Four teenage boys enter a pact to lose their virginity by prom night.
DirectorPaul WeitzStarsJason BiggsChris KleinThomas Ian Nicholas
American Pie is a 1999 teen comedy film written by Adam Herz. American Pie was the directorial film debut of brothers Paul and Chris Weitz, and the first film in the American Pie film series. The film was a box-office hit and spawned three direct sequels: American Pie 2 (2001), American Wedding (2003) and American Reunion (2012). The film concentrates on four boys who make a pact to lose their virginity before their high school graduation. The title is borrowed from the folk song of the same name and refers to a scene in the film, in which the lead character is caught masturbating with a pie after being previously told that third base feels like "warm apple pie". It's also been stated by writer Adam Herz that the title also refers to the quest of losing your virginity in high school, which is as "American as apple pie."

Cameron James (Gordon-Levitt), a new student at Padua Stadium High School, is given a tour of the school by Michael Eckman (Krumholtz), an A.V. geek. During the tour, Cameron notices the beautiful and popular Bianca Stratford (Oleynik) and he is immediately smitten with her. Michael warns Cameron that Bianca is shallow and conceited, and that her father does not allow her to date. However, Michael does inform Cameron that Bianca is looking for a French tutor.

At the Stratford residence, Bianca's outcast older sister, Kat (Stiles), is in conflict with their overprotective father (Miller), who wants Kat to attend college nearby despite her acceptance to Sarah Lawrence College. Bianca is also fighting with their father regarding his strict no-dating rule. Kat's aversion to dating prompts their father to come up with a new rule, to Bianca's fury: Bianca can only date if Kat is also dating.

Cameron starts tutoring Bianca (despite knowing little French himself). After Cameron makes a failed attempt to ask her out on a date, she informs him of her father’s rule. This motivates Cameron and Michael to find a boy who is willing to date Kat.

When Zack's famous girlfriend, Taylor, cheats on him with another boy and parts ways with him, he makes a bet with his friends to turn a socially inept Laney into their high school's next prom queen.
DirectorRobert IscoveStarsFreddie Prinze Jr.Rachael Leigh CookMatthew Lillard
Zach Siler (Freddie Prinze, Jr.)—soccer star, class president, honor student—is the big man on campus at his California high school. At the outset of the film, his popular girlfriend, Taylor Vaughan (Jodi Lyn O'Keefe) dumps him for a faded reality TV star from The Real World, Brock Hudson (Matthew Lillard), whom she met on spring break. Although he is hurt by Taylor's rejection, Zach consoles himself by saying that Taylor is replaceable. Zach's friend, Dean Sampson, Jr. (Paul Walker), disagrees. They make a bet on whether or not Zach can turn any girl into the Prom Queen within six weeks. While walking around the school, Dean picks out Laney Boggs (Rachael Leigh Cook), an antisocial, unpopular art student, as his choice for Zach.

Zach approaches Laney in the attempt to transform her into the prom queen. His first encounter with her is a failure, when she pointedly ignores his attempt to befriend her. Laney's little brother, Simon (Kieran Culkin), continuously talks Zach up to Laney. Zach is eventually successful in getting Laney to invite him to a lounge that is frequented by artists and performers with help from Laney's friend Jessie (Elden Henson) against Laney's wishes. Laney performs a contemporary and interpretive performance. Afterwards, Zach is invited to take the stage. At this point, Zach improvises and performs with the hacky sac in his pocket. Laney is amused by Zach's performance but rejects him after he makes a move on her. He continues to attempt to see her by becoming friends with her brother and, in an attempt to stop this, Laney agrees to see him and they go to the beach together. He successfully persuades her to come to a party at Preston's house the same night, by employing his sister Mackenzie (Anna Paquin) to give her a makeover and making the JV soccer team clean her house. At the party, Laney is humiliated by Taylor, but is consoled by Zach.

During these outings, Dean begins to show an interest in Laney as Zach's victory becomes more and more imminent. Dean also invites Laney to the prom, in an attempt to ruin Zach's attempt at winning the bet. As a result of her new look and Zach's interest, Laney is nominated for Prom Queen and this begins a battle between Laney and Taylor Vaughn for the crown. Dean, angry after a fight with Zach, tells Laney about the bet and she forces him to reveal the truth about the bet in public, to her (and his) great embarrassment. Zach ends up attending the prom with his sister, while Taylor arrives alone, thinking that Zach is still interested in her. On prom night, Dean shows up at Laney's house in a tuxedo; Laney reluctantly changes clothes and goes to the dance with him.

Can't Hardly Wait is a 1998 American teen comedy film written and directed by Deborah Kaplan and Harry Elfont. It stars an ensemble cast including Jennifer Love Hewitt, Ethan Embry, Charlie Korsmo, Lauren Ambrose, Peter Facinelli, and Seth Green, and is notable for a number of "before-they-were-famous" appearances by various teen stars of the era.

The movie takes place at a high school graduation party, and in a style much like that of the high school movies of the 1980s. The filmmakers were inspired to make the movie because they felt that in most teen films the best scenes were the party scenes. Therefore, they decided to make a movie that was set entirely at a party. Though the film deals in common high school stereotypes, some favor the film's chaotic but appealing mise en scène and performances.

The movie was named after The Replacements' song of the same title, from their 1987 album Pleased to Meet Me. The song plays at the end of the movie, when the credits start rolling.

Written by Josh Goldsmith and Cathy Yuspa, the script was "polished" by Niels Mueller (who lost an initial writing credit in a subsequent dispute arbitrated by the Writers Guild of America).[3] As the story opens, Jenna Rink (Christa B. Allen) is a girl celebrating her 13th birthday on May 26, 1987, who wishes to be 30 in hopes that it would help her overcome her unpopularity at school. Jenna especially wants to join the "Six Chicks", a school clique led by Lucy "Tom-Tom" Wyman (Alexandra Kyle), who takes advantage of Jenna's desire to fit in by manipulating her. Jenna's best friend, Matt Flamhaff (Sean Marquette), gives her a doll dream house he built for her and a packet of "magic wishing dust" for her birthday, which is sprinkled on the roof of the house.

Tom-Tom dashes Jenna's hopes of joining the Six Chicks by pulling a cruel practical joke on her during a game of "Seven Minutes in Heaven". Jenna, mistakenly thinking Matt was responsible, yells at him and barricades herself in the closet where she put the Dream House. She cries and rocks backs and forth, bumping into the wall, wishing to be "30, flirty, and thriving". The wishing dust from the dollhouse sprinkles on her, and seconds later, Jenna awakens as a 30-year-old woman (Jennifer Garner) living in a Fifth Avenue apartment, without her friends or family. It is now 2004, but Jenna has no memory of the 17 years that have passed since her 13th birthday.

Sydney White (Amanda Bynes) is the daughter of a plumber, and has grown up among construction workers ever since her mother died when she was nine. Sydney earns a scholarship for college and hopes to follow the legacy of her mother and enter the Kappa Phi Nu sorority. Shortly after arriving at Southern Atlantic University, Sydney clashes with the sorority president Rachel Witchburn (Sara Paxton), after Rachel sees Sydney talking to her ex-boyfriend (although according to Rachel and those who speak on her behalf, he is her on-off boyfriend) Tyler Prince. Rachel tries to deny Sydney's bid for membership in the sorority, but cannot because Sydney's mother was a member. Despite Rachel's hazing, Sydney successfully meets all of the requirements during her time as a Kappa pledge.

Rachel schemes to keep Sydney out of the sorority and uses her presidential authority to declare Sydney unfit to be a Kappa. Humiliated, Sydney immediately leaves the Kappa house. With no place to go, Sydney is taken in by seven outcast students who live in "The Vortex" (which is called The Vortex because "it sucks in losers"), a house on Greek Row for people who don't belong. In the house, she befriends all the guys ("the dorks"), especially Lenny, (Jack Carpenter) who falls for Dinky Hodgekiss (Crystal Hunt), one of Sydney's popular friends.

The Vortex, however, is badly in need of repairs, and the Greeks will not pay for it. Rachel tries to get it condemned so she can build a Greek Centre in its place. An angry Sydney convinces one of her housemates, Terrance, to run for Student Body President on the "Freedom to the 7th Power" ticket in order to take back what the Greeks have had for so long. But he is disqualified because he graduated 6 years before but did not leave the Vortex and the "Dorks" are kicked out of the Vortex by the Health Department. Sydney then runs for president herself.
