in New York at the turn of the century, with which he soon made a considerable fortune all over the world. Barbara Hutton therefore grew up in sheltered and wealthy circumstances. Her father died when she was a child; In May 1917, as a four-year-old, she found the body of her mother, Edna (née Woolworth), who had committed suicide in her suite at the Plaza Hotel in New York. As the sole heir, she became a millionaire several times over when her parents died at the age of seven. She was considered the richest woman in the world. Hutton made several trips around the world and met the Georgian prince Alexis Mdivani, whom she married in Paris in 1933. The relationship did not have a happy outcome. They were separated again after their honeymoon and divorced in 1935.
Hutton achieved the same failure with her subsequent marriages. In 1935 she married Count Kurt von Haugwitz-Hardenberg-Reventlow, with whom she lived in London and had their only child. Son Lance was born in 1936 and later had a career in automobile racing. When Hutton separated from her second husband in 1938, the son remained with the Count. This marriage ended in divorce in 1941. The wealthy woman's third marriage was to actor Cary Grant in 1942, with whom she remained married until 1945. Because she felt neglected by Grant, who was only concentrating on his film career, she caused the separation. The fourth marriage to Igor Trubetzkoj, a French prince of Russian descent, lasted from 1948 to 1951. This was followed by Hutton's fifth marriage in 1953: the relationship with the Dominican diplomat Porfirio Rubirosa, whom she had met in Paris, only lasted a few months and was broken off in the spring of 1954.
In 1955, Hutton entered into her sixth marriage to a long-time friend, the German tennis player Gottfried Freiherr von Cramm. In the beginning, she actually seemed to have found the right partner in Cramm. However, this relationship did not develop as desired, so it was dissolved in 1961. After a brief affair with the musician Lloyd Franklin, Hutton married Prince Raymond Doan Vinh of Laos for his seventh marriage. This last marriage lasted from 1964 to 1969. After the last divorce, Hutton retreated to California, where she spent the last years of her life in complete isolation and suffered from severe anorexia. In 1972, her son had a fatal accident in a car race. She couldn't get over the loss. Marked by the illness, she lived in a hotel in Los Angeles. - Benjamin was born in New York City. Chris Noonan was born on 14 November 1952 in Sydney, Australia. He is a writer and director, known for Babe (1995), Stepping Out (1980) and Miss Potter (2006).- Oscar-Claude Monet was born on November 14, 1840, in Paris, France. His father, named Adolphe Monet, was a grocer. His mother, named Louise-Justine Monet, was a singer. Young Monet grew up in Le Havre, Normandy. There he developed a reputation for the caricatures he loved to draw. He studied drawing with Jean-Francois Ochard, an apprentice of Jacques-Louis David. Then he studied painting 'en plein air' with marine painter 'Eugene Boudin'. After having served in the French Army in Algeria for two years, Monet was decommissioned after contracting a typhoid. In 1862, in Paris he joined the studio of Charles Gleyre, where he met Alfred Sisley, Frederic Bazille, and Pierre-Auguste Renoir.
In 1865 Monet submitted his painting to the official Salon for the first time. His 'Le dejeuner sur l'uerbe' (The Picnic 1865), depicting his lady friend Camille Doncieux and artist Bazille, was gently criticized by Courbet; Monet modified the painting, then, still unsatisfied, dismissed it from the show. In 1866, he painted Camille Doncieux as 'Camille, ou la femme a la robe verte' (Woman in the green Dress), and in 1867, she bore their first child, named Jean. Monet's paintings were treated as inferior at the Salon shows. In 1868 he made a suicide attempt. With the modest financial support from Frederic Bazille, Monet survived the first attack of depression. In 1870 he married Camille Doncieux and they settled in Argenteul. There he painted from a boat on the Seine River, capturing his impressions of the interplay of light, water and atmosphere.
Claude Monet became enthusiastic over the London landscapes, when he took refuge in England, to avoid the Franco-German War of 1870-1871. In London he was joined by his friend Camille Pissarro and the two artists continued painting landscapes. At that time Monet became interested in the paintings of William Turner in London museums. Turner's influence on Monet remained noticeable, especially in some later more vivdly chromatic paintings of the Thames, which he made during his visits to London in the 1890's and 1900's. In 1899, in London, Monet painted the river Thames in the series of paintings of the Houses of Parliament with the reflections of light in the river and fog. Then Monet said, "Without the fog, London would not be a beautiful city."
Monet's painting 'Impression, soleil levant' (Impression, Sunrise 1872) was untitled until the first show in 1874, in the Paris studio of photographer Nadar. A title was needed in a hurry for the catalogue. Monet suggested simply 'Impression'. The catalogue editor, Renoir's brother Edouard, added an explanatory 'Sunrise'. From the painting's title, art critic Louis leroy coined the term "Impressionism", which he intended to be derogatory. Monet's title came under criticism which seized upon the first word. Monet with Pierre-Auguste Renoir, Camille Pissarro, Alfred Sisley, were joined by Edgar Degas, and continued to exhibit together despite the financial failure of the first show.
Impressionists slowly gained recognition after 1880, when public begun to recognize the value of their works. In 1883 Monet was able to rent a house in Giverny, in Haute-Normandie. In 1890 Monet bought the house and expanded the garden into a beautifully landscaped park with a pond. There he painted many landscapes, and his water lily pond became the favorite subject of his paintings during the next 40 years of his life. Monet outlived his second wife and first son Jean. He suffered from cataracts, which affected his vision so that his later paintings had a general reddish tone. After two cataract surgeries in 1923, Monet even repainted some of the reddish paintings. He died on December 5, 1926, and was laid to rest at the Giverny church cemetery.
"My king is the sun, my republic is water, my people are flowers and leaves," said Claude Monet. He was the first artist to present his initial impressions as completed works. In 2004, his London painting 'Le Parlement, Effet de Brouillard' (The Parliament, Effects of Sun in the Fog. 1904), sold for over $20,000,000. - Actress

Few actors ever managed a complete image transition as thoroughly as did Dick Powell: in his case, from the boyish, wavy-haired crooner in musicals to rugged crime fighters in film noirs. Powell grew up in the town of Little Rock, Arkansas, one of three brothers (one of them, Howard, ended up as vice president of the Illinois Central Railroad). He worked his way through schooling, sidelining as a soda jerk and a grocery clerk before entering the world of show biz as a singer (tenor) and banjo player with the Royal Peacock Orchestra in Louisville, Kentucky. He then got a gig with the Charlie Davis band and toured with them throughout the mid-west, appearing at dance halls and picture theaters. He next worked as a master of ceremonies and this rounded him off as an entertainer even before he was signed by a Warner Brothers talent scout in 1932. Looking rather younger than his actual years, Powell soon found himself typecast as clean-cut singing juveniles in a series of exuberant musicals with lavish production numbers like 42nd Street (1933), one of two dozen similar pictures he made for the studio.
In 1935, Powell's salary amounted to $70,000. Two years later, he had become one of Hollywood's top ten box office stars, yet was paid just half of what he had earned as an MC. A keen businessman with an eye for profit, Powell had already invested wisely in land and property. When he left Warners in 1939 with no discernible acting opportunities in sight, he was in no way short of money. He was, however, desperate to escape his image, declaring "I knew I wasn't the greatest singer in the world and I saw no reason why an actor should restrict himself to any one particular phase of the business". He fairly jumped at the chance to act in non-singing roles, joining Paramount in 1940 to appear opposite Ellen Drew in the sparkling Preston Sturges comedy Christmas in July (1940). This was followed by two marital farces featuring his then-wife, Joan Blondell, both efforts receiving only a lukewarm response at the box-office. Still dissatisfied with lightweight roles, Powell lobbied hard to get the lead (eventually scored by Fred MacMurray) in Double Indemnity (1944) but was knocked back. Instead, he was slotted into more of the same fare, refused to comply and was suspended.
His box office credo now at a low ebb, Powell tried his luck at RKO and at last managed to secure a lucrative role: that of hard-boiled private eye Philip Marlowe in Raymond Chandler's Murder, My Sweet (1944). The author himself approved of the casting, though the director (Edward Dmytryk) fought off initial misgivings. The result proved nothing if not a tangible hit for RKO. Bosley Crowther of the New York Times remarked " ...and while he may lack the steely coldness and cynicism of a Humphrey Bogart, Mr. Powell need not offer any apologies. He has definitely stepped out of the song-and-dance, pretty-boy league with this performance". In short order, offers suddenly kept coming. Having successfully reinvented himself, Powell now found steady work on radio, respectively as "Richard Rogue" and then "Richard Diamond, Private Eye". In films, he remained on cue for wise-cracking tough guy roles in Cornered (1945) and Johnny O'Clock (1947). His most challenging role yet was as best-selling novelist James Lee Bartlow in MGM's epic drama The Bad and the Beautiful (1952)]. Powell also dabbled at directing, though he only helmed six pictures in total: among them a minor film noir, Split Second (1953)], and an above-average submarine drama, The Enemy Below (1957)]. Having quit film acting in the mid-50s, he began to concentrate primarily on producing TV drama as host and executive producer of his own award-winning anthology show, The Dick Powell Theatre (1961). He was also co-founder and managing director of Four Star Television (which had its studios where Republic had formerly existed and which would subsequently become CBS Cinema Center).
Dick Powell died prematurely of lung cancer in January 1963 at the age of 58. He was survived by his third wife, the actress June Allyson.- Digby Diehl was born on 14 November 1940 in Boonton, New Jersey, USA. He was a writer, known for Santa Barbara (1984), Livin' for Love: The Natalie Cole Story (2000) and Showcase '68 (1968). He was married to Kay Beyer. He died on 26 September 2017 in Los Angeles, California, USA.

- Don Stewart was born to George and Marian Stewart on November 14, 1935. He spent his youth in Nebraska with his older brother, George, and his younger brother and sister, Jack and Marilyn. He then moved to New York and began studying opera. He worked on and off Broadway, and even understudied for Robert Goulet in Camelot at a young age. He was in the Air Force as one of the youngest commanders, and then in the Navy and Naval Reserves. He flew fighter jets off of aircraft carriers, etc. He started working on television, and also began singing in night clubs. He has a wonderful and powerful voice. He spent many years as "Michael Bauer" on "The Guiding Light,' before branching out to do more movies, stage, commercials, voice-overs, etc. During all this he married Susan Tremble in 1970-something, and they had two daughters, Heather-Michelle and Genevra. They lived in Oakland, NJ while Don was filming the Guiding Light, then moved to Santa Barbara, CA in 1985. Don enjoyed playing tennis with friends, flying his airplane, working on his tractor at his house, and riding horses with his daughters. Don and Sue divorced in 1993 or so. Joshua David Duhamel was born in Minot, North Dakota. His mother, Bonny L., is a retired high school teacher, and the Executive Director of Minot's Downtown Business & Profession Association, and his father, Larry Duhamel, is an advertisement salesman. Josh has three younger sisters: Ashlee, McKenzee and Kassidy. His ancestry is German, and smaller amounts of Norwegian, French-Canadian, English, Irish, and Austrian (his last name is very common among Francophones in the world). Before his acting career, the football player studied biology and earned his Bachelor's degree at Minot State University with the intention of pursuing dentistry.
At 26 years old, Josh worked in construction, and it was by chance that he got into showbusiness. Modeling eventually gave way to acting as Josh was asked to audition for the title character in The Picture of Dorian Gray (2004), from the novel by Oscar Wilde.
Duhamel can be seen in Vince Gilligan and David Shore's CBS series, "Battle Creek." He is in production on four films: "Lost In The Sun," "Bravetown," "The Wrong Stuff," and "Beyond Deceit."
Duhamel also starred alongside Hillary Swank and Emmy Rossum in the George C. Wolfe directed drama, "You're Not You." Duhamel also starred opposite Julianne Hough in Lasse Hallstrom's "Safe Haven," a drama based on the best-selling novel by Nicholas Sparks and the thriller "Scenic Route," which tells the story of two friends stranded in the desert. In addition, Duhamel was seen in the star-studded, ensemble comedy "Movie 43" alongside Emma Stone, Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry, Kate Winslet, Richard Gere among many others. Co-directed by Peter Farrelly and Patrik Forsberg, the film features various intertwining, raunchy tales.
Other projects include Garry Marshall's "New Year's Eve" alongside Michelle Pfeiffer, Robert DeNiro, Halle Berry, and Hilary Swank and Michael Bay's "Transformers: Dark of the Moon," where he reprised his role of Captain William Lennox for the third installment of the franchise. Julie has also appeared in numerous commercials, magazine covers, TV shows including a stint on the The New Price Is Right (1994), and playmate Fear Factor (2001), and feature films. Most recently she starred in Watchful Eye (2002), Wolfhound (2002) and American Crime (2004).- Hollywood born and bred Kathleen Hughes posed for one of the most iconic publicity stills in show biz history. It depicts her wide-eyed, screaming and throwing up her hands in terror. This image has since been used on countless occasions and for diverse purposes ranging from birthday cards to the sale of hummus. It also became emblematic of the many alluring scream queens and femmes fatale portrayed by this blonde bombshell during her heyday as a B-movie star in the 1950s.
Kathleen was born Elizabeth Margaret von Gerkan of German ancestry. She attended Fairfax High School, City College and then studied at UCLA. She was instantly bitten by the acting bug after watching a movie with Donald O'Connor when she was thirteen years old. Moreover, her famous uncle, the playwright F. Hugh Herbert (author of The Moon is Blue) often took her along when visiting film sets which added to her fascination with Hollywood. Betty, as she was then called, went on to study drama at the Stella Adler School of Acting. In 1948, she was spotted by 20th Century Fox talent scout and producer Myron Selznick during a Little Theater stage production and signed to a seven year contract at $135 a week. Since producers at Fox deemed her birth name to be unsuitable for marquees, Betty took on the stage moniker Kathleen Hughes, an amalgam of her mother's first name and her uncle's surname.
As a starlet, her contract with Fox required her to be little more than ornamental. After a series of lackluster bit parts and no-name roles, Kathleen -- feeling very much underused -- left the studio after just three years. She was, however, fortunate to soon find a mentor in Paul Henreid, who gave her career a kick-start by casting her as a captivating blonde in his independently produced drama For Men Only (1952). Writer/producer Don McGuire saw the picture and helped her secure a new contract with Universal-International in 1952. Wanting to work "as much as possible", Kathleen accepted a small, but (as it turned out to be) famous role in the 3D cult sci-fi feature It Came from Outer Space (1953). She got on well with the director Jack Arnold (whose first foray into the genre this was) and already knew her co-star Richard Carlson, the Carlsons having been long-standing friends of her uncle.
In her next outing, the adventure film The Golden Blade (1953), Kathleen (playing a handmaiden in ancient Baghdad) gave her co-star Rock Hudson his first on-screen kiss. Her build-up gained further momentum with the publicity generated by being named 'First 3D Cheesecake Girl' by Hollywood press correspondents and then 'Miss Cheesecake of 1953' by the Army publication Stars and Stripes.
Kathleen received third billing in arguably her most important film (and her own personal favorite), The Glass Web (1953) (also directed by Arnold). This minor film noir with a TV studio setting had Kathleen playing an actress who just happened to be bad to the bone, blackmailing one guy (philanderer John Forsythe) and stringing along another (Edward G. Robinson, as an infatuated TV writer). Her character is unsurprisingly bumped off by Nr.2, who then implicates Nr.1 and concocts a seemingly clever script based on the crime. The Glass Web garnered mixed reviews, though Bosley Crowther of The New York Times wrily commented: "Kathleen Hughes, who plays the blonde number, makes a dainty dish of poison". In very similar vein, she next chewed up the scenery as a seriously unhinged dame and the 'baddest 'of Three Bad Sisters (1956) (in one scene merrily horsewhipping one of her siblings). Kathleen commented in her later interviews that she had quite relished being typed as shady ladies, sirens and women of mystery.
The 1970s and 80s saw her steadily employed in television, albeit in smaller roles, often as secretaries or nurses. She made recurring appearances in NBC's Bracken's World (1969) (as Mitch) and in The Ghost & Mrs. Muir (1968) (Mrs. Coburn), both produced by her husband. Kathleen was also briefly glimpsed in a home movie sent to Korea as Henry Blake's wife Lorraine in an episode of M*A*S*H (1972). Her final screen credit was in 2018.
During her later years, Kathleen involved herself in a wide range of philanthropic endeavours, supporting research into cancer and Alzheimer's disease, helping to fund children's hospitals and donating to educational organizations, such as the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television.
In July 1954, Kathleen had married the producer Stanley Rubin. Their union -- an exceedingly happy one by Hollywood standards -- endured for 59 years, until his death in March 2014 at the age of 96. The couple had four children and resided in the exclusive Bird Streets neighbourhood of Los Angeles in a house built for them by the architect Richard Frazer in 1956. - Producer

She was always compared to her Lulu role in Pandora's Box (1929), which was filmed in 1928. Her performances in A Girl in Every Port (1928) and Beggars of Life (1928), both filmed in 1928, proved to all concerned that Louise had real talent. She became known, mostly, for her bobbed hair style. Thousands of women were attracted to that style and adopted it as their own. As you will note by her photographs, she was no doubt the trend setter of the 1920s with her Buster Brown-Page Boy type hair cut, much like today's women imitate stars. Because of her dark haired look and being the beautiful woman that she was, plus being a modern female, she was not especially popular among Hollywood's clientele. She just did not go along with the norms of the film society. Louise really came into her own when she left Hollywood for Europe. There she appeared in a few German productions which were very well made and continued to prove she was an actress with an enduring talent. Until she ended her career in film in 1938, she had made only 25 movies. After that, she spent most of her time reading and painting. She also became an accomplished writer, authoring a number of books, including her autobiography. On August 8, 1985, Louise died of a heart attack in Rochester, New York. She was 78 years old.- Louise Huff was born on 14 November 1895 in Columbus, Georgia, USA. She was an actress, known for Seventeen (1916), T'Other Dear Charmer (1918) and Heart of Gold (1919). She was married to Edwin A. Stillman. She died on 22 August 1973 in New York City, New York, USA.

She became a notable vocalist of the Big Band Era and known around the circuit as the "Liltin' Miss Martha Tilton." Born on November 14, 1915, this trim, Texas-born blonde was the fortunate product of a musical family, with her parents actively playing the piano and singing at home while she grew up. The family moved to Los Angeles when Martha was but seven months old. With a naturally gifted voice, she began as an unpaid teen singer on local radio but it wasn't long before she attracted an agent and started getting paid bookings at such venues as the Coconut Grove with Al Lippan's band.
Martha eventually joined singer Jo Stafford and others to form a swing chorus for Benny Goodman on his radio show. She became Goodman's lead vocalist after his former girl singer parted ways, and hit the big time with the song "And the Angels Sing." She stayed with Goodman for over three years recording, performing one-nighters and singing on the airwaves. In 1942, Martha became one of the first artists to record for Capitol Records, staying with the company until 1949. During the war years she also appeared in a handful of movies and was prominently featured in Swing Hostess (1944) and Crime, Inc. (1945). Other movies coming her way usually featured her as a specialty singer as opposed to incorporating her into the plot. Songs from some of those movies included lovely renditions of "Let's Capture That Moment," "What a Fool I Was," "I'm Guilty" and "Say It With Love."
In later years she earned her own radio programs ("Liltin' Martha Tilton Time") and proceeded solidly into the 1950s, often finding TV singing work to supplement her income. Some of her bigger recording hits included "How Are Things in Glocca Mora," "Time After Time," "I Should Care," "A Stranger in Town," and "I'll Walk Alone." Martha married an aerospace executive in 1953, yet continued her career and appeared as a guest vocalist in the Goodman biopic The Benny Goodman Story (1956) starring Steve Allen reprising her solid hit "And the Angels Sing." Within a few years she retired permanently to raise three children.- Matt Cedeño was born on 14 November 1973 in Moses Lake, Washington, USA. McLean Stevenson began in show business at age 31. During the 1960s, he worked in night clubs and comedy cabarets, did summer stock theater and some television before moving to Hollywood, where he worked as a comedy writer for Tom Smothers. He eventually began acting in sketches. Mr. Stevenson is best known as the fumbling commanding officer, Lt. Colonel Henry Blake, on the CBS television series, M*A*S*H (1972). Over a period of thirty years, he also appeared on a number of television series and was a regular guest star on Johnny Carson's The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson (1962) and the game show, The Hollywood Squares (Daytime) (1965).- Michael Robbins (14 November 1930 - 11 December 1992) was an English actor and comedian best known for his on-going role as Arthur Rudge in the TV sitcom and film versions of On the Buses (1969-72).
Born in London, Robbins was a bank clerk who became an actor after appearing in amateur dramatic performances in Hitchin, Hertfordshire, where he and his family lived at the time. Robbins made his television debut as the cockney soldier in Roll-on Bloomin' Death. Primarily a comedy actor, he is best remembered for the role of Arthur Rudge, the persistently sarcastic husband of Olive (Anna Karen), in the popular sitcom On the Buses (1969-73). Robbins and Karen provided the secondary comic storyline to Reg Varney's comedy capers at the bus depot. Robbins also appeared in the series film spin-offs, On the Buses, Mutiny on the Buses, and Holiday on the Buses. His other comedy credits include non-recurring roles in Man About the House, The Good Life, One Foot in the Grave, The New Statesman, George and Mildred, Hi-de-Hi! and You Rang, M'Lord?. He appeared as a rather humorously portrayed police sergeant in the TV adaptation of Brendon Chase.
As well as these comic roles, he assumed various straight roles in some of the major British television shows of the 1960s and 1970s: including Minder, The Sweeney, Z-Cars, Return of the Saint, Murder Most English, The Avengers, Dixon of Dock Green, The Bill and the 1982 Doctor Who story The Visitation.
Robbins's film credits included The Whisperers, Up The Junction, The Looking Glass War, Zeppelin and Blake Edwards' films The Pink Panther Strikes Again and Victor/Victoria'. He also had an extensive career as a radio actor, including a role in the soap opera Waggoner's Walk and the satirical 1970s show Life is What Yer Make It.
Robbins was an indefatigable worker for charity and the Catholic Stage Guild; and received a Papal Award for his services in 1987. In one of his last television appearances, in A Little Bit of Heaven Robbins recalled his childhood visits to Norfolk and spoke of his faith and love of the Shrine of Our Lady at Walsingham.
In the mid-1970s he also directed a film: How Are You?
Robbins was married to actress Hal Dyer from 1960 until he died from cancer in Caterham, Surrey, in late 1992 aged 62. Robbins was survived by his two children and four grandchildren. Hal Dyer almost 20 years later died in 2011 from a brain hemorrhage. - Actress

Olga Kurylenko is a Ukrainian-French actress and model, went from sharing a cramped flat with her aunt, uncle, grandparents and cousin to starring as a Bond girl opposite Daniel Craig.
She was born Olga Konstantinovna Kurylenko on November 14, 1979, in Berdyansk, Ukraine, Soviet Union. Her mother, Marina Alyabysheva, divorced her father, Konstantin Kurylenko, soon after her birth. After the divorce her mother struggled to survive as an art teacher. Young Olga was brought up by her mother and her grandmother, Raisa. During her youth Olga had the humbling experience of living in poverty; she had no choice but to wear rags and had to darn the holes on her sweater. During her years in Ukraine she studied art and languages and spent seven years studying piano at a local school of music in Berdyansk. She also went to a ballet studio until 13.
At age 13 Olga and her mother made a trip to Moscow. There she was spotted by an agent, who approached her at a subway station and offered her a job as a model. Initially Olga's mother was suspicious, but she checked the agent's credentials and eventually allowed Olga to accept training as a model in Moscow, which turned out to be a good career choice.
By age 16 she was ready for the next step. She moved to Paris, learned French in six months and was signed by the Madison agency. At age 18 she appeared on the cover of Glamour, and in short order graced the covers of Elle, Madame Figaro, Marie Claire, and Vogue. She also became the face of Lejaby lingerie, Bebe clothing, Clarins and Helena Rubinstein cosmetic companies.
In 1999 Olga married French photographer Cedric Van Mol, but divorced him 3-1/2 years later. One day Olga presented herself to an acting agency. Eventually she swapped the catwalk for the movie screen, and her acting career took off. In 2005 she made her film debut as "Iris", a sensual beauty, in The Ring Finger (2005), by director Diane Bertrand.
Olga's cinematic roles have been notably steamy, and her natural beauty and explicit nudity attracted the attention of the male audiences. She appeared opposite Elijah Wood in Paris, I Love You (2006) and as "Sofia" in The Snake (2006), then co-starred as Russian beauty "Nika Boronina" opposite Timothy Olyphant in Hitman (2007). She also appeared as "Mina Harud" in the indie surveillance-thriller Tyranny (2008). On Christmas Eve 2007, Olga was offered to play what will become her biggest hit: co-starring as "Camille", the Bond girl, opposite Daniel Craig in Quantum of Solace (2008), a sequel to Casino Royale (2006).
With the international success as Bond Girl, Olga also made appearances on various TV productions in Russia and Ukraine. In 2012, Olga Kurylenko was cast as Julia, supporting role in the Sci-Fi adventure Oblivion (2013) opposite Tom Cruise and Morgan Freeman.- Olga Nani was born on 14 November 1976 in Villa María, Córdoba, Argentina. Patrick Warburton is known to many for the role of "Puddy" in the hit NBC comedy "Seinfeld," the laconic, enigmatic, quirky Saab salesman and Elaine's boyfriend. Warburton starred for 7 seasons on the hit CBS comedy "Rules of Engagement" with David Spade, Oliver Hudson, and Megyn Price about two couples and their single friend, all at different stages in their relationships dealing with the complications of dating, commitment, and marriage. He is now set to star in NBC's newest sitcom series entitled "Crowded," premiering Sunday, March 20th, about an empty nest couple (Warburton & Carrie Preston) who find out their adult daughters want to move back home with them. Patrick also played "Guy" in the international blockbuster comedy Ted and recently completed shooting the highly anticipated sequel Ted 2 where he reprises his role. Warburton starred on the ABC hit comedy "Less than Perfect," as "Jeb Denton," an opinionated network anchorman; and on the hit show "NewsRadio" as "Johnny Johnson" the unscrupulous business rival who takes over the station. Warburton starred in Disney's major motion picture, live action comedy Underdog, as the archenemy "Cad," based on the 1964 cartoon television series. He is also perhaps the busiest voiceover artist in Hollywood for his many characters including the role of the paraplegic and over-zealous cop, "Joe Swanson," on the hit comedy "Family Guy."
Warburton was the lead in the independent film The Civilization of Maxwell Bright, in which he stared as a vicious and self-destructive anti-hero who desperately needs to save his soul. The film won numerous festival awards in which Warburton captured Best Actor at the Beverly Hills Film Festival, New York VisionFest, and the Boulder International Film Festival. The film's other honors include Viewer's Choice at the Beverly Hills Film Festival, the Special Jury Award at WorldFest Houston and at the Florida Film Festival, Grand Jury Prize at the Florida Film Festival, and the Vision Award for David Beaird at WorldFest Houston. This festival favorite is essentially a modern re-telling of "Beauty and the Beast" that explores what happens when a modern Neanderthal is locked in close proximity with a kind and loving woman. Written and directed by David Beaird, The Civilization of Maxwell Bright co-stars Jennifer Tilly, Marie Matiko, Simon Callow and Eric Roberts. In addition, Warburton starred in the independent feature film I'll Believe You alongside Fred Willard, Thomas Gibson, and Chris Elliott, a comedy for young adults/teens about a hunt for an alleged alien living in a small town after a mysterious phone call is received on a radio broadcast. The film was released in April of 2007 to 1,500 theaters nationwide, quite the accomplishment for a small independent film.
To complement his animated films, Warburton voiced the hit cartoon series "Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated" and the animated feature Bee Movie with Jerry Seinfeld, Renée Zellweger, Uma Thurman and Oprah Winfrey. He played the character "Rip Smashenburn" in the UPN animated series "Game Over," the voice of "Brock Samson" in the animated adult series "The Venture Brothers," and the voice of "Mr. Barkin" on the Disney Channel's "Disney's Kim Possible." He plays the character of Ian, "the ultimate alpha-male," in the Sony animated film Open Season opposite Ashton Kutcher and Martin Lawrence. Playing in both regular theaters and Imax 3-D, it was a box office smash on its opening week as #1 and held top spots following its debut. Warburton's voice can also be heard alongside that of Sarah Michelle Geller, Sigourney Weaver, George Carlin, Andy Dick, and Freddie Prinze Jr. in the animated feature film Happily N'ever After, from the producers of Shrek, where he plays the voice of "Prince Humperdink." As the voice of the "Savior of the Universe" in Disney's animated Saturday morning TV series "Buzz Lightyear," Warburton's voice graced the big screen in the Disney animated film The Emperor's New Groove, Kronks New Groove and "The Emperor's New School."
Warburton started his television career appearing regularly on the CBS sitcom "Dave's World," with Harry Anderson and Mesach Taylor and originally guest-starred on "Seinfeld" as the painted-faced New Jersey Devils' fan and Jerry's mechanic, only to become one of the show's funniest fixtures. He also did commercial spots for American Express (as the voice of "Superman" alongside Seinfeld), Cadillac, and M&Ms. Warburton starred in The Woman Chaser, which received critical acclaim at the prestigious New York Film Festival and The Sundance Film Festival, as well as opposite Sam Neill in The Dish, an Australian production about the first man on the moon. Barry Sonnenfeld directed Warburton in the Columbia Tri Star half-hour comedy "The Tick," which continues to have a huge cult following since its release on DVD. The show gained its popularity with audiences due to its relaxed, adult-friendly comedy. "The Tick", in addition to the DVD, has released action figures, t-shirts, and Quaker Oat Life cereal boxes with "The Tick" character adorning the cover. He also paired up with Tim Allen in Sonnenfeld's feature films Big Trouble and Joe Somebody, and also appeared in Scream 3 and Men in Black 2.

Aside from being Benjamin Bratt's brother, Peter Bratt is a growing force in his own right. With his critically acclaimed independent first feature film Follow Me Home (1996), he dared to explore race and identity from the multiple and intersecting perspectives of Chicanos, African Americans, and Native Americans. When no major studio would distribute this film, Henri Norris, an African American woman who was an attorney then engaged in malpractice litigation, created New Millennia Films so that Bratt's film and message could reach a significant audience. Bratt was honored for his artistic genius with a 2000 Rockefeller Foundation Film/Video/Multimedia Fellowship, further demonstrating that he is poised to become one of the twenty first century's major filmmakers.- Blue-eyed, blonde, demure-looking 50s leading lady, the daughter of screenwriter Stephen Morehouse Avery and his wife Evelyn. Phyllis was said to have spent her childhood in France and in California. After graduating, she studied acting at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and first appeared on Broadway in 'Orchids Preferred' in 1937. Her screen debut happened quite a long time later in Queen for a Day (1951), adapted from a popular daytime Mutual Broadcasting Company radio program. In her next film, the high voltage melodrama Ruby Gentry (1952), she was cast as 'the other woman' (the one of 'socially acceptable' standing) opposite muscular Charlton Heston and fiery Jennifer Jones. Her only other notable big screen outing was the musical biopic The Best Things in Life Are Free (1956) in which she played the wife of composer/songwriter Ray Henderson. When interviewed, Phyllis balked at being called 'sweet' and proudly proclaimed to have played plenty of bad girls, at least on television (citing an episode of Peter Gunn (1958) in which she tries to frame her gangster husband for murder). Still, she remained typically featured as wholesome gals, never more so than as Peggy McNutley (the name was changed to 'McNulty' in season 2), wife of a punctilious, hopelessly absent-minded English and Drama (Ray Milland) professor at a fictitious all-girls college in The Ray Milland Show (1953). Phyllis continued her career as a prolific guest star of TV anthologies and crime dramas and reinvented herself as a successful real estate broker in west L.A. during the 60s (often selling houses to people she had worked with in her acting past). Her second husband was Don Taylor with whom she had once co-starred on Broadway in a 1943 U.S. Army Air Forces production of 'Winged Victory'.
