The twins have a brother, Clay. He was seen occasionally on "Little House on the Prairie". Their mother was Carole Kay Bush.
Lindsay and Sidney had their first break sharing the role of Jill Hayden in the 1973 television film "Sunshine" with Cliff DeYoung. After the film wrapped, Michael Landon was casting for his series called "Little House on the Prairie" (based on the series of books by Laura Ingalls Wilder). The Director of "Sunshine", Joseph Sargent, recommended the twins for the role of the youngest daughter Carrie Ingalls. Finally, Landon met them and signed them immediately.
On March 30, 1974 the pilot of "Little House" premiered on NBC, and it was a hit. Six months after the success of the pilot, it had turned into a weekly series. The series premiered on September 11, 1974, and it was a hit as well. In the series, they are billed as Lindsay Sidney Greenbush. The first season, ended with the show at #13 in the ratings. The Carrie character was limited, and fans of the series wanted to see more of her. During the show's success, the twins (along with co-stars Melissa Gilbert and Melissa Sue Anderson) built a fan base across the country.
For the ninth season, Michael Landon decided to take "Little House" in a new direction, and the show was re-tooled as "Little House: A New Beginning". The twins' absence was explained by having the Ingalls family (except Laura) move to Burr Oak, Iowa, to build a much better life.
After the sisters' departure from "Little House" in 1982, Lindsay guest starred in "Matt Houston" in 1983. She portrayed a victim of abuse. Sidney starred as Amy McVickers on "Hillie and Hambone" in 1984 with the late Alan Hale.

Carter wrote back, expressing her desire to have them visit the White House, and off they went. Amy told them that "Little House" was her favorite show, so the twins gave her a gift: a portrait of the cast.

German twin sisters Alice and Ellen Kessler reached the peak of their popularity in the 1950s and 60s. Their parents, mechanical engineer Paul Kessler and his wife Elsa, encouraged their daughters' artistic inclinations from early childhood and enrolled them in ballet classes. By 1950, the sisters had graduated from opera school in Leipzig. Soon after, they took advantage of a visiting permit by defecting from their native Saxony in the GDR to West Germany. At the Düsseldorf Palladium, the duo made their professional debut as singer/dancers and began to be featured on screen in several German musicals and romances. In 1955, Alice and Ellen were recruited by the director of the Paris Lido, Pierre Louis-Guérin, to join his Bluebell Girls in Varieté on the Champs-Élysées. Blonde, unusually tall (at 1.78cm) and long-legged, the twins enjoyed great popularity during their five-year long tenure on the Parisian stage.
In 1959, Alice and Ellen represented West Germany at The Eurovision Song Contest (1959), reaching 8th place. In the early sixties, they made several recordings for the Polydor label in German, French and Italian, which were modestly successful. They fared better after becoming featured performers on the Italian RAI TV musical program Studio Uno (1961), their rendition of "Dadaumpa" being adopted as the show's theme song. In 1962, the twins had settled in Italy where they attained iconic status as 'Le gemelle Kessler'. The following year saw them on the cover of Life Magazine. At the age of 40, Alice and Ellen posed nude on the cover of the Italian edition of Playboy Magazine which sold out in record time.
Between 1963 and the early seventies, their popularity extended to the other side of the Atlantic, the twins performing as guests on variety shows like The Red Skelton Hour (1951), The Danny Kaye Show (1963), The Hollywood Palace (1964) and (multiple times) on The Ed Sullivan Show (1948). In private life, the Kesslers rebuffed many advances from various prominent American actors (including Elvis). An exception was a brief liaison between Ellen and Burt Lancaster, chronicled in 1996 for the German Stern magazine. Having decided to remain single, the twins moved back to Germany in 1986 to set up residence in the affluent suburb of Geiselgasteig, the 'Bavarian Hollywood', near Munich. Still inseparable, their apartments are said to be divided only by a sliding door.
The Kessler Twins have received multiple awards, including Montreux's Rose D'or and the Order of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany.- Actress

Karissa Strain is a Canadian actress who commonly works alongside her twin sister, Katie Strain. They have most notably made appearances in the genre of horror, sci-fi and dark comedy in projects such as Space Channels "Todd and The Book of Pure Evil", the Syfy show "Wynonna Earp" and MGM's adaptation of "Carrie". It wasn't long before they took their love of the film World from being on screen to off. The sisters also love comedy, being big fans of Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly, they have always fancied themselves the "female versions" and have created/performed a variety of sketch characters mixed with burlesque in live shows around Toronto and LA in the classic SNL styling. Kat & Karissa joined together to form "KarKat Productions" in order to bring their passion for storytelling to life as film makers with various web content on their Youtube channel "KarKat TV", their Instagram page (newly changed to) "@sistersstrain" as well as short films that have been accepted to and won awards at film festivals all over the World. Although it was enough to whet their appetite for the World of film, it was only the beginning of their film making journey. Their hunger to be at the heart of the stories they help tell has recently launched them into new goals of switching their intentions from acting in other people's projects to bringing to life works of their own. "The Sisters Strain" have switched their gears to writing/directing though a line up of projects they are hoping to produce in the coming years with a team as passionate as they are!- Actress

Identical twins, writers, directors, actors even stunt players, the Soska sisters have always loved twisted film. Even at an early age, they devoured Stephen King novels, one after another as fast as they could read - and snuck into the over 18 sections at video stores, to critique the bloody images on the backs VHS horror movies and in gore magazines.
They both entered the film industry, acting and doing background work - and were soon unsatisfied with stereotypical roles that were commonly offered to identical twins. To expand their horizons, they trained in martial arts in hopes to pick-up stunt roles and briefly attended a film school that included an intensive stunt program. For one of the school's final film projects, their prepared short film had it's funding misappropriated and their short was pulled from the program. Undeterred, they decided to go ahead with it anyway, getting a new cast and crew and paying for it out of their own pockets. The title of that project was 'Dead Hooker In A Trunk'.
'Dead Hooker In A Trunk' - their debut film, which the twins wrote, directed, produced, starred in, and performed the stunts. Using Robert Rodriguez's book, Rebel Without A Crew - a bible for how film-making could be done on a modest budget, armed only with creativity and ambition. Even following the spirit of El Mariachi, the twins' story reached the original El Mariachi, actor Carlos Gallardo - who not only gave the ladies advice, but appeared in the film - as God. The completed film - embraced by horror fans, film festivals, and critics - became an underground sensation, called "a hidden gem in indie film-making" and "a cult classic in the waiting", and won multiple awards: Pollygrind's Favorite Feature, Best Screenplay, City of Death's Best Director Award, and Cinefantasy's Audience Favorite Prize.
In 2008 the twins incorporated, Twisted Twins Productions -- to create their own label for many future projects to come, including their highly anticipated second feature, American Mary, an analogy of their own struggles in the film industry. American Mary has gone on to win numerous praise and awards. The film has gone on to become a cult classic and the various costumes of the lead character Mary Mason a Halloween and horror convention favorite for cos-players.
The Soska Sisters have gone on to be very outspoken about equal rights across the board including but not limited to gender equality and equal rights for the LGBT community. They're actively involved in promoting blood donation and create a new PSA for it every February. And they are only just getting started.
2014 was a big year with the Soska Sisters bringing a new life to See No Evil 2 where they resurrect the WWE Studios franchise with WWE Superstar Glenn "Kane" Jacobs reprising his role as Jacob Goodnight and scream queens Danielle Harris and Katharine Isabelle appear together for the first time. As well, the Twins will be one of the all star director line up for ABCs of Death 2 in a segment that will shock and be destined for cult status. Their segment, T is for Torture Porn, has since been banned in Germany.
In 2015, the twins did a genre jump, teaming again with Lionsgate and WWE Studios, with a action revenge thriller called Vendetta to star, Dean Cain, Paul 'Big Show' Wight, and Michael Eklund. The high action, ultra gory nature of the film proved that the sisters are not one trick ponies as they expand their sensibilities to this Justin Shady written, men's prison revenge flick.
Avid comic book fans, the Soska Sisters have teamed up with Daniel Way (Deadpool, Daken) to create their own very graphic novel entitled Kill-Crazy Nymphos Attack! with artist Rob Dumo & cover artist Dave Johnson which is a pitch black satire on patriarchal society and women's roles within it. The very graphic novel is set with a 2017 release date.
September 16th, 2015, also marks the release of Jen & Sylvia Soska's first collaboration with Marvel comics with their Night Nurse story line 'The Risk of Infection' featured in Secret Wars Journal #5. The Soska twins have been long time fans of Marvel Comics and been quite vocal in their interests to tackle the adaptation of one of their stories for the big screen with them at the helm as directors. In April it was announced that the twins would be teaming with Marvel again, this time writing 'The Ripley' as a Guardians of the Galaxy story featured in Guardians of Infinity #8.
The mediums that the twins take on ever expanding, the Soska Sisters are the hosts of the survival horror game-show called Hellevator that premiered October 21 2015 on GSN. The show is a creation from Blumhouse, GSN, Matador, and Lionsgate. The show just enjoyed it's second season and received even more attention when it was made available on VOD through Netflix and Hulu proving that evil twins continue to have a rich history with elevators and scaring people.
In February 2016, the directing duo of Jen and Sylvia Soska came on board to direct a remake of David Cronenberg's 1977 zombie thriller Rabid. John Vidette's Somerville House Releasing entered into a joint venture with Paul Lalonde and Michael Walker to produce a feature film and original TV series based on the 1977 Canadian horror film.
December 11, 2016 will mark the twins' company, Twisted Twins Productions' 8 year anniversary which will have them with 4 feature films, 2 graphic novels, a series of blood donation PSAs, and a television show. Not too shabby for a pair of twins from Canada who set their sites on shaking up the entertainment industry playing by their own rules and leaving a hefty cinematic body count in their wake.- Director

Madeleine (known professionally as Madeline) Fairbanks was born on November 15, 1900, in New York City. Along with her twin sister Marion Fairbanks, she began her acting career on the stage, starring in such productions as "Claudia", "The Prince Chap", "Mary Jane's Pa", "The Piper", "Snow White", "The Blue Bird" and countless others at the New Theatre and the Little Theatre in New York City. The twins first entered films with Biograph around 1910, but due to Biograph's policy of not revealing the names of their players, they received little publicity. In 1912 they joined the Thanhouser Film Corporation (which was conveniently located in New Rochelle, allowing them to commute each day from their home in New York City), where they were billed as "The Thanhouser Twins". Their first film at Thanhouser was (naturally) The Twins (1912). They continued to divide their time between stage and screen and in 1917 joined the cast of the Ziegfeld Follies, where they remained for several years. In 1921, while the twins were appearing at the George M. Cohan Theatre in "Two Little Girls in Blue", they signed with Cosmopolitan Productions for parts in the upcoming film The Beauty Shop (1922), to be released by Paramount. In 1923 Madeline announced she would devote her time to the pursuit of serious dramatic roles, while her sister Marion would remain in musical revues. Madeline appeared in "Mercenary Mary", "The Grab Bag" and "The Ritz Revue", but by 1924 the twins were eager to work together again and they reunited for the stage production of George White's "Scandals". In 1937 Madeline married Leonard Sherman and they had one daughter, Kate. The couple were divorced in 1947. Marion and her twin sister Madeline Fairbanks were born on November 15, 1900 in New York City. Their mother, 'Jennie (known professionally as Jane) Fairbanks' was also an actress and their father was the son of a Civil War veteran. The twins began their career on the stage in such productions as "Alias Jimmy Valentine", "Mother", "Salomy Jane", "Mrs. Wiggs of the Cabbage Patch" and coutless others before they entered films with Biograph circa 1910. They joined the Thanhouser Film Corporation in 1912 where they were known as "The Thanhouser Twins", and remained there until 1916. Their time was divided between stage and screen and in 1917 they began a run of several years with the Ziegfeld Follies. In 1923, Madeline decided to pursue dramatic roles, while Marion continued in musical revues, touring in the title role with the "Little Nellie Kelly" company in 1924. By this time however, the girls were anxious to reunite and they were rejoined on the stage in George White's "Scandals". In 1927 Marion married former Yale football star 'McCormick Steele', but within a few years the marriage had turned sour, and was a favorite topic for the gossip columns. They divorced and she married Ray Smith. This union also ended in divorce, and she married for a third and final time, to William Delph. She succeeded 'Eleanor King' as the leading lady in "Whistling in the Dark" at the Waldorf Theatre in New York City in 1932. But by the mid-thirties she was slowing down considerably in her acting career, turning instead to the beauty industry, opening a beauty parlor and directing a branch of a cosmetics company. In her later years she suffered from many problems, including addiction to alcohol. Marion Fairbanks died on September 20, 1973 at the age of 72. Having no children, her sister Madeline was her only survivor.- Erica Mongeon was born on 18 February 1981 in Pennsylvania, USA. - Lovely, sunny, and vibrant blonde bombshell Patricia Barnstable was born on May 23, 1951 in Louisville, Kentucky. She's the identical twin sister of Cyb Barnstable and the daughter of Dale and Wilma Barnstable. Patricia graduated from Seneca High School in Louisville, Kentucky in 1969. In 1971 she was entered into a beauty contest by her mother; she won the title Miss Kentucky in said contest and was the fifth place runner-up in the Mis USA pageant. Barnstable attended the University of Kentucky, where she earned degrees in both speech and theater. Patricia began her career in show business in 1972 along with her sister Cyb singing and dancing in Bob Hope's last USO Christmas tour of Vietnam. Moreover, both siblings appeared in TV commercials for Doublemint Gum and are featured together on the covers of a handful of national magazines that include Redbook and Good Housekeeping. Patricia and Cyb both portrayed spaceship pilots named Betty -- one's a clone and the other is human -- on the hilarious, but sadly short-lived science fiction comedy series "Quark." In addition, the Barnstable sisters also acted together on episodes of the television shows "The Love Boat" and "Walt Disney's Wonderful World of Color" as well as the made-for-TV movie "Operating Room." Patricia is the co-founder of the Barnstable Brown Foundation along with her sister Cyb and mother Wilma; this organization has raised over $2 million for Diabetes Research. She's the mother of a son, Christopher. Patricia still lives in her hometown of Louisville, Kentucky and serves along with her sister Cyb as hostess for the annual Kentucky Derby Eve party.
